Yeah poorly editing posts and miss wording. Usually I enjoy the lack of population at night time and can re-edit anything I like before anyone sees it after I have looked at it again and found that it is possible for someone to read into something the wrong way.

All these builds above are min/maxxed badly. I now challenge the clever Tainted to have a go.
PVP duelling is kiss chase. Its about who can run the fastest. One AT given a squash racket with another given a Vector Uzi Full Auto. -
Reroll a Mind/Kin
. How bad is repel nowadays? 1 in 16 secs chance of detoggle isnt it? (otoh as I would know if I had old excel files on old pooter).

No, there was no planning for today as their wasn't enough people available. I counted 5, available as off Thursday, not 8, my mates from Union just don't fancy paying 12 pounds to goto Defiant and then return to Union (Union is where they PvP). I paid 5.99 for my Ninja/TA to go zukunft villains (its actually good there so no problem) and 5.99 to put my scrapper on defiant. Thats 12 pounds so far. In time this'll happen. PM me names over time, I am sick of the title, talking about it and never doing it. After talking to Maelwys, with his knowledge this should be less harder than I first figured and I figured it do able with a low defeat count.
-
Best PVE travel power for SRs is flight, you get a flight speed boost and can maneuver all over the place. Tough and weave I ain't ever needed once 50 (enemies only get so much higher). Weave is insignificant in PVP and Tough is only S/L.
-
I (too) am getting sick of looking at the title. My scrapper is at IP right now incase a random team of 7 scrappers turn up
despite the thread lacking in a headcount. The scrapper tanking AVs method will blow the game for some people. I am wondering if that Oreo thingy (repeating mission thing) will allow me to go thru the Praetorian AV Arc once again with my scrapper. AVs are my thing really, will it or is just stuff you haven't done before?
The next STF for my scrapper is an all scrapper STF and I will do nothing less -
Can you opt to do this Sunday evenings instead? I mean Friday nights? Oh come on!
Having come up with the ultimate, best-in-the-entire-world, Inv/SS, build. I need to earn hami-s and also sell some of them for inf etc, etc to achieve it.
I am quite prepared to add team TP and Grp Fly to my Empath and villain side my MM. 7 teams of 7 leaves a spare person out of team, the number 50, who could in an emergency get invited to any team for team tping etc. -
Hmm an Elektra type toon...

I didn't get taunt because i simply see no point in it with a fire tanker =] argue all you like but thats my opinion lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fire Melee with Pyre Mastery needs taunt probably the least however, I will tell you that you will have "limits" other Tanks don't.
If this is just a farming type Tank, at which, it wouldn't surprise me if nothing Tankwise beats Fire/Fire/Pyre I would of included Burn and left out Fire Sword.
Fire Sword Circle gauntlets the foes around you so that they are all taunted before you Burn which hits them for a third of its damage of 5,2 end, which is still good damage for 5,2 before they realise its time to run out, as they run out you hit them with Combustion. Combustion is of greater AoE than Fire Sword Circle which is why its after Burn, its in order to catch the runners. The runners being gauntleted again run back into Burn for a 3rd of its damage. Not everything runs though and with certain people in the team not everything can run. With an Immob or a Hold, Burn is a great single target attack also. -
I did wonder why no hasten. I like it, its a must have in all my tanker builds quite frankly. A Tank can become so overpowered PVEwise now I have no idea why its played apart from perhaps fast and easy inf for other toons. You must like to PVP some to need to IO out imo. PVE game is sharply becoming a complete walkover at 50.
If you use jab and boxing often, I'd of simply end slotted them, tohits in rage are probably nicer than accs in the low damage attacks if your perma.
I think once your on IOs its enough, depending on how you play and so I usually don't even read other peoples IO builds at all, just this one interested me a bit. -
Chances to disorient are really low on both boxing and jab. 3rd end mod in stamina is 0.08 end recovery per second. For filling the Psi hole its really good.

