Okay, this day job thing? Isn't that basically rewarding us for NOT playing the game?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sure, don't play as much as you want as long as you throw in your 15 bucks.

This is going to be awesome...I'm definitley going to be rock the mission designer ASAP!

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's also good for those of us that have a major case of alt-itis. Log all alts in, move them to where you want them to rack up the offline stuff and log them back out.

So uh.....what happen to the coming storm?

    It's still coming

Once the first two Generals are downed, I send my stoner to the hills, circle around and note where the other 2 Generals are at. I then quite literally drop-teleport myself down onto the first of the two Generals and proceed to pummel him into the dirt, then return to the hills and repeat the process for the 4th General

    [/ QUOTE ]

Running around the hills and Teleporting is for the chump Stone Armor toons.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nothing wrong at all with teleporting to the hilltops on my stoner and using the hilltops to bypass the lag-ambushes and pouncing down on the Generals. Tends to speed things up quite a bit.

Mission 3: Lag Mountain (12-15 Minutes)

The most dreaded of all the missions. This mission used to really tie up a lot of time before we started using the Lead and Backup Strategy. Constant spawns and the Lag would bog us down midway up the map. No Fun. On this one, I usually keep the entire team together. Lead may jump to the next General once one is down, but then the entire team quickly joins. If the current mob is not down, let them pull. The game puts limits on how many baddies will follow any given player. I have heard that this was to stop tanks from pulling massive herds. So let’s use this to our advantage. Abandon a mob, and you’ll be surprised how many don’t follow.

Once in the mission, buffs all around – then straight to the bridge. Focus only on the General and his posse’.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok some notes about the 3rd mission aka Lag Mountain.

    The First 4 Generals are:

    1. The Surgeon General: this is what I call the General that is surrounded by Surgeons

    2. The Praetorian General: this is the one that is surrounded by Praetorian Warriors that basically at Lt. versions of the General

    3. The other General: this one has a more standard compliment of guards, mostly minions usually one surgeon but sometimes 2, and a Cyclops and a Minotaur

    4. The Beastmaster General: this is the General that has nothing but Minotaur and Cyclops for Guards.

    5. General #5 is of course Requiem of the 5th Column.

Generals 1 thru 4 spawn randomly as far was where they are positioned, but always: one general at the bridge, another just past the bridge and 2 inside Lag Valley.

important to know: the ONLY GENERAL that needs his guards killed along with the General himself for the kill to count is the BEASTMASTER GENERAL. You must slay all the monsters and the General. All other Generals (including Requiem) are just kill the General only, so they can be sniped-pulled from their guards and taken out.

Another important thing to know: The HILLTOPS are your new best friends for this mission. Why? Simple. Romans can't climb the hills, and you can use them to bypass ambushes and the LAG. Once the first two Generals are downed, I send my stoner to the hills, circle around and note where the other 2 Generals are at. I then quite literally drop-teleport myself down onto the first of the two Generals and proceed to pummel him into the dirt, then return to the hills and repeat the process for the 4th General, afterwhich I teleport down to where the Phalanx are at, assemble the team, and then deal with any Roman ambushes that might have followed us, and then proceed to wreck the Phalanx controls before taking down Requiem and Romulus.

    Guide to Guides

    [ QUOTE ]
Just remember that if you're reporting an AT guide to notify the "Guide to this AT" thread in the appropriate AT Forum also.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks for the reminder, sent that person a PM to edit the list to pull this guide from it. POWER UP! Quasi-Perma Power Surge Electric Brutes!

Please delete it as the new Mark 2 version guide is standing by.
  6. [ QUOTE ]

ok after seeing the thrid post up one more time i now understand it wont turn them all on at once but is there a way to turn them all on at once?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Nope
  7. [ QUOTE ]
The info is great but the Fat Cat City 3rd mish is a escort just to try and help.

    [/ QUOTE ]

the irony of this, is that I tested it 5 times before inserting it into the guide and each time there was no need to escort him. Guess it was bugged/fixed.
  8. [ QUOTE ]

    Don't Worry about it.

    Thanks.....and no, I wasn't worried.

I see this ending in an all WM/EA MoRSF.

    O

    More like WM/EA team wipe
  11. [ QUOTE ]
o.O so Gaussian's Proc is still bugged :/ dang o.O

    [/ QUOTE ]

Apparently the new patch on Test remedies that. We shall see.
  12. There are also those that wish for something so that they can not lose a bunch of good IO's on a respec since you can only save 10 at most. This new feature would allow someone that wants to salvage a lot of IO's for their alts to plan a respec, save some of the IO's and reinstall the rest then purchase another respec and repeat until they save all the IO's they want.

Granted at $10 a respec its not the most ideal solution but at least its something.

    Still, yay to more options!

*sigh* And here come the Rikti again for a whole week at the start of August to interfere with my game again.

    Sick.
    Of.
    Invasions.

I wish it were one weekend rather than one week. A week's way too long.

Oh, well. Makes a good excuse to go play something else instead for that week. Breaks are good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Either take the week off, or else get into a mission or use your Ouroborus portal to warp to the O-Zone and chill there until the attack is done. Presuming you are in the zone that is being attacked in the first place.

