First of all let me say that there are MANY different ways to beat the ITF and my way is in no way the best way, but it seems to work great for me.
I usually try to run it 6 strong to minimize boss spawns but have done it with both 6 and 8 and same results just takes a bit longer.
missions 1-2 are pretty cut and dry.
misson 3 we usually take out the 3 of 5 generals and while the DD's are working on the 4th I fly to the platform for the control panel and TP the team once the 4th general goes down. We take out the control panel then I pull the av's one at a time. I usually pull Rom first and when he's almost done I fly up and pull Requiem.
Now the 4th mission seems to be the big topic here so here's my way ond probably many others too of handling the BIG HOOPLA at the end.
Usually we herd all the Romans off the platform and lay waste to them. Then we pull BOTH EB's off the two sides and commence to wuppin on them. here's the fun part.
the FAR LEFT Nictus is the healing nictus we ALL beat on him ignoring ROM and the other two nictus til it's down, and then we move on to the next nictus and so on until only Romulus is left. then we take him DOWN without prejiduce(sp).
I've done it were we pulled the healing nictus away and it worked that way too but I find that it goes quicker the way i mentioned.
I run it dailey on Infinity and my personal best time is 1:10.
ran it twice Sunday with times being 1:13 and 1:15.
like I said my way or should I say the way I do it isn't the best way but it seems to work fine for me.
I run a lvl 50 Ice/Kin corruptor ( Freakin Rican )
and my bud runs his Stone/Stone Brute.
we usually fill the last 4-6 spots but it's usually him and I putting it together.

Well the thing about taking out the heal Nictus is that if your team doesnt have enough DPS to overcome its heal then its an endless fight. Also there is no payout for taking down a Nictus but there is a payout each time romulus drops.
I'm not saying your method of taking down the nictus one by one isn't a good one, but not every team is going to have the DPS needed. Now all ranged attackers can get out of range of it and still blast but you would still likely need at least one tank/brute at teh nictus keeping it taunted and pummeling it. If the healer only has up to 3 people in range to feed off of to heal itself then it's not too bad.
So far the speediest way my teams have won the ITF is to take down Romulus 4 times then mop up the remaining 300 kills, but again there is no one strategy for this TF. -

My best method of finishing the nicti is dont aggro the AVs, target the healer(if your facing Romi , healer is on left) everyone with a range attack of 80 ft or more take out the healer. Once hes down and stun wears off we all rush romi 3 times. He drops stuff the nicti do not. Its been said before and there are many diff ways to do this, but I use this one and it works well for me.

If it produces a win for the team then its not wrong. Perhaps not as efficient as some of the other methods posted, but it's not wrong. -

The Healing one seems to indeed get a heal for every person it hits. Which Sucks. The AoE one didn't actually do much to my crab but often it would kill the Scrapper on the team.
When I ran it The Essences seemed to Attack the tank until Rom was in Danger, then they would run heal him and then return to standing next to the tank. Makes no sense to me. This tf is hard as heck though. Thats for sure.

Yes quitters don't help.
The Heal nictus uses Twilight Grasp and can send enough tendrils of darkness to hit an 8 man team and it has approx 70 to 80ft range on the tendrils. -

Are you saying that if your tank pulls Romulus to the top of either the left or the right tower the Nicti cannot follow and if you break line of sight between the Nicti and Romi he will not rez? I have tried this TF twice and ech time we could not separate Rom and the Nicti in any significant way. I would like to know. I would also like to know has anyone tried detention field or the sonic equivalent on either the nictus or Romi? I made an alt specifically to use those powers for this fight and want to know if it is worth leveling the toon.

Well Detention Field as I recall doesn't last very long on powerful foes but again it's been sometime since I dropped it on a respec so I can't be sure.
If Romulus is out of line of sight of any Nictus he will not rez, thus leaving you to contend with the Nictus themselves, which is not always a good thing and can be very bad if your team's DPS can't overcome the Heal Nictus' healing rate.
If Rom and the Heal Nictus are pulled too far apart the Heal Nictus automatically returns to him and must be split from him again. -

By placing Hecatomb in a long recharging power (like KO Blow) as opposed to a fast recharge power (like punch) you are reducing the likelihood of the Chance for Damage occurring. Thus not functioning as optimally as possible. Thus being relatively weak. Thus being gimp.

Only 1 res IO in PS and no conductive shield... Your builds are only around 70% res to fire/cold, 65% toxic res and 55% negative res.
Then there's all the other things : CP instead of Power Sink, picking Stamina, Hecatomb set in your longest recharging attack... uuh.
These are fine concept builds, but there's ways to get Power Surge up as often without gimping your build so badly.

Power Sink, like Energy Drain, is an Auto Hit power, Consume and Dark Consuption require to hit checks.

