I'd plow through the new stuff and get the new badges for actively playing then work the new DJ's.

That being said, please no more new DJ's

Right now, it looks like we will only be running one team unless we get some last minute sign-ups.

Also, since I was not able to play since Friday, Neon Widow is still sitting at level 20. Does anyone bringing a higher level character have the mission computer available in his/her base for us to use? I would rather run this at lvl 25 & not lvl 20.
My base has the mish comp.

    • New badges, new missions and new player emotes
    • Epic Archetypes now available at level 20
    • Improvements and additions to Mission Architect
    • Enhancements to UI and game systems
    • And more
    New mission content: Excellent
New Emotes: Eh. Some emotes are fun, some I can take or leave.
New badges: Disappointing. Between the AE badge nightmare and Dayjobs, I'm a bit burnt out on badging. Don't get me wrong though as I did enjoy the reevaluation of certain badge criteria as that was needed.

Epics at L20: this likely due to Praetorians at Level 20 deciding what side of the fence they want to be on. Hope this means getting an alt to 50 now unlocks something really cool, but not expecting it.

Mission Architect: hope the Giant Monsters are added in.

Remember Going Rogue? That's right, how could you forget? Well, you have the opportunity to get access to the Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning power sets in March and April, if you pre purchase City of Heroes Going Rogue (MSRP $29.99 USD)! You will also be able to get your hands on an exclusive item pack if you get the City of Heroes Going Rogue: Complete Collection (MSRP $39.99 USD), that will be available when Going Rogue releases in July! What's in that item pack, you ask? Well, a few nifty things like:
    [/B]
    • Alpha- and Omega-themed auras
    • Alpha and Omega themed costumed sets
    • Four stance emotes
    • The Shadowy Presence invisibility power
Looks like the Complete Collection is on my list and it looks to me like both would give early access to the powers. However I'd like to see him advance pics of the Alpha and Omega auras and costumes, as well as an answer to this question: can Alpha or Omega aura be combined with the normal auras a character can have? Like say I want fiery hands and eyes PLUS an Alpha or Omega aura?

I can't help but remember the Star Wars: Galaxies MMO whose Epic Archetype, Jedi, took a dedicated player a year or more of grinding to unlock. There was a certain amount of displeasure when the Jedi class was opened up as a starting profession with no prerequisites.

Displeasure? As I recall the servers were burning up from all the flames of anger
  7. Hm, looks like I'll be available for this. Looks like the Corr part is covered so I'll bring either my bot/trap MM or my bot/FF MM

    Now that was funny!

Also Another Veat and my Super Permadom 3 dominator have wrapped them up and my two original heroes have now begun their final one.

    2 brutes should be next..

To be honest I don't know if Placate would have worked as Reichs seems to have high resistance to practically everything. When a stalker is on a MoCuda team that I run, I have them hit the guns to wipe out some of the initial ambush then join us in the tunnels to aid against the attacks. After that I ask them to stay away from Reichsman due to the "squish" factor. No offense to stalkers intended.

Most odd, were in the med bay or next to the SG/VG Base portal? If not send a bug petition and log back out.

Well done! That was the same for my main villain regarding Empath when the zero was dropped with ish 13 launch.
  15. Accolades that are "auto powers" take 10 days to build full charge of 2 hrs. Clickable powers with X-amount of charges also max up after 10 days. Best thing is examine the accolades and see which one can be charged simultaneously such as smoke bomb and web grenade for example.

You are correct. Last I checked this power has been broken since it's inception. I have some lowbie test concept toons sitting in AE for 10+ days now to charge that accolade and no progress. They have accumulated all other dayjobs that level 10 alts can and have charged the other accolades.

Yes I had a similar problem with my last one. I checked my account and saw that apparently the last 4 vet badges all awarded on the same date, which of course is impossible. Support was able to completely recalculate my vet badges to clear up the issue.

Well presuming that PB and WS can "Go rogue", yes it would be. Plenty of targets to summon a nictus to help as well as the AOE power to blase energy from a fallen foe.

