look for 'good' recipes with multiple bids and 0 for sale- these are always seriously undervalued.
Put in some bids a bit over the 'last 5'.
Go play the game & check back in a few days.
Re-list your wins for much, much more than you paid.
Or if you like crafting, craft the recipe (using tickets to keep salvage costs down) and list the IO. Crafted IOs tend to sell slower than recipes but can bring in much higher prices. -

So the devs should pour energy into a system 99% of their players will skip?
[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, but isn't that what these devs specialize in?
[/ QUOTE ]
the current batch are immesurably better than the ones we used to be stuck with.
[ QUOTE ]
For reference please see: Arenas, Boomtown, Dark Astoria, Ouroborus, Level 10 IOs, PvP Zones, and all four Shadow Shard Zones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lots and lots of people use Oroboros, I'm not sure where you got that one.
The rest date to the relative prehistory of the game. The trend lately is stuff players have been clamoring for that they actually use.
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah! Our current devs are way more smarter than the ones that spent all of that time and energy completely changing the way PvP works thus preventing them from having enough time to do any improvements in bases whatsoever, way way back in Issue 13.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're whining that they chose to try and repair one poorly implemented legacy system instead of another one?
Try making sense next time. -
[ QUOTE ]
"Worthwhile" is purely subjective. I've found your arguments to not be "worthwhile". There's a ton of content in the game that you can partake in solo, just because you want to do something doesn't make it a good reason to be implemented.
[/ QUOTE ]
and vice versa.
Bill makes a much better case for opening up TFs than others do for keeping them gated. -
the new guys are smarter than the old ones.

I like PO as much as I like any of the monochromatic villain zones.
It does stink when you get the short straw and have to hike all the way over to Drea for your contact. Like the giant wall in Mercy, who's idea was it to have one starting contact right next to everything important, and one out in the middle of nowhere?
They should add a sound file of Nelson laughing every time you click on Drea- HA ha - just to rub it in even more.
But other than that, it's okay. -
[ QUOTE ]
So yeah, I'd say if you don't participate in testing, you have no right to complain when there are bugs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Huh...I must have missed the part in the EULA where players are made responsible for testing content.
It's amazing how eager people are to blame players for developer failures. -
[ QUOTE ]
That unless they figure out a way to make rewards on regular mishes not suffer horrifically if they nerf farming again, that the only people using the AE will be the nutcases who advocate AE being absolutely free of any rewards at all?
[/ QUOTE ]
Balancing out rewards between MA and the real world isn't as difficult as you seem to think.
There is plenty of middle ground to find between OMG FARMTOPIA and /E RP UNIVERSE. -
Ok, that seems much more reasonable than the original change.

[ QUOTE ]
The idea is pretty cool in theory, and I appreciate that they wanted to create an appropriate mood. But the reality of navigating a zone with near zero visibility is just plain obnoxious.
[/ QUOTE ]
follow the roads.
or if you fly/teleport, go straight up to the ceiling box and then bee line it to your destination. -
[ QUOTE ]
Devs have said that a new skeleton for NPCs and PCs is really hard to make and if they make it, I hope they will release if for everyone, but that doesn't seem like the devs nowadays.
[/ QUOTE ]
yeah, it really stinks that they're charging us for power customization.
oh wait. -
so if you were two-boxing you could alternate kills and still get drops?

I thought NCSoft bought - not leased - the game engine when they bought CoX in its entirety, and keeping the Cryptic logo around was just part of the deal.
[/ QUOTE ]
correct.

Evidence?

devs said so. -

It just frustrates me to see a game I really enjoyed wandering around in the woods lost.

I am not talking about the genre, or other MMOs. I am talking about this game and its the pitiful amount of attention the end game has. You have a choice of ITF, LGTF, STF, LRTF and the KTF plus 2 zone raids. All your other options are going back to do contect you could have done before you capped and maxed out your toon.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, you could, I dunno, mess around with IOs and purples and continue evolving your characters after they hit 50?
Anyway, if end game raiding is your thing you're up the wrong tree with CoH. That's never been the focus of the game and it isn't likely that it ever will be.
[ QUOTE ]
There is a reason this game never really grows.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at this.
Maybe I'll flip a coin. -
[ QUOTE ]
If you're splitting hairs, it's "Don't do it, even before we decide it's illegal."

it's funny because it's true. -
[ QUOTE ]
Its only worth more than real on a farm.
[/ QUOTE ]
Even if accurate, I'm not seeing how that's relevant. -
what would I like to see?
more cool stuff. -

The simple solution is to add purple rolls in rewards for tickets/merits.
[/ QUOTE ]
they're gonna nerf AE rewards, not bump them up.
[/ QUOTE ]
at which point nobody's gonna use it...but eh.
[/ QUOTE ]
As long as they maintain a rough equilibrium between the rewards available in 'real' and MA content people will play it.
Right now MA is rewarding much better than 'real'- they could put quite a hurt on its payoff without tipping the scales the other way. -
[ QUOTE ]
here's a way. Deathtraps.
Introduce a villain group with a penchant for elaborate puzzles... such as giant pinball machines where you are trapped in the ball, elaborate mazes with lots of pop up turrets and nasty little traps, living chess peices where you have to make the right moves or the captured NPC gets a trip to the hospital...
Make the death trap oponents completely optional, and normal xp for spawns. Treat them like minigames.
[/ QUOTE ]
So the devs should pour energy into a system 99% of their players will skip?
Huh. -

It's not a supply/demand economy....
[/ QUOTE ]
wrong. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yes, you can make money on the market. But you can't deny that the AE phenomenon has inflated the market pretty dramatically.
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly the opposite.
More "good stuff" is cheaper right now than at any point in the history of the game.
[ QUOTE ]
Example: Somebody on one of my global channels reported last night that the market activity showed a Boresight common salvage sold for 80 million influence. Rich farmers are pricing regular people out of the market.
[/ QUOTE ]
And yet I sold one last night for 100 inf.
So?
When you see an insane price for a nondescript item it is one of three things- somebody made a tragic data entry mistake, someone's transfering influence (check out the prices of low level training enhancements sometime if you REALLY want your mind blown), or some eeebil marketeer is having a little fun.
You can get any salvage in the game now for a handful of AE tickets. Salvage is MORE available than ever, is in fact often more available at MA than it is on the market.
Here's what MA has done to the market:
1: inflated the prices paid for anything you can't buy with tickets.
2: cratered the price of rare salvage & most of the 'good' set IOs
3: increased the price in inf of common and uncommon salvage since they aren't an efficient use of tickets. But since anyone who wants can pick them up any time for a handful of tickets, those prices are pure convenience tax. Anyone who doesn't like them can just hit the ticket vendor. -

I expect Going Rogue will have a metric ton of story, arcs and systems as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
While I don't expect it will be on the level of CoV, I agree with this statement.
[/ QUOTE ]
Given that the GR devs will have access to the tools created for MA, I won't be surprised if it IS on par with CoV for mission content.
It must be vastly less labor intensive than messing around with spreadsheets.
