Oh, the most touching 'reveal' he did was with a blind artist who had helped him on a case. As she lies dying after being involved in an accident, he removes the helmet so she can feel what he looks like before she dies.
Yeah I remember that issue, all the reader/viewer sees of course is her hands covering his face so all we see is his chin as usual. I think she commented on the scars that she felt too

As to that clip, oh man that was nice and violent. It looks to be early in the movie since Anderson is looking a bit horrified at the carnage as Dredd blasted everyone, plus as a telepath she's probably sensing the minds as they fade into death and that likely isn't a pleasant feeling I would guess. In the main trailer when he asks her if she's ready and he says "you look ready" I would guess that is later in the movie and she has realized what it takes to be a Judge.

When a rookie trains with Dredd it truly is the school of hard knocks

Star Wars never done bad out of it and can think of many films that followed suit that was also a success.
Judge Anderson being in this first movie gives me hope the sequel will have Judge Death since she was instrumental in stopping him the first time he appeared.

I would predict the sequel will have Judge Death and if there is a third it will be all of the Dark Judges.

Some tapes got erased, others were lost to either time or fire as I recall. I think they have pretty much canvassed all the TV stations for any old tapes so finding any lost episodes now would be pretty astounding. Unless some of the cast from those days have copies in their estates I don't see any of them being found.

I don't think it will happen though. In the movie-universe Tony by now should be pretty cautious if not out right against sharing both Iron Man tech and arc reactor tech.

In IM 1 he saw his missiles and bombs being used by the enemy against American soldiers, it was one of his OWN bomb designs that put the shrapnel into him thus necessitating having an arc reactor installed in his chest. Then later in the movie Stane gets his hands on the original armor and modifies/weaponizes it into the Iron Monger.

IM 2 showed him again what can happen if armor tech runs amok as well as arc reactor tech being misused. Vanko also figured out how to make a mini-arc reactor like Tony's, Tony's only advantage later on was that he finished his father's work by creating the new element for the reactor.

Avengers: he makes a new reactor to power Stark Tower as part of a clean energy campaign but now he saw how it was misused by Loki along with the tesseract to open the portal to bring in the invasion force, plus he saw SHIELD (against Fury's orders) launch a NUCLEAR WEAPON at the city.

I don't think Tony will be very willing to share his tech anymore.

Still you are correct, a parent should never have to bury their child.

Yeah his face was memorable but he had the skills also something that some "pretty faces" don't have these days.

He was a great choice to play Dominic Santini in Airwolf. He was a good everyman character in that show as well as a good foil for both Archangel and the embittered loner Stringfellow Hawk.

Indeed, as far as reboots go this one looks promising.

The first Robocop is still excellent to watch. There is the Criterion unrated version but the things that made it "unrated" and thus had to be toned down were the scenes of Murphy being blasted to pieces by Boddicker and his goons and the aftermath of Lewis kneeling next to what was left of him, and the scene of Ed-209's malfunction that caused it to blast that junior exec.

The second Robocop seemed a bit over the top and grim even for Robocop but then again the script was heavily changed from what Frank Miller had written.

Robocop 3: again Frank Miller wrote it and again it was heavily changed. Though I did like the idea that if OCP can't make a second cyborg they can at least accessorize the one they have. I also enjoyed it when Directive 4 was deleted and he then proceeds to get some payback for the death of his partner by OCP's hired goons.

Robocop the TV series: well being a TV series means it is going to be more lighthearted then the movies. A good effort with mixed results.

    Robocop the Marvel cartoon: Meh

    Robocop Alpha Commando: interesting.

Robocop Prime Directives miniseries: ignores movies 2 and 3, the TV series and cartoons. Part 1 and 2 were good. Part 3 was showing some signs of strain in the story though I liked that Murphy was fully awakened. Part 4 and the ultimate plan of the villain though was for me a total shark jump.

Robocop has been slated to be rebooted for sometime now. Not entirely sure it needed to be rebooted but with FX tech that we have now compared to back when it was made, it will be at least visually improved.

