However, if you're like me and don't like the idea of Frankensteining your build
[/ QUOTE ]
Does that mean you like to have complete sets? -
Well I have never seen people who are melee having to stand outside of melee and that's with the simplest builds.
*She heals*
"Shut up and keep fighting"
- Yeah that works best.Every time someone stops to type she is harder to put down.
Life Drain - She needs to target someone. Can only attack the tank with it if taunted. If the tank is outside the range of it, she can't use it and thats one heal down. 60ft in range. Even closer a tank could be had with Black Hole. Against which I hope their is plenty of taunt duration.
Twighlight Grasp - Same thing except 80ft this time. Two heals down.
Dark Regen. Now she could pop this off but then won't be able to pop it off for a period of time. I did some counting and it is about 30 secs as I had expected Dark Regen to be. I would also expect Dark Regen to get better with numbers and fair better against those with the least defense as I am sure it requires a tohit check.
In RV one can learn to tank her with a SR scrapper very easily. Her and Mako, together, takes some concentration, she takes most of it but if Scirroco is there I am pooped XD . Sometimes its not just whats in your build; its also whats not in theirs.

or would it be best to bring another tank along to be the primary?
[/ QUOTE ]
Try not to think that with any type of tank. You will limit yourself and limit others. Go in and concentrate on learning from it. Everyone relies on you and you on everyone else. -

Damage is pretty nice, great extra output on a fire/ice farmer.
yet stupid they didnt update the blaster /ice Frozen Aura.
[/ QUOTE ]
Its not the same powerset and things are viewed a bit differently for blasters. The reasoning can be found on the US forums I think with players seeing it as an okay thing. -

Crumbs! And they just effect the player right or all the pets?
[/ QUOTE ]
Just pets. They're the uniques in the pet sets (+10% resist is one and +5% defense the other afaik).
[/ QUOTE ]
XD Oh one Edict and one sovereign? I thought he was on about the other type where both bonuses are in the steadfast. -

18) Repair
[/ QUOTE ]
Crumbs he only asked for two but what's so bad about repair? I always considered it a better option than having to set another one up.
Hang on
[ QUOTE ]
plus with manouvres, the protector bot shields and the force field gen shield i can get my def prety high so im guessing i wont need repair much so i could drop that.

Don't do "guessing". -
Crumbs! And they just effect the player right or all the pets?

I don't think gang war would accept such slotting.
-
Dibs on these!!
For each type I am going to have Spider-Man, Spider Woman, Venom and Black Widow! -
They've pretty much had to use whats in the box for a bit of a filler issue whilst ramping up staff. Most powers are repackaged and similar when it comes to movements across many sets anyway; they are just given a different power graphic and different damage type. However its not all quite the same because they are also put with other powers that make the powerset unlike other powersets. I just see things as ST, AoE, Cone etc so no matter what game I go on I am relatively stuffed but its all the different powers combined that make you different. I have yet to see the latter powers. Suppression and Channel gun are potentially very interesting but I doubt we will get them seriously overpowered. I'd love to sap people good and proper.

A DA with Stamina and a DA with Dark Consumption thats hastened have roughly the same potential to recover endurance except one takes more skill than the other to play right, but the bigger the team the easier it gets. You wouldn't always notice stamina missing especially when you play to your build.

Well after hearing all the negativity I tried a staminaless build on test and it seems to work fine. Basically now I'm more survivable so it works much better as a herding brute. Because fire melee is all about fire sword circle you want a nice big mob to maximise damage per end, and because of the herding time it gives power sink plenty of time to recharge. People also seem to be forgetting I got conserve power as well and with quickness and hasten is up approaching half the time. Not sure how my build would fair in larger teams but for 2 person missions it works wellThanks for the advice though.
[/ QUOTE ]
If its good for 2 man teams (without end buffage) then the bigger the team the better it should be I think. Thats how my staminaless brutes work or will work some are; any less than 4 people = means too few mobs = worse DPE or potentially excessive herd times. The need to herd can be great for various other players and maximizing what they do with greater safety but you will always have someone with only their toon thinking only of whats best for them. Off and on with PuGs you maybe in some teams where the dynamics aren't too helpful. I mean sometimes there is even a fine line between you doing well or badly but that just means challenging so all good. A lot of people play scrapping brutes with stamina or are used to playing alongside them and sometimes to get the dynamics you are better off with you may say lets do this differently and work it out so you get the performance from your build. I think a staminaless */elec is probably easier than my staminaless dark/dark so you may have less problems than I come across. -
Burn: base rechg 25 sec Immob duration 100 secs. If you use it as soon as you get into a mission and use it often then your alright. I think its best used between a FSC (10ft rad) and then Combustion (a larger 15ft rad) in every fight. The wider radius catches runners better making them come back. Used between those 2 powers you should have them running out after a 3rd of the ticks and then running back in for the remaining 3rd if they don't resist fear. If they resist fear there is no running but either way its still great damage per end and when hitting 5 targets its still one of the best dps powers on offer.

Epic-wise, I've tried Body (quite dull, but it was very handy getting me up to 50) and I am finding Dark Mastery useful against Ghost Widow as it gives me a bit of mez to work with and keeps me out of range of that blasted self-heal of hers.
[/ QUOTE ]
But by not being in melee I'd imagine your damage output has dropped significantly. I'd want more def versus her heals. -

I have recently rolled a Nin/Nin Stalker and as my only Villain she is good fun to solo. I am however, more of a team player enjoying the general humour and conversation in teams - not to mention the good xp!
Sadly I have been struggling to find teams for my little stalker and so far she has had to do the past 3 levels all aloneTeam requests and tells are either ignored or flatly declined - are stalkers really thart hated by the teaming masses or does she just need a bath?
[/ QUOTE ]
The players that feel the need to avoid teaming with stalkers suck. -
I don't see a problem with the power choices but as far as slots go its easier to be able to upload the build to start with.

