odd I thought Tanks and Brutes were meant to be the same. Well...stone brutes if slotted wil could take alot of damage like a tank. Surly they should be able to tank, right?
[/ QUOTE ]Taking damage != Tanking.
Tanking = Keeping aggro without dying.
Stone Armour is the worst tank, and second worst brute armour set for tanking.

Defiant PVP zones rock!
I love em, all PVE and RPers should come to Defiant and enjoy! -
Trick question. The correct answer is Yes and No. Take it or try to live without it to find out which one it is for you.
I am a whole lot of help aren't I -
What happened there is you only kept 17 at once interested and as you gained interest in those you ran into, others lose interest, even I saw many stop and stand around or start running back. Through out-ranging and blocking they weren't all able to hit you at once. But slowly overtime you group many within an area of each other and just about keep them there. The interest wasn't constant. It was virtual. I don't bother with aggro cap, whatever is there I will just jump into and hit. There is a conga line of stupidity trick to achieve with great taunt duration in the aura, you pull 17 into perception range of 2 other groups and as you defeat those 17 some from those untaunted groups take an interest. Nice use of Burn. I like seeing burn. Those numbers for 5,2 end are pure joy.

Although i like my quills, for PvP sake What do you suggest instead of quills then?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well you have caltrops. How about TP foe? I dunno pick anything even quills. I don't PVP anyway making my characters usually built on any reason other than getting ST kills. -
Why take quills? Apart from extra secondary effect without an action time and pittance damage but is it worth using on a single target in PVP? Although on a regen I don't think its too bad but SR has quickness to compensate not getting it and less endrec than regens. Spines is awesomely end friendly without quills.

On my Zombie/Dark I finally named them or atleast got planned names on those still to get. They are all witch Hunters and/or have commited heinous crimes against women. Koschei is the very first known legendary Lich I think.
Zombie Horde
Jean Bodin
Nicholas Remy
Pierre De Rostegny
Grave Knights
Matthew Hopkins
Konrad Von Marburg
Lich
Koschei (First Russian Legendary Lich)
And being my undead is mean't to be hell for them especially as my character is a witch. -
I just read that this very minute. He had I think said before that all weapons have a redraw time to them. They have obviously got to recheck.

NCSoft should stop selling T-shirts and start selling Anoraks.
Now this could be a sentence that could be interpreted 3 different ways.
As Flaming.
As Trolling.
Or a straight forward, harmless statement without implying anything.
I try to read peoples posts in the greatest light possible because mountains are made out of mole hills otherwise.
Accusing someone of trolling or being idiotic is often in fact being idiotic and trolling.
Flame wars disgust me -
The animation would appear the same. There are dummies in the Vanguard place. Start an attack chain (the longer the better) inclusive of a redraw start. At the end of the chain check the time. Then repeat the exact attack chain without the redraw start so following on. Check the time. They should be the same. A subtle possible boost to Mace could be, upon removing redraw time from all weapon attacks of every set and adding it to the recharge times leave maces recharge time the same.
-
They could just for mace and axe remove the draw times on the ST attacks and add the draw period to the recharge period. Increase the time before all weapons get put away by themselves and change the powers that pointlessly require weapons to be put away. Then give Mace and Axe to Brutes whom they are more conceptually suited for. Mace lacks a wow factor thats for sure but having looked into the numbers I don't find mace gimped or better still as gimped as people say.

will have 45% defense to melee, range and aoe without even popping elude
[/ QUOTE ]
Only 45%?
Now SR's can be easily taken to 50% melee and 53% ranged/AoE
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry for the derail. Yes only 45% dead on! Well melee and ranged its dead on and not a decimal point more or less because the scrapper is for pve. The AoE def is planned to 52.7% def which couldn't be helped (or could it?..) Well anyways I wont have divine avalanche or elude in the build. -

On test I have a char with two rapiers. When it hits live I would love to accompany your DB 50 journey Shannon.
Edit: Added clicky link

2 problems with me.
I log in at about 11pm weekdays and 2pm weekends so would really be better off on US servers -
Someone cry out for a rapier gauche/willpower theme team.
Go for something Renaissance like Musketeers.
ALL FOR ONE, ONE FOR ALL.
Add maneuvers to us all (8*3.4% = 27% def all).
Get to 50 do an all Dual Blade STF (I'd tank it with my DB scrapper!)
A journey to be remembered!

I got till 50 without Aid Self on my SR too, I repec'd it in and its now far better than it was before. I would have had an easier time with in the build and would recomend anyone take it
[/ QUOTE ]
Sure getting to 50 with an SR is doable but aid self can add so much more life to an SR. With my Kat/SR I'll never get aid self and will have 45% defense to melee, range and aoe without even popping elude but my first SR was claws. Claws has no +def anything within the primary and so has more reason to respec in aid self which I did at 50. I had reached 50 with the claws/sr with powers like combat kick in my build and such a beginner was I, that the words "attack chain" meant a steel chain for fighting with. This was before defense scaleability making non perma eluded claws/SRs squishie and I sure do rate any icetanker who 50'd before def scaleability. -
I have an invuln tank and prefer invuln on tanks but with the DA from divine avalanche and possibly you could add fight pool as well for weave instead of passives you maybe fine and not have the Invuln, SR or Regen feeling again.
Kat/dark looks cool, my friend has one, he looks like a dark samurai and gets in there and tanks with it. He has presence pull provoke and fear powers and seems to be rather effective.
As much as I had spent many hours on an invuln playing Broadsword/Regen has made me feel like I should of gone Broadsword/invuln due to the lengthy cast times and would suspect the same problem if I was Kat/Regen...the attacks cast time is nearly over, I am just about to heal..oops too late...Revive ftw! -
A newbie controller would aoe immob unclustered foes. Which can actually be bad news for invuln and willpower. I tend to like to make it so controllers take a knock from it and realise its a bad idea if they do it too often. I do wonder whose side people are on at times. Spread groups also usually take longer to take down.

How i love my Granite
[/ QUOTE ]
I am not going to be able to have the flexibilities my other tanks have with my stone tank and so will have to love granite too....
...."at times". -
My main worry is that willpower will require a certain dynamic at times and people will be playing as though your an icetank or a stonetank not giving you that dynamic and so..you plant.

Keep the lower end cost but add extra recharge pls
for something when defs solo as well.
-
Tanks have to keep gauntletting to keep aggro in a virtual sense without taunt. Offering much less chance in guarantees, definately much less chance in the flexibility of team make ups and offering much less chance of both team and less importantly, personal safety.

The only absolutely unequivical concensus on Taunt is that you need it for the Statesman Task Force.

Unless perhaps, as an example, your tanking for 7 controllers or defenders who barely need you. XD
