Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.21
http://www.honourableunited.org.uk/mhd.php -
Katana is a bit attack pose attack pose attack pose but otherwise good. Dual blades is fast but the combos aren't all that fluid with each other. So until you are totally adept in them the attack chain filling between combos aren't going to be needed in the combo after the next and so you might be a bit attack pose anyway. Once you have dual blade chains down it should be fast as hell.
I already prefer dual blades. 36 brute, 36 scrapper, 36 tanker and 36 stalker on test which is nice! I might remake all 4 especially the stalker and scrapper as they are proving mighty! -
I have done all the tfs umteen times. Id be happy to do any at the weekends.

As I am someone online to play a hero. Obviously about saving people. inclusive of my friends. As all part of one big plan. Dimension Shift in a time of need is a Dimension Shift given.
But people turn the game into work. That place you can't wait to leave. The part of ones life that is a rat race. The game becomes that. Its about efficiency. Its about control. its about teaming with all the right power sets so everything runs smoothly and steamrolling becomes so easy its mowing the lawn. People either want to farm or they want to garden. Certain powers are ftw and certain ones are considered wasteful. You use dimension shift to save even more than one member and there is someone; who didn't need saving; who hates you for it. That someone has no idea nor even cares for who you saved with it.
I am in the wrong game cos I wanted to play a hero didn't i?
Dimension shift is alright for things like that second group, the group the n00bs your carrying ;p didn't see, because they have no idea about perception and aggro cap. In those type of groups after being ambushed needlessly by 3 groups someone is proud for being the last one standing and everyone else applauds for their lucky heroism whilst my thought would be "dubya tee eff didn't anyone pull?"
Players get themselves in trouble and they need the controller to use their secondaries to get them out of it. Had they of allowed for controls first the secondaries wouldn't be so needed.
Before you go changing your powers that would change your concept I'd suggest changing the people you play with.

I can't test it myself having no empath, but it seems to make sense given the values for Regen Aura (500% +regen base). If you could Power Boost it, you would "out-regen" a regen scrapper with IH running. Heals and secondary aside, I still think it's great for empaths for using with Fort (sensible team) or Veng if you have it (not-so-sensible team).
[/ QUOTE ]
If you want to test it I am available for next 30 mins on union.
Id imagine the tick rate would remain the same but the actual heal would of gone up +15% with a heal enhancement making a unnoticeable effect if it does effect RA though.
Its okay i can test it solo cant i.
PB or no PB its identical. -
*Pulls hood over the head and slowly walks away*
How many times has it been mentioned on these forums and ingame about power boosted regen?
Enough times for me to think it was true without actually checking.
Not one person pointed this out before.
My only reason for having power boost is now "gone".I'd rather control many than need to fort anyone anything extra.
My empath ain't my focal point in getting everything right on, or playing often and power boost is fairly new on me because in game terms I have only had it 6-8 hours.
For the STF I did not find power boost necessary or vengeance but at least I can't find it as a joy as it was to have now in believing the regen aura looked damn nice. Before I respecified power boost it in. It must of been already damn nice but I just hadn't played her for so long I couldn't remember.
*kicked vengeance into the hole on a sensible team*
*now kicks power boost into the hole on a sensible team*
Or should I check? CoD has lost my trust on certain things in terms of being out of date, wording catching me out and the possibility of the game changing behind our backs (enemy wise). -
Where are all you people who think TA rocks, where are you all when i log in and need a team? Is it me? It's me ain't it!
Well anyways this would mean that I now would have time to attack things on a fast paced team and would therefore have to slot attacks alot better seeing as they can now be used which I guess isn't hard with IOs.
I'd much rather finish mine when oil slick is fixed the as the journey would be bugged one otherwise. -
In PvP I don't particularly rate passive defense, even at 103% its not enough. I'd rather sling controls and aid self.
-
The AoE department is what Warshades are about for me. I needed to find a area in which my Warshades can have a niche that makes them particularly attractive especially in terms of fun. Some max/minners (not min/maxxers) would say that its only when they play a warshade the grouping up 16 for AoEs is the only time they like herding. In being a big fan of AoEs I try to make my WS a self sustaining nuker but obviously only in some teams can my warshade function as well as I intended.