Nice guide and just what I was looking for as I plan to start doing these with my brute.

    TY

    [/ QUOTE ]

Glad you like it. My suggestion for Brutes is to run the Arc with No Enhancements and No Pool Powers settings first so that you get the two most painful brute challenges out of the way.

Woah there! Easy does it now

The Iron Man Challenges were something I tossed in to give people the idea of trying some the harder arcs and making them into what could be called the ultimate challenge. There is no special badge for beating an iron man challenge, but of course you do have the bragging rights. No one has to take the Iron Man Challenge at any level if they don't want to.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Has anyone posted any screenshots of theirself completing the Iron Man Challenge?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Nope. But that's ok.

One question about Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance that I haven't seen, sorry if I missed it. Is there a difference between slotting the level 21 and level 50 version of this particular IO? Everything I've seen always says that, when it procs, it gives 10% (or just 10 depending on where I'm reading) without regard to the IO level.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Alpha

    [/ QUOTE ]

No difference in them at all. They all are 20% chance for 10% endurance.
  17. Looking forward to it

Shame that the server caps are needed but I understand.

    Thanks Lighthouse

    Nice announcement.

3 other Villains helms to complete the collection in icon. as for the question of the recycling of prievious Vet powers vs adding new and or the natural being uber with two ranged attacks, Um No.

Being able to select Axe over Sands was always an animation issue both are great powers.

Staff is for Natural Tech and Science to get bonus

Wand is for Magic and Mutant to get bonus

Natural doesn't get to double dip any more than any other AT set who could chose both for ranged, but only one of the items would get the bonus damage for matching your AT.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually if memory is working right:

    Science/Tech/Natural =Nemesis Staff buff

    Mutant/Magic/Natural =Black Wand Buff

So yes Natural can "Double dip"

Edit: here's the text from the Vet Reward Page for the 33 month badge that offers Nem/Blackwand choice:

"The Nemesis staff is a steam-powered staff that shoots bolts of energy that deal damage, and knocks back foes. Characters of Science, Technology, or Natural, origin get a bonus to their damage when using this power. Damage: Moderate. Recharge: Long.

The Blackwand is a black metal wand that feels cold in the hand, and glows with dark arcane energies. It decreases the chance enemies will hit you when they are affected by it’s magics. When used by those of Magic, Natural, or Mutant origin, it increases the potency of its attacks. Damage: Moderate. Recharge: Long."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow thats interesting , however the Vet announcement page is actually wrong and wasn't fixed. screenshot as of today of the ingame text.

    33 month Vet Reward

It would have been cool if you could, as I have too many Natural Style Heroes. sorry guys thems the facts.

    Valor

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah but grasshopper, you forget one crucial thing: this wouldn't be the first time a in-game description of a power or a badge or a recipie has been erroneous.

To me it makes sense that Natural is the neutral origin and thus if it augments the nem staff then it should also augment the blackwand as well.

And given that VEATS are natural origin whether the player likes that origin or not.....Veats can now gain 2 useful vet powers that will both be augmented

Peacebringers can also double dip and have both but Warshades can only boost the Nem Staff due to their Science origin.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
not bad really, one of my biggest worries is that they are going to stick an amazing reward up in the insanely high badges like these, and its going to be really unfair to anyone who is just buying the game now(i'll get it, of course :P ) so this is actually fair, though at 54 i am going to have one butt kicking level 1 attack chain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

and thats why they are recycling powers instead of making something super awesome that could potentially upset game balance. Fairness.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
Re: the helms alleged "exclusivity". When they were introduced they *told* us they'd eventually be available through some other means. Liquid's been here long enough...he should remember that.

That said, I'm a bit disappointed that they're at 51 months, rather than in with the preorder sprints where they should be, in my opinion. Dunno what I would have put at 51 in their place though....

I also would have preferred one of the many other unique looking temps in game over another one of the 12 or 33 monthers.....maybe something from Croatoa (not the boring looking ones, like the sword or the bow), or a toned down Wedding Ring....Quantuum Array Rifle, anyone?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh I remember the warnings about the helms too. To me its no biggie that they are part of a Vet badge.

I do agree though that having them as part of the Vet badge that gives the sprints wouldn't be a bad thing.

As to Vet Rewards to offer, perhaps a version of the Rocket Pack that one gets from winning the atlas mayhem with unlimited fuel but LONG recharge time?

Perhaps toggle versions of the temp power once receives from Talos/Brick/FF/PI Mayhem/Safeguards?

At last I can dual wield Nemesis Staffs!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Dont think so: here is the description from the vet reward page

"For the 54 month veteran reward, players receive the Allegiant badge and will be able to choose an additional power from either the 12 month reward (Sands of Mu and Ghostslaying Axe) or the 33 month reward (Nemesis Staff and Blackwand) that hasn’t already been chosen."

Only way to know for sure is to send a toon to TEST and then see if u you can get double nemesis staff or not, but I'm guessing you can't.
