    Wolf spiders

I just been reading right thru that link.

    [ QUOTE ]
If Claws2 was released now, it would *still* be the absolute unequivocal top single target *and* top AoE performer of *all* the scrapper sets, by at least 20% if not more (unless you lock spines in a phone booth and keep slipping critters under the door).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Spines AoE sub par to Claws?

No accounting there for an easier AoE/time I bet. If anyone needs to be in a phonebox Claws does.
  2. I think most people will agree that apart from the obvious psionic issue they differ over different periods over a fight. Some may say that WP is better and some go for Inv; but ideally they are equally just as good, although they should be either played or played with differently..and I think I see that. I was considering all tanks to have their flaws and strengths, but overall, to be fairly evened out theoretically. You just play them slightly differently because of your limitations but then you have certain flexibilities to make up the difference. However teams will often play their way, and that, with having to play slightly differently is possibly why some sets are that more challenging than others.
  3. Now I think why I decided on the Webmaster getting Web Envelope, and not Wide Area Web Grenade, was it down to redraw, recharge, accuracy and aoe?...Looks good..

But it fails on most anything else because WAWG does everything else better, ie the -rechg, -spd, and prevents all forms of knocking about....but by taking web envelope so damn late instead of WAWG the intention in need could well be different and more specific...*raises eyebrow*

So is WAWG better than Web Envelope?

    ..yes and no

but the idea of 6 pets sounds fun to me.

    Claws for Brutes

    [ QUOTE ]
I think that after Shields are introduced plus all the weapon set proliferation that will accompany it, Claws will be the next on the list to go to brutes.

The Devs have been looking at changing animation times for Claws and have said that Widow Claws is testing out some of the things they had in mind for it, but that Claws are already pretty good and they don't want to overpower the set. They might wait until after a Claws revamp to give them to brutes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oooh claws and shields! Should look good.

I think they'd be tweaking all sets over time for balance and so anything is possible.

    Claws for Brutes

Quicker imo. It just looks slower. Although my opinions maybe based on old numbers XD
  6. Happy Birthday Chim,

    @Recluses Phantom.

I think Imperviums are the most popular set for Invulns however for PvE, even SOs still do. You may not need to go for +HP but you can give yourself the regen of someone with more hp. Although I'd rather go for most other things.

There are Invuln Energy Builds if you dig deep. Invincible is great to have for taunt control. All the def you can get from it is great but you can have your base def reduced to nothing but, but, but that taunt control in the aura is what keeps mobs in things like debuffs ie -tohit debuffs. When your def debuffed down considerably you may well want those there passives.

When you do a build, read what each slot physically provides. By that I don't mean "ooh look at my regen its giving me 250%" I mean read the bars and look at the hitpoints per second its giving you.

In a build the order of which I take asap the key powers of Invuln is:

    Temp Invuln
    Dull Pain
    Unyielding
    Invincible
    Tough Hide
    Unstoppable

Stun is often left out. Energy Punch is sometimes traded for air sup for a -fly and knock up.

Energy isn't as ground based as other sets btw but if you get combat jump for slightly more def then I would go swift.
  7. There are about 4 slots minimum, which if I moved them I doubt you'd notice the difference, except ofc in the power that I could of moved them to but even if I had moved them to taunt not everyone would catch on with what to do with it exactly.

    However the respec is done.
  8. By rounding down or up to be excluding decimal places I got:

Darkest Night -29% (3 SOs worth)
    Fearsome Stare -23% (5 Abyss 1 -tohit)
Dark Blast -11% (1 sec to cast, poo dam anyway, fast rechg, gloom is better duration though)

Totals 63% (which is also Blackstars base tohit debuff rounded up).

    Then Fluffy.

With the Dark Blasts I only got 4 including Black Star...25ft rad Black Star - Blue - Dark Consumption.
  9. Its not overkill. When you get to AVs they'd resist most of that and so you could need as much as you can get.

oh and think of -45% tohit as +45% def.
  10. Everybodies mileage will vary on the amount of accuracy required, some scrappers basically never go above fighting 3 at a time whilst others get swamped and how much acc anyone needs sometimes depends on how much attention they get (stacked tohit/acc debuffs), it also depends on their secondary and intentions. Some people may well be 2 end, 2 dam 2 rechg slots in attacks, 2 end slots in foc and no acc or tohit at all - granted they may be invuln.

paragonwiki says that it has only ever been sucsessfully completed on the usa servers taintedgreek thats PARAGONWIKI

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, it was done once on Defiant with Xanthus leading the raid, i was there together with other 49 people.-

    [/ QUOTE ]
I was also there, I helped come up with the plan we used. Of course - that was Hero side.

Villain side I don't think any server in the EU has managed it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I am pretty sure Zukunft bagged him an all.