If the current state of AV's and GM's make you think that they are all so different i advise you to play some other games to see some real proper encounters that involve a lot more tactics. The current AV's GM's are [censored] easy and in fact i can tell you people who soloed GM's after ED and i am pretty sure they can do it [censored] easy atm with inventions.
[/ QUOTE ]
They are different. A couple will fear you. One will end drain you. Some will hit you with a damage type you cant resist too well if at all. If they all did the same thing the game would be boring. Players power sets are different so we all have different things to be challenged by and can go through the game more than once in a slightly different manner and mind set. Challenges can be created by the player base yet they're not because lets face it, people just want to mow the lawn. Being teamed with other people that make a team make up in which they can just treat every single faction in exactly the same way - "run in and mash keys". If a challenge actually comes their way and they'd go grab the character they can do it easiest with. This is how and why you can't already tell the difference between the AVs and GMs. Find people to make up a highly sub optimum team and then go do the AVs and GMs. In a mission where someone says "I'll get my ____" just say no and look to do it differently.
[ QUOTE ]
Huh?Lol.Add perception?First of all this is sucky solution for indoor maps.Works only in open maps. And what the hell how you come up with the number 136 lol. Also why defenders get aggro lol this is just inconsistent.
[/ QUOTE ]
In indoor maps getting 30 on the team at once takes one or two fairly survivable people to get too close to other groups and is done in PuGs all the time. If you want defenders to get hit just ignore any form of tactics anyone is trying to set and grab more than what the team can control for a lengthy enough period.
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry but i laugh at this.Cant be serious.
[/ QUOTE ]
It wasn't all too serious no. Be stupid for a moment to cause overwhelming problems and then get serious. I think its great to play with people who have an understanding of gaming dynamics but by playing without people who have an understanding of gaming dynamics the game has added difficulty..so join a PuG.A lot of people are run in and mash keys. If your the tank being all proper roleplay and concerned for peoples survival the key mashers are likely to ignore your advice on how you are going to handle the aggro, gain more than they can handle from that death room, die, then applaud you for being the last one standing but then eventually hate you for their power debting. Go team with those people

I don't give any of my tanks tough or weave just to live at a psuedo higher setting when on invincible than those that "need it".

Huh.Yeah because tough and weave make it so much more difficult.

I hope for your sake your being sarcastic and agreeing with me otherwise your confusing.

personally want more perception, it'll make many people cry, a team would more likely get attacked by more than 17 meaning defenders get attacked anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
Perception is not a solution imho.Doesnt add any smartness to mobs. They will just come in and die like sheep.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am sorry a group perfectly visible enough to us should see us back and be smart enough to attack us while we can be outnumbered. What are you fighting? Greys? Dont you know that attacks can only effect upto 16 at a time? So in a group with a pull of 30 its pot luck to what happens next. Defenders, Controllers and Blasters are easily dropped. They have no mezz protection and would be sitting targets. Then the rest of the wall falls down. A cavern trial would be harder because not only do you fight one group you could end up fighting plenty more and so would have to be progressive but at least its realistic.
I don't do fun anyway. -

Most of what your looking for is already attainable. Just be the noob in a big team of bad builds on the highest setting and then you can inflict what you want to see in results on yourself and the team.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am sorry but this is a totally wrong and misleading comment.
- Heals dont generate aggro really. Unless of course a targeted heal goes off first which is not the case i am talking about.
-Mobs and AV's are definitely not anything complicated since the idea of added difficulty for the devs so far has been added regen and Hitpoints.
- The results of smartening up mobs and adding extra difficulty is for actually stressing AT's in PvE which atm doesnt happen
- Sorry but i am talking added challenge for good players and not playing like a noob so the comment is totally out of place since we aint talking about noobs and bad teams obviously.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you want aggro as a defender then attack before all is taunted. Find yourself popping break frees and have team thats using vengeance on you. Its not hard to blast.
Don't talk to me about AVs and GMs, I can name alot of their attacks and tell you what they do. They all do something different because they are all meant to be different. They do resist effects and they do attack with different secondary effects. Regen and hit point playing has stopped Rads being so much of the in-thing for the sake of removing tedium and more balance.
As far as smartening up mobs goes: add perception, then the amount that can come to team at once can be any figure, defenders should get aggro. All characters are capped at a sensible level considering attacks and balance. If their is 8 ppl on a team then the total level of possible aggro to team could well be 136.
By playing as a n00b in the team you make the game more challenging for yourself and the team. In fact the game is more challenging than it needs to be almost all of the time. Thats not saying everyone is a n00b but for the sake of speed and fun, risks are taken. A lot of people play not knowing the full dynamics of the game which keeps things interesting, the days of me running around going "OMG how did that happen?" were better days.
I don't give any of my tanks tough or weave just to live at a psuedo higher setting when on invincible than those that "need it". Want things harder? Turn them toggles off. I also like to see if pure builds are capable of doing things and find that half whats considered "the must haves" aren't strictly true. Orobous system will for most people have a more challenging game on offer for those that choose it.
I personally want more perception, it'll make many people cry, a team would more likely get attacked by more than 17 meaning defenders get attacked anyway. I'd also like to see attacks not turn corners in getting to people. No action time to taunt because it is just a shout which can be done whilst mobile. People take PL to avoid hard gaming its like "oh no I can't go thru that again". People also avoid teaming with others the harder the game gets. I had asked for a higher setting than invincible a long time ago, no one in every team will be fine on one but a harder setting will probably make all those that "need" easy mode sets to team with to be a good player more abundant.
Want to be seen as a great player? Firetank, 6 blasters, 1 stormie and the STF. Go do. -
Why is it always planned on nights most people have a social life?

