Quote:The slopes are fine. My main badgers have all the ski badges and gained them with ease.Man, you people hate challenging, hard-to-get badges, don't you?
"I can't find 7 other decent players. I can't do the slopes, Day jobs take too long to get!" Call a Whaambulance. You'd probably complain about exploration badges if someone hadn't made you a MAP for them. Sheesh. What ever happened to -earning- your rewards?
Granted, at the current moment with the mitos, this badge is going to be really hard to grab, but once that's settled, it should be easy. Or at least not mind-numbingly impossible.
Day jobs: eh 21 days is a bit much but that is a dead horse.
Map badges: meh I found the bulk of the new ones in beta same as many others.
New Mo badge: yuck.
I would rather face an army of Kronos Titans with my squishiest character stripped of all enhancers and under full debuff then seek a new Mo badge. -
Quote:This. It is more due to the negative feelings generated by a person dieing a few missions in. Most people are decent, but there are a few that get rather mean when a Mo fails.
Some jokes are fine, some minor wise cracks are fine....but it when it turns into bashing the other player especially if it was out of their control, ie: standing away from a cyst in mish 2 of the ITF so as not to be caught in the explosion only to have the ambush SPAWN ON TOP OF YOU.......well one can't really blame that person for dying.....but some primadonnas still have tried. -

Quote:Oh I didn't say you were out to prove anything, simply that your end results prove it is doable.Well, I wasn't trying to prove anything, I wasn't even sure the badge was even active, but since all the talk I decided to give it a try. The entire TF took us just under 2 hours, I think the screenshot I posted has the exact time.
It can be done much faster, but we were just taking our time and playing safe. Hami isn't hard providing you have holds on your team, the greens dropped pretty easily. But again, you will need to make sure you have holds. My team had more than enough hold to do what we had to do.
And for the record, I used 3 EoE's 2 for the mitos and 1 for hami.
Also did missions 1 or 3 end up as "failures"?
Also I'll clarify from my previous post as I have seen your completion time: how much of that time was put into the Hami mission? Any guesstimate?
Yes, having a lot of holds would be nice, but this currently stipulates that unless the team has a certain "formula" to it (ie: massive Holds), that a flawless victory will be.....problematic.
BTW: here's some positive board rep for you for the win and the information
-
This. Even with EoE's right now I wouldn't want to try this. Beefcake proves that it can currently be done, but I wonder how long it took them in mission 4?

Quote:Yes, but there comes a point when one must start reevaluating things like:..but i am sure you will try for it though (its the completeness complusion that guides us badgers
)
Risk vs. Reward
Is the reward worth the possible multiple attempts needed due to factors including but not limited to:
1. Lag Spikes causing characters to get killed
2. Lag so bad that some or all of the team disconnects, hence the mission resets and you have to start it over. That would kind of STINK if that happened on mission 4 of the LGTF..... or if some of the team remains and they get wiped due to being massively outnumbered. (Picture half the team being lagged out as we pulled the AV's in MoSTF and GW coming...as we retreat the lag hits, half the team is gone and the other half was smeared by GW and Scirocco)
3. Players that do not take the attempt seriously at all. An immature tanker was on an ITF I was on yesterday, yelling at us at to "shut the "bleep" up" and then quit during the final Romulus fight.
4. Players that start off fine then turn into immature irrational babies and start screwing around thus angering the team and prompting the star holder to boot them from the team. A blaster on a MoSTF run started behaving this way, kept wanting to stand where the Arachnos Flyer was searching and thus prompting it to blast them. They were booted just in time.
5. Players that would rather not listen to strategy and charge blindly in. Lost track of all the times this happened.
6. Players that would rather stroke their own ego during the run and point out so called flaws with others on the team rather then pulling their own weight. Lost track of all the times this happened.
7. Players that would rather spend time whining about stupid things like someone's costumes or power customizations? Or blaming them for being in the spot where an ambush suddenly spawns despite the fact that ambush spawn spots tend to be random? Lost track of all the times this happened.
So, frankly at this time, with 21 triple Master winners in my stable, I just don't consider the reward to be worth the headache. Will they all go for quadruple winner status? Not likely.
Will my main red and blue badgers emerge for this? Maybe. But I'm not rushing to form a team, especially with all the mixed reports about the greens. -

Remember the good old days when Blues and Greens could be tp foe/wormholed out of the hami goo and you could fight them with out the other Mitos getting in the way?
Those were sure some fun times. I think I miss them now more then before. -
I've been observing with all my clone battles, that if you can take down the Perfected Clone first, that it seems to help against the rest. Could just be a coincidence I suppose...

Quote:MY bot/FF was able to do it but yes all those bubbles.....ugh. Purples+Demonic aura+an anti knockback IO for all the repulsion bombs/forcebolts.Erm. Ow. I'm going to have to play with my difficulty settings, and load up on inspirations (which I never do!) for this mission.
Eight Bots/FF MM's. The MM's use Dispersion Bubble. The Protector Bots use Dispersion Bubble. That's 24 Dispersion Bubbles.
I could barely hit anything. They had no such problem against myself
Not a solo mission (for this badge, anyway) -
Quote:I hear that. I've been using the new and improved email system to consolidate funds, and transfer certain recipes and salvage items to toons that are being IO'd.I wouldn't say rich, but if the payoff is good enough I'm willing to work for it. I've already IOed out two toons, just don't have a whole lot of inf floating around right now.
If only we could attach multiple of the same item to an email.... -
Quote:Try being a solo bot/ff MM against 8 fully operational clones. The bulk of them had their dispersion bubbles up, all bots armed and were pelting me with Force Bolt and Repulsion bombs. Fun fight.Well.. Managed with three friends... Just too be sure. Dont think I would have done alone. I will try though.
The clones are playing like noobs. And are also respecced that way. The engine will grab powers from youre sets.. but not the same ones. The AI is also not as tricky and the clones will not work as a team.
No tanker minds as the clones don't have pool powers. IThe AE npc's can have fly... but although I have fly... I didnt saw my clones fly. Let alone hover. Or leadership. If they had leadership x8 even our team of 4 would have died miserably.
I would like to see the devs add this to something called a perfect clone though. -
Wow.....1 fire/kin corr vs 8 fully armed and operational clones.......wow.....now that was a fight!
Too bad my rad/rad though can't seem to make it through, the 8 clones rad attacks are carving through defense like a hot knife through butter. -
A more recent check under the saucer showed nothing unusual.

Bangs auction gavel...... SOLD to the anonymous market shopper with the generous bank account!
As for the two offers in this thread........nice try. -

Quote:Presuming the capped zone doesn't implode and crash everyone out of it for about 5 minutesThere's a ton of Easter eggs in the Vanguard base.
Also, an idea re: WarWitch's comment: has a ship raid ever successfully placed bombs in EVERY SINGLE grate, and not just the ones running south to north on the way from the last tower to the ship's center? I'm going to see if a capped zone can get enough (patient, cooperative) people to bomb out every single grate...
Seriously though its not a bad idea, just don't see it happening with a capped zone. If some teams can clear the area around the grates for a solo player to hop into it and set the bomb then another solo player for another grate and so on. -
Hm, an interesting theory; but where would one begin to search once the shields drop? I would think that if there was an area tied to the shield drop that it would be in the ship area.
