Oh, like anyone who's been playing for 5+ years isn't going to know the layout of every single map already :P
Cool stuff. Much appreciated
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes but has everyone memorized every badge and plaque location to the point where they don't need to use vidmaps? -

Not sure if this has been covered, but does "Reveal" reach beyond a certain floor? Like, if I use Reveal on the first floor of an office building, will the other four floors be revealed as well?
[/ QUOTE ]
Even if it doesn't with a short recharge time it won't matter -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm not terribly upset by this. Kheldian power colors are kind of their signature, and while it is indeed easy to get lost in a crowd of nictus, it's not a deal-breaker for me.
Plus, do you REALLY want to see pink novas and dwarves? Well, do ya? Think of the children!
[/ QUOTE ]
Considering some of the atrocious costumes I have seen on some alts, pink novas and dwarves doesn't sound half bad......... of course I can see them while playing the game with a bottle of my good friend Jack Daniels...... -
I'm just getting the dayjobs from a Trophy Badge standpoint. I don't plan to charge up many of the powers once I have them. My stoners will charge up the recharge and run bonus and for an extra but not really needed recharge boost I'll have my permdoms charge up for more recharge. Beyond that.....meh. To me the dayjobs are a great way to log in my alts to ensure they don't get hit with autodemotion in the VG's and to move them to another spot for the next trophy.

I took T_J's advice and got confirmation. It seems like they revamped it a bit too.
It's three waves of ambushes, but for some reason, our Stalker did not get access to the wave killer computer. It's still not too hard. You want hard, the Longbow ambushes in the Cap SF. That's totally ridiculous. These guys are pansies by comparison.
[/ QUOTE ]
?? How did the Stalker NOT get access to the weapons controls? Did their temp power bug out or was the Stalker a maroon? -
[ QUOTE ]
keep in mind that EAT powers are unique to their AT, there are a lot of them, and the color of said powers are pretty bound to in-game story. Kind of puts them dead last on the list for power customization.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah....shame too as one of my PB was going to go gold. -
[ QUOTE ]
I just ran it, it is indeed 30 merits now. Not only that, but with the functioning Temp for MMs Reichsman isn't that hard to beat. I would make sure your team has good protective buffs though to keep the ambushes from being a pain the the backside.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ran it as well.
1. 30 merits = better
2. MM Temp power working =much better!
3. Massive armada of nigh endless ambushes.....NOT Better
I still wonder if the ambushes in that last mish need to be looked at and scaled back a notch. -
I'm betting Khelds make it in the next round and that due to the nature of the AT it couldn't be done for I16 launch.
I'm more excited about the ability to have the Enhanced Difficulty settings more then anything. I look into my armada of characters and see at the very least: 3 happy brutes, 2 happy WS, 1 happy PB, and a VERY happy Mastermind. -
[ QUOTE ]
What I mean is making Eagle Claw a 20'-30' range attack but instead of shooting something out of your legs (like Focus), you actually Fly, Kick and LAND near the target.
What do you guys think?
[/ QUOTE ]
Man you just described Ultraman Leo's LEO KICK attack. Man would I love for Eagle Claw to receive such an upgrade. -
"Enhanced Difficulty Options - Players can now fine-tune their difficulty levels by telling the game exactly how they want to be treated. They can choose to be regarded as a specific size team (even if they are soloing), and even have control over the level they are detected to be when it comes to the dynamic spawn system. So if you ever wanted to see if your Scrapper could take on a map that is populated for an 8 person team, four levels higher than your own, now you can! The difficulty settings of the mission owner dictate how the mission is handled, just as before, and you can change your difficulty settings at any Hero Corp.'s Representative in Paragon City or Fateweaver in the Rogue Isles."
This means no more needing to ask for fillers to pad up a mission, as well as being able to test a character to see how it does in an 8 spawned map.
The Powerset Proliferation: nice changes.
Customization: nice list, but I see no mention of Khelds on that list. Are they able to customize their powers including the color of their alternate modes?
Also if I apply customization to a character, does the customization change with each costume slot, thus enabling one to have different power color choices per costume?
Stone armor is listed....hmm....different color for granite perhaps? Also can an aura now be shown when in Granite? -

I don't get why everyone is against double xp for AE, not everybody uses it to farm.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you think AE Farms are bad now, just imagine the explosion of AE Farms from DXP and the plethora of people taking new alts to 50 via AE DXP farmage -
[ QUOTE ]

I like my PB better because I like the blue/white better than my 'Shade's purple/black.
[/ QUOTE ]
One does wonder if Power Customizaton will enable that to change..... -
[ QUOTE ]
I love the auto fly from the PBs, and i hate the auto tp from WS. (i just hate tping). I enjoy my WS because of the awsome team interaction and speed, i enjoy PBs because they are pretty steady when in solo or teamed.
[/ QUOTE ]
About the only time my WS uses TP is when in dwarf form in battle. My builds have hasten/ss for zone travel as well as combining with WS's stealth power for ghosting. -

SIDE NOTE: Has anyone else noticed an increase in the number of new Khelds running around? I don't know what's up but I'm lovin' it
[/ QUOTE ]
For better or worse I think you can credit that to the AE enabling many to rise to 50 and unlock the Khelds.
Now if said player can learn the dynamics of the Khelds and when is the best situation for a particular form of the Kheld is another matter.... -