Unfortunately, I don't have IO sets yet but I did fully slot with standard IO to get the percentages up while I save 4 IO sets on all my chars

The scrapper I use to tank AVs with is on SOs.
Not kidding.
Brains/Braun.
There is stuff I am holding back on.
Its not all about shields. Those that keep looking there are gonna miss out other sometimes better solutions. Shields are good for most of the game like everyone knows but the game is completely doable without IOs. If you PVP you need the planner in my Sig for example and IOs more than you do for PVE. The game is completeable with SOs np. Another beauty with IOs is that you can find slots and lose powers in order to have a the more playable concept you were looking for.
@Anaan. I moved my scrapper to Defiant cos more people from Defiant were up for it at the time to go on test. I have next to no friends on Defiant and tons of people who resent me but thats no different to Union. -
I love the name, you must of either saved it or its been freed up because I wanted it!
For an SO build and a first go I really like it. Your not over-slotting toggles. 2 endreds in Wet Ice for example is a easy mistake that if anyone reads the figures on should instantly come to understand. With EA + Stamina its easily possible to go around with toggles unslotted for endurance. Toggle slotting for end means a faster recovery rate but the 2nd endred doesn't do as much as the very first.
If you use Barrage a lot that uses up a lot of endurance over time. I'd of end slotted that to prevent the endurance from getting low in the first place so decreasing its eps could be worth it. Constantly spammed, barrage is worse eps than most your toggles put together but better dps than other ST attacks spammed. You won't spam it but keeping the attack chain as low on end is nice and best done through this power as its already a fast recharger.
Level 6: Chilling Embrace -- EndRdx(A), Taunt(7), Taunt(7), Taunt(13)
I got 1 end 1 taunt and 1 slow. Never needed more slots.
Level 10: Taunt -- Taunt(A), Taunt(11), Taunt(11)
This is a too taste thing. 3 slots as a minimum is good to spare. At lvl 10 /em Salute.
Level 32: Hibernate -- RechRdx(A), RechRdx(34), RechRdx(34), Heal(34), EndMod(46)
I estimate your actual slotting will differ.
Level 35: Icicles -- EndRdx(A), EndRdx(36), EndRdx(36), Acc(37), Dmg(39)
Damage is good. 2 end 3 acc 2 dam is good to start till foc acc. I almost 3rd end nothing unless its eps is about double what this one is. I wish i took this at 12, on 10 foes at a time, over time, its great damage.
Level 41: Focused Accuracy -- EndRdx(A), EndRdx(42), EndRdx(42), ToHit(43), ToHit(43), ToHit(43)
This is where 1 acc in everything is fine PVE. On SOs this does get 3 end slots. Its about +per or not missing. I have it on my /SS, the last possible melee set to need foc acc but I really hate missing.
Level 44: Energy Transfer -- Acc(A), EndRdx(45), Dmg(45), Dmg(45), Dmg(46)
Level 47: Total Focus -- Acc(A), EndRdx(48), Dmg(48), Dmg(48), Dmg(50)
Both late for me and no recharge. I like to take out the key problem enemies asap. I know some builds are tight but great gauntlets of good area come off of these. Energy is as slow as hell to level without these so definately more Damage in Icicles when no one is on. -
[ QUOTE ]
It's 5% -Tohit base and VERY endurance heavy, so slotting is tricky. Given that Oppressive Gloom costs far less endurance and is much more useful on a AoE-damage toon, not many /DAs take CoF for PvE these days.
Also bear in mind that it'll be applying less than half that -tohit value when you're fighting +4 AVs, so realistically you'd actually be better off taking Combat Jumping or Maneuvers for the defense buffs (!!).