Tried both with these, liked results with Conserve Power since it doesn't need enemies but simply cuts down the amount of stamina you burn, better but mileage varies

A question that I have seen on the boards, and have been asked by others in the game is: "How can I make my Electric Armor Brute into a Perma-Power Surge Electric Armor Brute?"
The Simple Answer: You can't. Due to the recharge cap and the current recharge time on the power you cannot make Power Surge permanent.
However, you can make your Electric Armor brute into a Quasi-Perma.-Power Surge Brute instead. What does that mean? Simple, you can slot up to the point where you have approximately 60 to 75 seconds of downtime after the crash for the power to finish recharging then you can trigger Power Surge again. [/b] (Downtime varies per build)
Now for the obvious follow up response to this: "But I can get killed during the crash if the enemies are still alive!"
Answer: thatÂ’s why the builds were designed to have Phase Shift in them, plus by the time you rebuild your character into this build you should have long since obtained Demonic Accolade.
So what do you need to make this transformation-upgrade to your character? You need to be Level 50, you need to have Demonic and Watchman Accolades to help protect you during the power crash, and you need a lot of in game funds since you are going to need to seriously IO your brute.
Next question: "How do I use this brute?" Answer: Set hasten to Autofire (CNTRL + LCLICK) since you will have perma-hasten with these builds, then activate Charged Armor, Static Armor and then Power Surge and start smashing your enemies. Remember you have only 3 minutes until the power crash so watch for your blinking power icon on your display and learn to time it so that by the time the crash occurs you have already phase shifted and hit your demonic accolade. The Watchman Accolade is for if you are facing psionic using enemies when you power crash. Remember though, it's up to you to learn how to watch for the crash and time the triggering of phase shift/demonic to avoid being killed after the power crash if your enemies are not defeated.
PATRON POWERS: Yes the patron powers are in these builds, and for thematic reasons Scirocco's Patron Powers are the ones in the build however you can take the other patron powers as long as you donÂ’t take the pet summoning power.
Next Question: Where's Conductive Shield and Grounded?
Answer They were pulled since Power Surge offers protection from everything including Knockback but not Psionic attacks, hence Static Shield is retained for Psi protection.
Next Question: Why Conserve Power when Power Surge offers 100% recovery rate?
Answer: Remember you have perma hasten on these builds and you need hasten constantly running to cut down some of the recharge time on the Power Surge power to keep it Quasi-perma. So Conserve Power is retained and Stamina is 4 slotted with Performance Shifter for both the set bonuses and the +Endurance Proc from that set. Conserve Power u can just activate as need and not have to worry.
Next Question: Why are the Stealth Powers in these builds?
Answer: You need some Luck of the Gambler Global Recharge boosters for these and those are Defense IO. Electric Armor is Resistance not Defense

Not only more satisfying but more rewarding. You don't get xp, inf or drops from the nictus as far as I know. And yes, Rom can be debuffed and held. I've heard that some of the powers from the Cold Domination set work on the nictus. I'm just trying to find out if that's true and how effective it is.

Well with issue 12 and powerset proliferation, now comes a new breed of Need for Speed Stoner Brutes: AXE and MACE. The same basic design plan remains but with a few minor changes. Mudpots is retained but scaled down on the Axe Version and Mineral and Crystal Armor were switched out in favor of the Stealth Powers and the Medicine Pool was dropped also. Though if you prefer Crystal and Minerals armor over the Stealth powers then simply switch them out just keep the same IO's installed.

My rad corr was use the last time I tried the Nictus first strategy. As I recall the Nictus were either highly resistant to debuffage if not outright immune. Romulus however is another matter.
Nowadays I just pummel Romulus into the dirt 4 times, much for satisfying. -

A few comments:
(1) With respect to Kheldian forms, while they do have 15% base recovery, remember the forms themselves are toggles, and they consume all that they produce. So without any slots, Nova and Dwarf have a "net" recovery of 0. If 3-slotted, they provide not-quite 15% recovery, net. (I like perf shifter in the forms)
(2) For PBs, Regen, Invuln, Stone Armor, Ice Armor, and any other sets which have a +hp dull pain-type power, if you have enough +rech that you have perma-DP, you can slot numina +r/+r and miracle: +recovery into that power. On my peacebringer, for example, I use:
L40 Miracle: Heal/Rech
L40 Harmonized Healing: Heal/Rech
L50 Numina: Heal/Rech
L50 Doctored Wounds: Heal/Rech
Miracle: +Recovery
Numina: +recovery/+regen
And since I have enough global bonuses to keep my Essence Boost (that's Dull Pain for PBs) up perma, and it happens to last 2 minutes, that means I get the recovery bonuses all the time too, since THOSE last 2 minutes.
This is convenient for me, since I don't use the Fitness pool on my PB, as I find it both unnecessary with all the set bonuses and unique bonuses to recovery, and because Fitness powers don't function in Nova or Dwarf form, limiting their usefulness. (And I don't like using 3 powers for that)

Quite true that Fitness does burn 3 power choices and not everyone wants to. My Tri-former example was simply an example of how a Kheld could get 3 of the procs installed and thus have one running no matter what form they were in.
As to having enough +recharge to keep certain powers perma charged or near perma charged, well thats not something everyone can get right away of course if they can obtain the needed IO's to obtain perma-charge and want to drop Fitness thats good too.