I've returned to the game after being away for a year. I remember there was some talk about adding Incarnates. Is that still in the works?
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe it's been back-burnered again and again. From what I could tell about Incarnates, they were a particular Archetype(Tanker, Defender, Mastermind), plus an third powerset from an different archetype. Such a character runs afoul of "Why play the regular Archetypes?"
[/ QUOTE ]
Having to split your power selection between 3 main pools, side pools and possibly a patron/epic pool seems restrictive enough; IMO.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which raises the question of are there enough power slots in game now for an incarnate type? Triformer Khelds barely have enough as it is. -

Accelerate Metabolism?
[/ QUOTE ]
It'd only get once chance to proc every time you clicked the power. Even if it was perma, that'd be one chance to proc every 2 minutes. Pretty much useless, if you ask me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, quite useless. I have looked other powers that take endurance mods and the perf shifter proc in them would be a mistake.
People just need to accept that the proc is for QR/Stamina and Kheld Transform powers.
A possible 4th idea would be for electric armor and invulnerability's Tier 9 power (Gremlin form and Unstoppable respectively) that the proc could be in them since when in those modes your recovery is boosted, but it would only work when the power is clicked, and the instant the power crashes the proc would shut off. Such a power would not be an optimum usage of the proc. -

I'm still not quite understanding the knack of how to win and move up in the Swiss Draw matches. I always won the matches I was fighting against last night but I *never* got pulled into a 2nd round?
How does it work, do you win your round - go back to Arena click on the kiosk thing and get pulled into round 2?
Some help please someone as I have all the other Arena related badges.
[/ QUOTE ]
There have been several methods already posted for ensuring that you win the match. What worked for us though was to select who was going to win the swiss draw and have everyone except that person exit their match as soon as the "fight" signal was given. That person would then wait until the pop up appeared declaring victory and then exit.
At this point all of the people who "won" their matches (by being too slow to click exit plus the predetermined winner) should receive a warning that the next match will start in two minutes in one of the channels (don't remember which one). After said two minutes round 2 will commence. Then the two winners of round 2 will get the same 2 minute warning and proceed to round 3 where the winner will be declared.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have also observed that if you should be one of the winners to advance, that if you are a slow zoner you may miss the 2 minute countdown and be left out. -

Other than that: Fun times! I'll gladly run this again for drogoh's sakes, just name the day!

Agreed! Let me know when we can do Drogoh's run! -

You know with the upcoming Double XP Weekend an all it would Do My Old Timer heart Good to see Them come up an Close the Doors on AE,All you see now are High lvl chars taking over atlas,An Steel. All the content that was Pre AE is going to waste as hardly no one will leave Atlas or steel. , I mean why should they when they can stay in AE all day an go from 1-50.it's the wrose thing the Devs could have ever done to this game, They should put a Big sign up saying going out of Business on that place an get everyone back intot he other content, I mean lord i had 2 lvl 50's ask me yesterday how to make a Enhanment, an the other asked where he could put his wings on his suit, I mean damn wake up an see what that place is doing to the game, it's NOT HELPING AT ALL DEVS
[/ QUOTE ]
DXP has always been advertised as "Get out there and level" by the devs which translates to some players as "Old MacDonald had a farm eeeiiii eeeiiii ooooooo......and on this farm we have DXP......"
I doubt AE will close, but I haven't heard yet if DXP applies only to the normal content or the AE as well. -

Could it be...another badge that redside has easier? I thought they were few and far between.
[/ QUOTE ]
Conversely we have only one Red mission for Outcasts.... -
[ QUOTE ]
I so despise this badge.
What the hell kind of sense does it make to give a badge for an accolade that is pretty much a must-have, where you have to get sadomasochistically abused all night to receive.
[/ QUOTE ]
Be glad you aren't going for the Immortal Badge. -
Keep the one with the most Vet time. For the one that is going to shut down, spend some time and transfer all funds from the alts on it to the ones on your main account, then burn as many respec's as you can to salvage their IO's and put them in storage for the alts on the account you intend to keep.

Yes that was a good run last night. I to think all I had to do was change out from my Dom to a Thermal Corruptor to change our luck. LOL I never play that toon. I always have confidence that we will be successful but last night for some reason I really felt extra good. Everyone did quite well working together. And again, thanks Mr E for bringing it home.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes thanks for leaving the Thermal corr at home
About the only thing that could have made the run better would have been a permamind dom that could sleep the AV's.
Hm, perhaps next time.......... "looks at his SP3....." -
[ QUOTE ]
So true.
Like I said in an earlier topic the other day.
Wednesday night we got a mothership raid going. we actually got 5 whole teams of people and had a tremendously successful, 500 or so merit run, and that was with a new raid leader. She did awesome.
So, affterwards i decide to zone to atlas to see if AE spam at 7:30 PM central is flooding the town.
"Perez team needs more"
"lf one more for sewers"
Yeah. AE sure killed the rest of Infinity server.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree that the AE has not killed the game. It staggered the game with a stunning punch, yes.
However as with many new things that the game has brought in over the years, the novelty will fade some, and people will get tired of sifting through the AE search for the non farms and head back to newspapers, story arcs, TF/SF, Raids, etc.
There will always be farmers, be it AE or otherwise. -