I was simply thinking about getting through the missions XD. I had a post on these forums with a listing of LRs resistances extra "roughly". Modified in lvl and modified in the changes since i7 which is what most people would look at but I can't find it. I had it on excel. Excel is on my old pooter which went kaput otherwise I'd repost it in a jiffy here. I did think sod it I will have to leave the game because itll be a long time before I can afford a new one whilst the old one was on its last legs, occasionally shutting down itself. Now it stops and starts. If i can get it running in a cold cold place I can get my excel back and do something like make a copy. I am on a new pooter, can't afford it really but I just couldn't stop myself.

I think herding the clones is where you're going wrong on a Scrapper heavy team.
[/ QUOTE ]
No I was just saying with Shannon, I actually herd the lot, not that thats what we will do. The seperating would be new on me. I normally try to make sure that everything there is all taunted and then people start. Scrappers can drop like a stone during that part.
For Kiting Aeon a Regen may stand out better. First remove all the men around him that aren't not clones, one leading Aeon away and sometwo taking the clones, and 5 on the rest then go get supply of insps then do Aeon with everything we got, DAs to take one for the team in order to use Soul transfer just as the Invulns are in on Unstoppable, then we nuke perhaps and see how it turns out. I never needed a seperation or tried for one so it'll be new on me. What we can do with him that depends on whose in team. One of my mates is a regen with taunt but he is also, the already mentioned somewhere in these posts, the one with the broken digit. He'd have to transfer from Union but I need to know if he can play.Damage should be alright as scrappers I would of thought.
@Cynic and @Nightmarer, ya both have nice utility tools that I can work withI dont know about Aeon.
I can make myself available at any time this weekend. Itll be nice to know anyones available time slots. The sooner the better I think. I rather just do it. -
The -tohit is good for SR's which is me! A whole team of DAs is overpowered. Someone running off with the clones should be good, I never tried it as on Shannon I just herd the lot. DAs taking an alpha to Soul transfer sounds sweet. With a DA in the team it'll probably turn out to be less awkward than without. I fancy Invulns as a second wave after DAs. Then plenty of that buff regen Nuke then all in maybe.

Tanking takes a mindset. At lvl 10 you would be squishy but not necessarily incapable of Tanking the best xp/time for a team that averages around your lvl with good support. Be patient and progressive. Patient in finding your skills and progressive in finding your limitations. I guarantee at 50 there will still be stuff to learn. All the problems and the worries in levelling up are good to have and you should find "your" way through it all.
-
No need to know the build, just the powerpicks. Most people keep their builds to themselves (I do) I have the oddest builds out of all the Tankers, Scrappers and Brutes, no build on any forum slots like me XD . I am probably easily on my own in them.
However in your build there are no secondary effects I can make use of other than damage, -tohit and stacking toggle effects with Maelwys would be nice. I do like Dark. Attacks are ideally slotted btw as fights might get long in duration. -
GV is last mission. G mode is god mode. You can kite amongst 3-4 of the easiest minions for a heal (I do with my Dark Brute). I'll pass you lucks, sturdies and aid other you an all.
When I tank the others with my scrapper, by kiting, not only would all the other scrappers have damage removed off of them and so can just keep fighting they can fight with their toggles off and save end. By sacrificing my DPS I boost the teams DPS. If most people were to drop there is no DPS.
The only way to kite Mako is through me flying and using the fact that he is incapable of flying. Scirroco with lack of immobs and -fly would also fly and so with limited -fly he would need to be kited on the ground. All in all better to go Dark for him.
Aeon is the pig imo, do Aeon, we do em all. -
I don't think its PVP thats not popular enough, I think the game is not popular enough. More people, more PVPers.