Also in the original movies, TV series and cartoons the company was Omni Consumer Products, so OmniCorp is a renamed OCP.

Here is the imdb link for the new Robocop movie, schedule for 2013:

To my knowledge the Orange and White Lantern oaths have yet to be revealed. Though it is possible that the Orange oath can be summed up in one word "MINE!" as that seems to be one of Larfleeze's favorite words and he doesn't seem to be creative enough to create his own oath but would rather steal one. The White Lantern Oath could likely be one word "LIVE!" as that was the main word spoken by the white rings that restored certain people to life and was spoken by the ring Deadman wore when it revived things.

However given what is coming soon in the GL books, we may yet again see the white ring in action as part of a plan to stop the insane Guardians.

Oh you mean the same absurdly powerful explosive he shot under the armor plate of the alien war dragon that Hulk stopped with one punch?

If a being with the sheer raw power of the HULK couldn't stop this invasion either on his own or with the Avengers, then I don't think the military would have fared much better.

What would the military have done? Drive tanks through the streets while helicopters and jets fly around strafing and blasting the invasion? I suspect many friendly fire casualties would have resulted at the very least along with aliens being blasted. If Iron Man's lasers and repulsors couldn't pierce the outside armor of the alien dragons, would military missiles have done so? HULK and THOR brought that dragon down by using a hunk of it's own armor to pierce it and then THOR pounds it in like a stake, (upon which HULK then gets payback on THOR ) Fury gave me the impression that neither SHIELD nor the military had the might to repel an invasion hence their desire to get the tesseract back to power up new generation weapons.
  16. The order to use the nuke was illegal.

However given the circumstances of Earth being invaded by an alien army and police and Avengers are on scene and victory does not look likely, then comes the concept of "acceptable losses" or "in order to save the city and earth we have to nuke the city". It was an illegal order, imo. It was also cold-blooded in the extreme, but there is the simple fact that if the Avengers/police/military can't stop the invasion then we would be looking at the human race either being conquered or annihilated.

Nuke a city to stop an alien invasion or face being conquered and/or rendered extinct.

Lousy choice to have to make, isn't it?

    The Done Club

Prime badge hunter #1 all ish 23 badges and now all summer badges completed.
  18. okay all badges completed here is what I remember:

Perfect Grifter: in the first part choose Flirt, Crass and then More Crass for the second part choose the first speaking option (Rocco Scirocco) then go through all dialog options.

Perfect Hitter: smash the 4 generators then train the man in the overcoat to count cards, it didn't work for me when I trained the other 2

    Arena badges:

Kill only the minotaur for the first badge do not kill his 2 partners, you can damaged them just don't kill them

Kill Frank's little dogs and his big dog Killer should emerge, take Killer and Frank down within 10 seconds of each other

When the God-Champion emerges target ONLY him, let his three partners spawn but ignore them until God-Champion gets down to about 30 health, he then stops and collapses, then take down his partners then finish the God-Champ.

Ninja/Rikti monkeys: 75 total kills, this may take a couple of runs.

Dredd's original uniform and helmet appear to be more of the basis for this movie's costumes then what he wears nowadays.

Seriously, a gold chain attached to the badge? Extra sized gold shoulder pads? that sounds more like a Class A formal uniform for special judge ceremonies then what a street judge should wear.

Did you honestly thing Dredd was going to take the main villain in alive? For all that the main villain appears to be responsible for in this movie, I'd say death is the appropriate sentence.

Also, how many trailers over the years reveal potentially major spoilers about movies?

When I saw the first trailer for Phantom Menace and we get the scene of Obi screaming "NNNOOOOOOO!" that told me that he likely just saw his mentor perish in battle much like Luke will see Obi be beaten in Ep 4.

When I saw the trailers for the Matrix sequels they pretty much confirmed what I had figured would happen in them.

Plus look at the trailers and TV spots for Avengers.