[ QUOTE ]
Quick question: Does anyone seriously know the tanking abilitys of the Warshade at level 50? Because farming Pink missions with a full team without a Tank and with or without a healer is extreamly easy at the moment. Just wondering, because i hear alot of comments how they suck. Just would like to know the facts or if its people just playing Poorly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Peoples opinions are subjective. Mathematically I find the Kheld a poor tank however in various teams against various enemies it will do and sometimes feel better to do it with. "Overall" anyone who feels they are better at tanking with their kheldian than their tank should be slapped. -
I think that first of all the endurance cost of your attack chain + toggles has to be low enough to have you last past the recharge time of Powersink to get around stamina.
Work out a recyclable attack chain. Divide the total end cost of all attacks used, by the chain time. Then work out how much end recovery you will make off of a select number of targets (for PvP thats 1). Compare how much end loss over the recharge time of Powersink to how much Powersink recovers.
Sometimes to go staminaless it can take all 50 levels trying to remove the pain of it because you needed every single slot. Best to go on Test Server. -

/psi is probably the best secondary for range.
[/ QUOTE ]
You cant be serious? Playing a psi without mind probe, drain psyche and psi shockwave would be madness imo. Psi's strength lies in being in mellee so that you can get a great buff from drain psyche then spam PSW like a madman.

There is a difference to what Praf wrote and what you imagined he wrote.
To be in melee or not to be?
Now and then is the answer. -

End/Rechg? -
I don't think different tanks for different situations I just think different tanks, different limitations, different flexibilities -> new ways to go about things.
Some people may think that the only Tank thats worth anything is one that can have people shoot fish in a barrel but I much rather a case of people not being good because of how they build but how they and the rest of the team move. It is largely for me about having to think. Maybe not just you but the people around you too. If you build a super tough tank thats virtually unkillable that gains all aggro who has to think? (I am thinking about doing one just to say look there it is, look now I can do what you do) .
Each type of Tank may have to face different enemies in different ways and people playing with the different types may have to adapt. Once you put one primary with another secondary you are different to someone with the same primary with another secondary.
Some people have different types of Tankers for PvP as well. I am global friends with one who does (despite trolling pvpers incessantly I do have some as friends and some admit to being my friend).
You could be I love tanking so much but I wish "these were easier" or "I am sick of teams that do such and such" and make a tank where that doesn't effect you.
I got a few but I got a few of everything. I think you can learn a lot about tanking from other people and from even playing different characters. In playing defender type A I realize what I should of done when tanking for defender type A, later when another defender type A is not doing what I would do as one. I have to consider it payback for me not tanking right for the first defender A...but really to suffer the pain and agony of playing through things again I would need to have a concept. -
I am just gonna look at something maybe other people won't as I have a Sonic/Sonic "Corrupter". As a Corrupter I am about the offense over support. Saving ones team mates is less of a priority and so I will spend time attacking. It eats end and most people don't watch your end bar and move at a pace as though everything you can support them with is going to last forever. I could not attack but my primary is about attacking and those attacks are -res as well. My damage is support fire like it or not - oh wait I play mine in the worse way possible anyway - but what I notice is that your attack chain is end heavy.
Now your toggles may blow near half your end recovery and as your attacks eat end your end bar may not recover that endurance fast enough and so to keep the toggles running as long as possible you endurance bar could shorten at a slower rate.
Shout, Scream and Shriek are the main offenders. Due to their recharge, they offer the best dps and to use them the worst -eps but they are great to use as you -res. You gain in dpe from increasing damage and lowering endcost, the lowering of end cost will have you do more to your end bar which is for a defender more important (and I really don't suspect vigilance to be that great).
I would look to 6 slot all of those 3 attacks and not just one but that requires finding 4 more slots. I would look to add performance shifters in stamina, your 3 slots is good to help add that and so would leave that.
The 3rd rechg in clarity shaves of barely anything of their rechg times so I would use them (clarity is 0.1 of a sec XD but if with clarity you aimed to do "nigh the whole team" then endred it) or you could play to use Clarity at a more spaced rate and end slot it.
The rechg in Disruption I doubt will make that much of a difference so there is a slot.
I think 2 slots can come out of Dreadful wail. The 5th and 6th bonus is moot for a sonic anyway. I would just 2 acc/rechg 2 dam and be happy if not after some bonus as its something I wouldn't expect or want to use often (maybe I'd use it more often from a ganking in a pvp zone). -
Wow!!
I somehow missed this (maybe I was on a break) but its very good work although not half as impressive as the rest of your gallery which just gets even better. I think you have a great imagination and seriously if I wasn't so strapped right now I'd be asking you to do one for a commission or whatever its called. -
Woah Son!! Thats how much in unstoppable?
Recharge = Unstoppable period + Dullpain Period
300 second recharge is a bit of a dream in order to Tank 3 AVs that look like Scirroco, Ghost Widow and Mako in RV; unaided; with the right insp set up (mainly lucks) way beyond the 10 min mark. I can find from experience, a reason in getting as close to 300 secs as possible...but 6 rechg says its time to IO set the Invuln side!!
