Quote:Well my character last night was a fully IO'd MM, but all the clones summoned THEIR bots.....eight clones worth of MM bots all blasting with their lasers....Has anyone confirmed that this is a direct copy of your character with enhancements or does the server look at your powersets and costumes and create a character that looks like you, but is just as powerful as you making a clone in the MA system? Meaning a fully IOd character would make short work of these clones.

Quote:Same here. Rather......"unique" responses and similar sentiments received. You know all the comments Nericus has been posting above? I've gotten worse in game for asking, and I really can't say that I blame anyone for the response.
Also while my comments have a certain sarcastic/humorous twist to them, I'm sure the message is clear: PLEASE no new Mo badges. -
Quote:No, I can't see them being "mean" and stating no Insps to block out EoE usage on the Hami mission. They would be mean enough just by adding the badge in the first place. We planned to do it on test, but never got enough people interested and together at the same time. We figured we'll just try it once it went live.
I do plan to try it soon and I'll post about it... but for all we know the requirements could be different than the others. Because of the usage of EoE on Hami, they could have been mean and made "no inspirations" reuired... but it's still speculation at this point. We wont know until we try.
Seriously though, if the other Mo badges are no death/no temp powers then I can't see them breaking the traditional requirements for a hypothetical MoLGTF badge.
I would rather face an army of Kronos Titans that are supported by 5 manifestations of the Hamidon and augmented by the power of Rularuu then seek a new Mo badge. -
Quote:All they build is team conflict and badge elitism. Strip them from the game and be done with them.I don't see them as building community at all. I have been on nothing but failed MoSTF attempts, and I can tell you that I've never felt good about the effort at the end.
I would rather take on an army of the Kronos Titans that are reinforced with a fleet of Arachnos Flyers with my weakest toon, stripped of all IO's and under total debuff then seek a new Mo badge. -
Quote:I'm right there with you on this Snow. I'm all for the Mo badges being removed from the game and stripped from all that have them. From another post of mine:
I was told by a mutual friend that one of my friends was so harassed on a public channel recently that they shut the game down and hid for a few days because of yet another failed Master of Statesman TF. Is this the behaviour that the developers want to promote?
These badges DO NOT promote community building. Fundamentally, if a badge breaks community in a Massively Multiplayer Game, then it is acting against the developers, not for them. The developers, in order to make money need to do everything they can to build communities in the game. -
I would rather get my Black and Decker power drill and give myself a root canal then seek this Master badge.

Quote:Expect them to be tankerminds. Also, expect the -1 setting to not help much.not looking forward to this on my bot/dark mm tbh, especially if all 8 are also tankerminds @_@
Egads......I just had a sick thought......8 clones of my mind/energy Super Permadom 3.......oh man I need to think of a plan for that fight....
Hmmmmm and I think I just thought of one......will have to test this later. Devilishly clever if it works.

Quote:Oh so well put!Somehow I doubt it exists. My impression is that it is the same thing as the April Fools badge. We need another Mo badge as much as we need to join servers with Champions Online.
I would rather be chained into a chair with my eyes held open with superglue and forced to watch Highlander 2, Highlander 5:the Source and Star Trek 5 in a non-stop loop for a week then seek a new Master badge. -
I would rather fight an army of Kronos Titans with my squishiest character stipped of all IO's and debuffed then see a new Master badge added.
-
Now that was a fight! Eight clones of my main villain badge hunter all summoning their bots and mowing me down with laser fire

Things to have for this:
1. Purples: OH lots and lots of purples!
2. Demonic Aura ready!
3. Slot up and prepare all temp powers including day job accolades that you may have charged up.
4. Shivans? eh, didn't have any but I suspect they may have helped.
But the one temp power to have that will significantly tilt the odds BACK into your favor and help mow down the clones? Vanguard Heavy. Get one if you can before doing this mission. -
Posi has many badges that aren't available to others. Just because he has this badge doesn't mean its coming soon (or ever). Preferably never.
-
Minor FYI: it looks like Herostats 5.0.0.0 is not able to validate any of the new badges or badges taht existed prior to ish 17. Anyone else experiencing this?

Quote:Well said! It's been said by both BAB and Castle publicly, so, there's a very, very high probability that all the Devs are on board with this:
No matter how long a mistake, bug, exploit, overpowered or underpowered 'thing' has been in the game; if they have the opportunity to 'fix' it, they will, regardless of how many gamers have become attached to it.
Period. -
From the issue 17 release notes:
CITY OF VILLAINS
Traps/Caltrops - this power no longer accepts Melee AoE Enhancement sets. -
Quote:Show me a bug-free major update/release for this or any other MMORPG and I will show you a major update/release that hasn't occurred.Gah..idk if they should of released this just yet. I can understand a few bugs on release day but this is to much.
Something always doesn't work right or as intended/designed at first and it can't be fixed before release dates/deadlines. Such is the way of the beast. -

Quote:Yeah but at least now farming/fighting for it gives hope however faint of PvP recipies to sell for a small fortune. My main blue toon grinded that badge recently and after it was done it had 5 pvp recipies to sell.Yeah. Requiring Disruptor is the most annoying part of the arena farm.
5 hours in Warburg badge: check
10 launches of Warburg Rocket: check
Farmed PvP badge at same time: check
Obtained 5 PvP recipes: check
Satisfaction of obtaining nice amount of inf on the market from selling them: Priceless. -
Quote:Well at least they confirm that the Epics can go Incarnate. Still would like more details about the Incarnate system and just how much of a boost it is to go incarnate.Sheesh, MG, how many questions did you ask? Did they tell you to stick it eventually?

Are you happy about this little interaction?
"Aside from the 1-20 content, morality arcs, and the first level of the Incarnate system, is there any other unannounced content in Going Rogue? by mentalgiant
War Witch: Yep!"
That'll teach you to listen to silly girls that use emoticons too much!

[Ghost Falcon] Yes." -
Quote:I share your pain, Snow. I have reported many a bug from the relatively harmless to mildly annoying, to the game breaking. Many fixed, one or two still linger, but I've written this badge off. If it comes to me in the future that's dandy, but I'm not holding my breath.Ok, a bit of bitterness here: I've spent since December 2008 to get a specific exploit shut down. I've not told any other player how to do it, I've /bugged it several times, PM'd it directly to a community rep (and answered the relayed QA Team's questions), PM'd the entire proceeding conversations to Positron (at his request) over a year ago, and during this beta I told Ocho about it. The bug still exists and it I can still repeat the process to activate the bug in question (yes, detailed instructions given back in 2008 still work), but the exploit has been shut down with a recent test change.
In addition, I've helped compile (and find/report a few more) badge bugs list for the developers to fix. I have not gotten the Bug Hunter badge on a single character.
So congratulations on the Bug Hunter badge, but after all the disappointment in trying to get the badge, I have to ask myself if it is worth the bother to ever report another bug again.
However, Kudos to the Op! -
Indeed, I think the 5 year calculation was a bit...off. Only if the damage and heal badges were farmed and the player grinded the money badges could they have made it within 5 years.

Yeah, AFK'ing isn't fun and games for me either. But once the badge is done, its out of my hair. Aside from a few stray badges, my main blue mainly needs to work the invention sets.