    [ QUOTE ]
Would love to do this. But if careful planning is required, would it be wise to postpone this a bit? Maybe to the double-exp weekend, more ppl might show up? If done on that weekend, I think a full team from our SG would come. Is it required that all the members are lvl 50?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If I was the organiser I'd make it the weekend after as people might say "i'll keep lvling" also I might add, Union of all servers shouldn't be hard up for 50 ppl who can follow basic instructions.

    Question.

Is the PvP community big enough to get Hamidon done? (Surely they'd all want hamis).
  12. When Hollywood is out of ideas it will grab anything to tick over. I think CoH/CoV ain't as bad as one may think, superheroes and aliens..hmmm..well when you own the rights ya can't be had for any kind of idea stealing.
  13. First of all, it was a lot better than I generally expect. I was really surprised at just how well written it was.

A very good story. There has to be more to how Nucleopatra and Cleo came to be however for me to simply just believe it but if there is to be more of that to come later then great. I am a bit lost on how people didn't die of radiation poisoning but then whatever I read or watch there is always something hard to grasp. Like how does James Bond follow a plane off a cliff on a motorbike and catch it up? Ya get me? One little trap to watch is the over use of the same words. I felt wise guy came up just a tad too much and used too close together. However 5 stars mate!
  14. Gratz Psygon!

It was a matter of time.
  15. Allegedly *cough* you can earn more xp/time in teams.

I think Mind over Body can be taken earlier and taunt can be taken earlier should you want it, with fitness pushed back later. What you do have is QR which is better than stamina so already as far as end concerns are, your better off than Inv/SS, they tend to go stamina and conserve energy with fight pool and until you do footstomp, your xp/time is better of coming from teams. So I would consider fight pool before fitness pool, mainly because of willpower and burst damage (although often avoidable) its just a case of finding end slots for attacks and then once I have stamina, swap the excess end slots for something like recharge.

As my firetank swamped in CoT my last chance tohit went right down to 7.5% which is a crisis really, thats some swamping. Stick me on quicksand and thats some slowing added. Range and Autohit beats having to travel and all that debuffing. I can more likely save someone with taunt and if thats not enough of a good reason to take taunt, then its to have saved someone so that they are able to do more things to the enemy and/or keep me standing just so I can make more xp/time etc

The argument of to take taunt or to not take taunt has been done with too long, too much info is on the boards, not all but enough info. If someone don't like somebodies tanking then they only have to meet another tank, some people of certain powersets may actually prefer tauntless tanks some not, but in terms of flexibility, without it, your lacking.

But then it's not so comfortable to sit on - and it eats more too.

Well he is just a foal atm.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
I think i finally realized why i can't play scrappers, they die a lot. I have the most terrible Scrapperlock and Scrapperhoop all in one. I forget to check my hp bar everytime i get into combat.

    So...
    Rerolled Claws/WP as Claws/Inv
and have a MA/Regen sitting on level 10 (Usually i tend to delete my un-used characters but that lady is really hot and looks good while kicking so i will keep her alive and turn to her after i level my Tanker and Claws scrapper a bit as they can solo better)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Scrappers are fairly solo able and survivable and some come with a self res...thats what you need. Pushing ones limits is part of the fun and if you self res then your hardly a burden because your downtime is pretty limited.

The other ATs are better designed for teaming, and I think with the way the scrapper is; the scrapper being rather independent and least required for support, the scrapper is generally last on the priority list of "who shall I help next?" list from the other ATs point of view. As a defender if a scrapper chooses to do their own thing in a completely different group to the team they're possibly on their own. As my scrapper I really rather everyone else is watched over inclusive of tanks cos sometimes when a tank drops, everybody drops.

Once downtime is minimal I wouldn't give a toot about the odd bit of debt.
  18. My horse will just get bigger.

I am certainly not worried about my fave section anyway.
  19. I am completely lost on the rush with fitness pool.

I live in Leeds and support Man Utd.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thats alright as it Leeds.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
Pffft - lol @ people deserting their country and supporting foreigners!

That's like living in Newcastle and supporting Man United. Unethical, wrong and dirty glory hunters with no sense of local pride. Looked down upon by the reset of society as people with no soul or purpose. All front, show and pretensiousness. The lowest of the low. Not even worthy of consideration as real people.

Apart from that they are fine. :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

QFT..however nothing wrong with anyone else supporting Newcastle.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Make damage break Crowd Control abilities (mezz, hold, sleep etc). Being able to just CC someone/something constantly while also doing damage to them makes you literally invincible.

This is overpowered and no longer relevant to the games of today.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think maybe you could of elaborated on how or why you came up with this idea. Was it in doing something specific?
  23. [ QUOTE ]
Done it all, and in some cases more than once.
And all includes Hamidon on the red side, though we didn't take it down.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lol in that case, yeah done it all.

It ain't done till its beaten.

Possibly one villain arc out of all of them, the new hamidon and one orobouros tf and thats it i think...oh and some badges that might happen eventually..I won't look to make them happen.
