  1. Scranking simply doesn't amount to tanking. Sure there will be people who say Tankers are over rated, but they're not the most knowledgeable of people. I guarantee it.

Additionally, we also looked at the number of EU players that logged in for the 2009 Halloween Event Test on the EU Training Room, and based upon the level of participation then, it was decided to focus this on the North American Training Room.

Both of the items above were the determining factors.
Well you had royally ticked off europeans when it comes to testing and to add, some of the feedback goes nowhere as so much still makes it to live. This is from what I can gather.

If I had a say I would suggest that you do a GR european test and announce that it's on, on the live server to get people onto it.
  3. I almost fell down on the loyalty bit due to RL pre-occupations (nothing todo with other games). It's easy given the crunch. I think a weeks grace would be nice for those that did.
  4. Well I never saw fitness pool as an option just to say that your character is fit.
  5. If you couldn't find a use for Stalkers at level one let me know.

To each their own but that one i'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around on.
Well surprisingly warshades can live without stamina and peacebringers can at a push. It all depends on your slotting. In teams, and I really dislike soloing them as well, their endurance bars go up and down without me necessarily needing rest (without endurance buffs). With buffs life is better. They both self res and so typically, for me they could die and res just to have some endurance if I really wanted. Form switching does do them good.
  7. That TF should be doable with that team make up and everyone on SOs. If it's not then there is a problem, but I think perhaps the team dynamics weren't that solid in terms of aiding eachothers survivability. It can happen, there can be times when there really is nothing better that you can do with your build and the best play isn't there. How well do you know dark defenders? If you know them well then you should spot things that you may of done but didn't see get done. Could it be that you or someone else just isn't giving the dark defender much to work with? Was survivability compromised for speed?
  8. Yeah I did, I guess my idea of just slapping SOs in it is different to yours. I could of sworn that you were green boxed at the time of my post. I didn't down rep you, I think that someone maybe trying to make it look like I did however.

    I just uprepped you.
  9. As an SO build I wouldn't need to Acc up so much due to Invincibility and Rage and so could be more damaging. I doubt I'd need to have tohits in Invincible. I don't think this section should be about who is doing something wrong and who is doing something right. Suggestions are there to be taken or left. I think it best if David Freedom told everyone of his intentions first.

Individuality would be making a green costume, not skipping a very very useful power.
I'll hold my hands up to skipping fitness pool and hasten on both my 4 yr old Khelds. They've never had them. Hasten may give people a best ST or AoE chain in some form or another and fitness may provide the endurance to keep up with that output but the concepts lay around being jack of all trade Khelds.

Yeah if you didn't have to convince the pets that they need to stay all the time the time taken would be less. I'd lose a tier 2, 2-3 times during the whole thing.
  12. My pets ignore me. I tell them to stay and 10 secs later one of them has moved. I am only a few feet away and not going anywhere myself.

It's like being on a iffy pug where someone who has been informed that they should stay back somewhere takes it upon themselves to move in and gets killed. Then after being resurrected, so to speak, they repeat their mistakes.

Feeling like you can't get away from a bad pug when solo is so annoying.
  13. When you IO the Claws/SR right, then it's worth every moment you've spent on it.
  14. If you intend to get the FPR,PJ,TFC and the AM accolades then you can afford to change your build for less +HP. Clobber is a decent damage attack + secondary effect so much so its OP.

Mace tanks tend to keep aggro well without the aura, you can keep aggro well on gauntlet and taunt alone and I say that not for you to lose RTTC but from my experience I just dont get taunt slotting of RTTC at all.

In your case with the +Per from HS I just don't get Foc Acc. If your not going to have stamina and additional defense then I would consider conserve energy.

Soft capping def ends more problems than just getting hit.
  15. I'll say this early also Joe that, if your guide is useful in giving people a simple basic idea to get going and competently keep going with still a lot of unanswered stuff then it is a good guide.

A bad guide would be so damn good that a person wouldn't need to play one or work anything out for themselves. I have with another game seen such a guide that made me think well I don't need to play it now. For me A to B stuff is cool but the B to C stuff should be left open for people to discover for themselves.

    - Praetorian AVs
    - Mission Architect?

    and so forth....
I could tank all of that with all of them. 100% confidence. I will admit that you could point out preferences and I hope that is what your suggesting.

For shame on the lack of initial taunt control TRT I'd of assumed that was well covered straight up.

I have little experience of presence pool taunts as I think they're poo on account of not being autohit, having such limited range and duration. I would say that they should ideally have a 10:1 ratio in duration to recharge.
  19. Joe,

I would if I were you decide on how your going to format the guide, then slowly develop it with the rest of the tanking community within this tanking section before putting it within the guide section. Place it in the guide section once your thoughts and other peoples thoughts are combined. You could be then the main contributor who had an open mind to what other people can also offer. By the time it goes into the guide section it could then be inarguable.

You're not alone on numerous tanks.
  20. I think its AI or it could be AI. I like it. Watching a GM run when you are trying to solo it may well be a pita and conceptually a ?. A GM should look at TRTs Mortar and laugh at its weak debuffs as one person attacks it. In teams it's unlikely to happen as someones presence would keep the GM there. I'll find one and test it.
  21. I could agree with GMs, they don't have to behave like puny NPCs, especially if they have no buddies anyway.

I'd have bloody fingers going through 6 AVs and my dog would want me to let him out for a doo doo in the back garden during that time. I think you've hit something on the head that I think about when you mention Tyrant being an easy AV. To me, it's quality and not quantity that matters most.

    Beber!!!!

I have been speaking English on the French servers for two years now and no one has had a problem with it. I did have someone accuse me of pretending to be English as my English sucked but you know we deliberately don't spell properly.
  24. I think its a bit sensible that the NPCs move from it. It's an aoe debuff. It's like the NPC says "I am a target of a debuff AoE, so I best stay away and/or clear of my friends".
  25. -10000.00% taunt on self Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable -200.00% threat level on self Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable

I got this detail from Acid Mortar. I am testing right now for a no run effect.