My idea on how I was gonna attempt an all blaster STF was fubarred. My next idea revolved around 8 /Devs with the Selfish Epic and G knows what can happen.
That all Tanker STF was the one that was gonna happen on the Saturday after I first wanted an STF here to happen but the Test server went down. The next Saturday I wanted to do it just before they got to, but test went down again leaving me wondering if they were gonna do it as I wanted to beat them to the punch.
Aeon is the Pig for scrappers. No question. I don't have enough knowledge on him really as he is not someone I have been able to toy with. I am assuming a worst, but not a complete worry. It could come to just be a pain in the butt of a pull and set up. I wouldn't care if the entire load of warburgs was used on him and all the shivans. Every nuke and shiv is at disposal right there because when it comes to Inner Circle, the flyer and LR I am not convinced we need them temps. Leaderships are nice but not a necessity or if all goes suspiciously too well, a single resurrect. The run in fight, plant, run in fight, plant is with an initial good pull, avoidable, and I will rather attempt more pulls to get it.
The modifiers between GMs and AV that do change don't effect my ability to be tanking any of them. So without going back to double check whether those particular AVs in RV do have modifiers in order to be made challenging for "more than one team" for sure, which although I am sure of, I am open to not being 100% correct on it.
Scirroco and Aeon are gonna be the hard ones for me. It "used" to be GW with support (right at the beginning) but now its Scirroco without support, sound strange? Won't be strange if and when you see why. One single secondary effect puts him right with the others though.
Through a select combination of secondary effects which are pretty much unrated in everyday game in combination with the limits of what AVs can and can't do we should gain survivability against all of them....but with Scirroco and Aeon thats said with a "hopefully". Even lvl AVs not in GV we can keymash, you can tank the psi ones or anyone you like as well and then in GV as no one else would respec I will personally tank them hopefully one at a time especially cos we blew all our temps on Aeon.
I'd like to see peoples power choices (not slots) to know what secondary effects are available. I really don't like Scirroco and it maybe a case of Scirroco getting completely keymashed with us all in G mode with you as tank for him Maelwys as you have end resists, pop lucks anyway. Might try to have to do him first by trying to seperate him on his travel power. -
Those 54s AVs in RV have GM modifiers.
All defender and all controller STFs have been done afaik unless you can link me otherwise.
One of the Saturdays, the last Saturday there was a post to do an all Tanker STF on that day on the Justice Server iirc I wanted badly to be hitting an all Scrapper STF same day but test server wasn't running again. They didn't have people turn up so that didn't happen.
My train of thought is always all over the place -
Demo recording is putting me off the whole idea.
[ QUOTE ]
Once anyone in this knows the method and should it still work it might be best to keep it under wraps and use it, if thats what your toon can afford to be about, only in emergencies.
[/ QUOTE ]
What goes on tour, stays on tour. The only thing I want people knowing is the result. The techinique simplifies the game a bit. The game should be challenging and the road to discovery and success the same for all. A demo record is a motion picture guide that could get out...I hate guides. -
With recovery rates of regens tactics would of been nice but thats not a prob, get yellows for tohit before Mako. Also with regens weapon mastery for its utility tools would of been more easily affordable. Dark armour is nigh on Tank, resists end drain better than me and best of all it gives off nice secondary effects. More than one stacking them would be nice. My friend with a broken digit has been levelling a Dark Armour on Defiant only lvl 33 so far though. One person who can afford to respec would still be handy.
PM me if during the weekends there are times you definately cant be online so that I know where a best fit of 8 people are.
I would do an all Scrapper take down of the GMs on Defiant if it were possible but I know what "some" PVPers are like. I like to see a multitude of people succeed at something and they like to see themselves succeed at something while a multitude fail but still, it is a PVP zone for PVP. My manners aren't good for PVP, my stalker asks people for a fight.
Dont expect to neccessarily debt cap on the STF, debt is entirely avoidable, always was.
An all Tanker STF in one aspect is slightly more complicated and in another less complicated. If we get this done this counts as both as far as I am concerned. -

Thats a nice Demo. Id hate to fight a Mind/Psi with most any of my toons, prolly, maybe my SR will stand a chance...no wait...nope.
One sidednesses example why I prefer team PVP or to see team PVP going on. Although duels are great for concentrated practice.
