  1. Well I can promise you that there is nothing that can be done by the scrappers in the scrapper section that can't be done by people in the stalker section or all by yourself for that matter. Asking someone is basically asking someone to of worked things out for you.

A straight attack chain has to come from your build, you can use the DPA order of priority given to you by Siolfir and compare it to what the Combos would give you. You are better off from having various chains depending on the situation.
  2. Lets say I said that because of my own experiences Elec can't tank. From that you can guarantee half the players reading it, can see that I still haven't learned to play and to top it off I am insulting someone else by limiting them with my lack of intelligence.

In game this is how myths are made, someone says with no authority at all that something needs this or that, or a perfectly doable TF with team that has all the assets within them if they worked together properly is impossible.

    My elec will tank.
  3. I haven't been bothered to look into the stalker DB attack chain for anything because my first instinct from looking at the combos was take every attack. I hate doing the maths when my instincts tell me stuff like that.

You can be soft capped to all with SR without Elude as long as you are okay on living without it. Quickness is another one but I find those powers that take a simple slot useful. You can have that at a level when you want slots for everything else and to act like a recharge in every power until you can get to slot them for recharge.

I have a DB/SR Stalker but am discouraged from posting my build as she is personalized but would be very fast at helping someone with theirs, it could have slotting similar to mine but atleast it will have someone elses personal touch remaining which I think is much better as we all play differently anyway.

To help start someone I suggest:

5 Serendipities enh in the toggles
4 Attacks with Touch of Death set.
    2 Attacks with Eradication set.
1 Mako set in Assassins Blade.
    Passives what needs be.

Rest is down to what power choices people make.
  4. I was min/maxxing Elec/Elec this morning, I ended up losing Power Surge. This will not be the result for everyone. It is simply a case of me, hedging my bets for now, that I would prefer everything else, more often. Initially it was about +rechg for damage and end drain over time followed by keeping the endurance down but found in going for +HP then frankenslotting I had even more recharge!

In giving yourself Elec/Mace to play with you have given yourself something to really think about, play and learn from (think of it as capable because I said it is ) and rise to mastering it. I love the Thor concept, he doesn't fly or superjump does he? He throws his hammer and holds on to it XD. I would go with fly. Yes you have grounded but still, fly. I swapped out Havoc on the /Elec for air sup and then decided to fly myself.
  5. Your basically not relying on the taunt aura alone with Ice and Fire as CE debuffs and if you have icicles does damage and Blazing Aura does damage. They contribute to threat. You should rely on those auras alone.

Taunt adds flexibility, that is essentially what it does. The game favours tankers with taunt for what I can't believe is anything other than the most obvious reasons but one massive reason seems to of flown right over some peoples heads and all the way to 0z. You are theoretically well on your way to tanking any part of the normal PvE content for most any team with that power. I like to have it early at level 10 just because, some people wait until mid 20s and some 40s. Mid 20s is a good middle of the road area as earlier or later you may have powers you prefer first or need to slot well.

IMO, it's like building a Stone tank and not taking Granite--sure, you could do it, but why would you want to?
I completely understand how great those powers are to a DA but in my case my concept would be why I wouldn't want to. Imposing fear and oppression would be what my Brute is "Oh so about" where as my Tank is not like that. It's a bit like taking empathy and porting it to villains and keeping it empathy for me, as a villain I wouldn't want empathy.

It looks like you sacrificed fighting pool as an option to me, which is okay, my friends Fire/Ice was fine and did the STF etc.

When it comes to Toxic res healing flames can self stack and so you can end up with 20% + 20% + 20% and if hastened another 20% and so it's reasonably covered, but you could of slotted healing flames for recharge instead of heal for better healage over time. Bonuses to heal won't work on powers like Healing flames due to the res component.

I see alot of bonuses but not many amounting to any particular niche. It's an idea to have specific goals or needs, covered. So I chose some that stood out from it which was +Dam, +rechg, +acc and +hitpoints and did a variance on your build. Your DPS should be better with this I think.

I heard it is easy for them to do and I do believe that there is a reason to do it. A popular decision for everyone or not I don't know but reasonable for me would be:

    1) An all round fun PvE build high level.
    2) A PvP build/AV soloer or something like that.
    3) An all round fun PvE build low level.
    4) A special feat geared build, ie a peacebringer with leaderships.

I just want to remark on the build with Leaderships. I've been looking into an All Kheld STF possibility and came to the conclusion that Leadership is probably worth more than it's weight in Gold so I would remove Provoke for Vengeance for sure. You'd have to do the whole STF in human form but with someone elses Dwarf taking on the Mezzers it'll be great.

  11. Holy thread necromancy. Do whatever anyone else does and post a build for people to look at.
  12. A swing line could come from the netherworld or be some form of unexplainable magic like when Zatanna puts her hand into her hat which then becomes a big hand from the ceiling and picks a man out of the audience. A portal with a hanging rope is available to you every so often. You could have a whip that lashes out grabs a bird or at night a bat from around the ankles.. It would be copycat to do swinging it really unless in an expansion a zone full of vines or something was available to everyone as it fits with the zone.

But I think that Tunneling is the one that fits.Tunneling would be the easy one to do first. There are a lot of earth controllers or dominators and stone tanks or brutes that would so much cooler with it, they could move faster underground. As you can be so far down so as to not tear up the road it could be a stealth power that nothing can detect. You don't have to tear up the road where ever you go, just at the bit where you come out.

I don't care too much about them powers tbh and it would be better if CoX did something different or new. I've always wanted motorbikes myself, to ride up buildings and across buildings would be a bonus. A customizable Jet or a Chopper would be cool too, stuff like that.
  13. Cassieopeia, PB, over 4 years, lvl 50, a mere 329 hours total played at roughly 45min session averages.

Ulyssa, WS, technically exactly the same

    Priorities

My priorities go Defense, Resist, Heal per Sec (with DP + Accolades you can cap HP) then Damage, Endurance, then Regen because we are talking about an Invuln. In short I think you can make a better build still including build up.
  16. I did exactly the same for soloing. You ever noticed that as a team defender you get invited to a team, help everyone else do their missions and then everyone splits leaving you to solo your old one? You may log and have a string of old missions to do that when you log in again and invited to a team just gets passed over. That was pretty much it with the empath.

Actually a Firetank with Taunt + Fireball, they can be used for 2 completely different things.
  18. I don't really know what Offenders are, Defenders can have an attack chain and use their attacks, an offender would be someone completely lost in them.

Often once people have exemped for a TF they have something to gripe about. Some loss of a power means they can't be as good as everybody should know they are . The change will make things easier for them whilst it'll be more rampant fun for everyone else. The level of mobs are set to challenge people of lesser ability so in terms of challenging it becomes less, and if you liked challenging then that becomes a reason. I was falling asleep in the team I was in this morning.
  20. I think Caltrops would change to a taunt aura with a tohit debuff or something.

  22. It's nice to see someone else's tank that recognizes defender goodness. I keep hearing how controllers are better than defenders but some controllers in how they play knock that idea round out the back door and across the garden. Why? Because they have an "It's all about me" attitude which you don't have and that is partly imo probably what makes you great.

I think you can free up slots for more fire/cold defense. I realize that S/L really counts but I am intrigued into how Going Rogue make the game look like cake. Pure damage types could do that.

I haven't got taunt slots in the attacks of any of my tanks, I basically have found little need. If something is in melee I use the more powerful attacks often to create a huge area of gauntlet, gauntlet is AoE and taunt what is ever outside of it or not on me. I'd put the powers in a more viable order if I were you otherwise when it comes to it you may find getting the slots in powers near the late levels is an issue.