Most of my IO slotting is intended to plug the vunerability to fire. I do have Steadfast Protection res/def in Permafrost, it's about all the power is good for.
A lot of the set bonus +def you can get is positional (melee, Ranged, AoE). THIS DOES NOT STACK WITH ICE ARMOUR. But it does for SR.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why the unhappy face? It doesn't take much to get ice armour to 45% in S/L/E/Neg, Cold is a given leaving fire and psionics to worry about. With Fire getting 30% res is easy. You basically don't get slowed, making perma hoarfrost maintainable enough to afford more res for toxic resists if ya like, leaving psionics..join the club!
Although I could be wrong as I have yet to min/max my ice as she is not even 50 yet. I am an altaholic and go to meetings once a week. XD
Oh! PVP.. -
Tanker secondary is superior in duration, flawless accuracy in PVE and with those bonuses you can easily afford to have range/recharge slots which do add more flexibility.
The flawless accuracy is the best thing tho. The "Sorry my taunt missed" is a [censored] excuse
If tanking Arachnos AVs I'd feel safer with a scrapper tanking with confront XD because then I'll know the duration will meet the recharge.
Taunt isn't always necessary in a given team or for a given concept. Taunt only adds flexibility in shaping the battlefield and saving people mainly. Presence pool fear powers have proven very good for many a tanker offering active defense. -
Scrappers can pull from a tanker with confront usually. Its actually a good thing and a bad thing depending on circumstances. With auras its probably a case of:
Who got to the foe first to start the ticks of taunt with the aura? How have they slotted compared to you and what level are they to you?
I have seen tankers who couldn't pull of my kheldian but my kheldian was "higher" and taunts between attack recharges often. This is another one of those things that go to show that Tankers don't actually do as much for scrappers as they do for other ATs anyway.
If i ever get enough people for an all scrapper STF when it comes to fighting the AVs its "auras off" or fail. -
They could make a no XP version of a dreck map that has wakened mobs to give the same Pre ED effect within which people could herd and smash to the hearts content just like in the old days.
*Counts the seconds that would get old*
Oh wait just use greys but with aggro cap removed in the mission! -

Is CE enough to keep the baddies (including AVs) attention on me? I'm too lazy to go test it so I was hoping some1 would help me out. Thanks
[/ QUOTE ]
All AVs in any given team?
No. -
I'd of turned up with my scrapper Katalina but it appears you already have at least 1 tank
Sorry couldn't help it.
Tanks are way better than scrappers at tanking.
If there is enough interest why don't people start a second team.
Race! -

Ne comments good or bad im open to both

I think ya full of win!
In game the scrapper who is the most damaging, generates the most hate, is often more likely to drop first from having the most of the aggro and the least damaging is likely to be the last scrapper standing. Sometimes the "peoples champion" is the one laying on the floor but you have to understand that some people will never see that. Once your heals etc were gone they had to of realized exactly what it was you did.
I have looked and Guild Wars lately and can't believe how wonderful the henchman are. The game is designed to be played in a certain way and the henchmans AI play to it just as you'd expect as the game designers made it so. You go thru quest after quest doing exceedingly well until...
..you have joined a team..
..and everything is out of control.
Naturally so, as the game is being learned by the players. I'd love 7 henchman to take on the STF. I really would as they would be a great coordinated unit playing by design.
The journey of levelling up will often be a complete mess of injustices full of players not knowing/realizing the needs/assistance of others (*looks at anchor droppers intensely*).
Well anyway it doesn't matter who you are or what you can do. You will never please everyone. Which is why some of us flock to those that we are most like-minded with and some just use others for PL. -
My energy aura is complete pants for tanking. It leans more towards the scrapper side. Can it be good for Heroes though? Hopefully.