As for the most painful. I could say Immortal as a wonderful pun, or the fact it also is the last one I can collect for now so Im sad to have to stop...but lets see. MoSTF was a long road learning how to do it right. After BT got it I was determined to help others get it and ran many MoSTFs for people. Zoo Keeper was tough back when you needed 10000 monkeys. I guess those are some of the ones that stick out in my mind.
Congratz! How did obtaining Leader go? Did you get it before or after the badge adjustments?
  20. It takes 21 days of total log out time to obtain a DJ. (Approx 432 days of offline time to get them all) You can log in and play the character but that stops the DJ clock of course. However you can resume the progress if you log out again in the correct area and it will take however much time is left to obtain the DJ.

But for some reason I'm not getting Day Job Accolade Powers that are clickable (self heal, revive, etc)... I am getting the auto powers.

Is that normal or am I missing something? Which I wouldn't be surprised if I did.

I've tried going back to 'recharge' the power but that doesn't seem to work either.
Some of the accolades are automatic powers, however some are clickable with X-amount of charges.

Smoke bombs, sleep gas bombs, web grenades, revive ally are examples of the clickable powers.

Powers such as extra regen or extra recovery or extra xp/inf are auto powers.

To start charging a dayjob accolade you need to log out in the area applicable to that power. You don't start charging a DJ Accolade until after you log in to receive the badge and log out again.

It takes 10 days to fully charge a DJ Accolade power of any kind.

One of the Brutes also perma-crashed in the final battle. Due to personal stuff I got called away so we all agreed to quit, especially since Reichsman somehow despawned and reappeared with full life.

Main issue was confusion/unpreparedness in the final battle as far as the temps were concerned. I didn't immediately see the side rooms, coordination on the Dominator super hold, etc. Plus, while I don't mind having huge ambushes in the room itself since it keeps you on your toes, refilling the entire map got a little daunting. Seems like that final battle is quite momentum based--full tilt immediately or risk a (seemingly) insurmountable recovery. Most are looking to rematch so the chance of succeeding the second time seems likely. Generally it was a solidly played and well mixed team.

    Claws/Willpower Stalker (me)
    Elec/Rad Corruptor (Necrotech Master)
    Energy/Invul? Brute (Lion's Pryde)
Fire/Elec Dominator (seen him around and know he's a good player)
Necro/Dark Mastermind (teamed with her on a few pugs. Pets occasionaly over aggro but otherwise decent)
Elec/Elec Brute (he crashed final mission but he played well and is looking forward to a rematch)

While I'm trying to think of an appropriately snarky comment for Castle on giving Reichsman THAT MUCH hp, not really bitter on the loss. It's not commonly run, known to be hard, and I'm still sorta new. Plus, I failed my first Sewer Trial so it just takes practice.
    Some tips for Reichsman:

    1. His AOE lightning attack is capable of stunning any character type including granite/rooted stoners and Kheldian dwarf forms. Doesn't always happen but it can. Have a few purps, a few break frees and Demonic Aura doesn't hurt either.

    2. While it is true that ONLY a stalker can trigger the laser guns, the guns are not critical to winning this and here is why: REICHSMAN will NOT LEAVE the machine room.

    3. After the machine is activated everyone jump in it and power up and make sure you have some open slots for your clickable temp power. Once you all power up, all squishies fall back into the tunnel entrance to the room. The Brute or brutes stay by the machine to intercept him as he appears. Taunt him and take his alpha strike, if need be have demonic aura turned on to help withstand it as it likely will be his AOE lightning. After the alpha strike, squishies get in range to apply debuffs as brutes begin pummeling him.

    4. After taking some hits he will summon the FIRST wave of ambushes. The instant they appear FALL BACK into the tunnels outside the machine room. Reichsman will not follow, he will approach the tunnels and maybe fire a beam attack but then he will bounce back to the machine and stay there. Meanwhile the ambushers will come at you from the machine room at first then the side tunnels. Wipe them out, all of them.

    5. After the FIRST wave is done, brutes enter the room and taunt Reichsman and take the alpha. Squishies then apply debuffs and brutes pummel him until he summons WAVE 2 of the ambushes. Again as before, FALL BACK into the tunnels outside the machine room, he will not follow. Wipe out all ambushers. Even if you somehow aggro Reichsman he will approach a bit and maybe fire an energy beam attack and then drop back to the machine.

    6. Ok so now all the ambushers are wiped out and that just leaves Reichsman. Well you may also notice that your buffs from the machine have worn off. No big deal that is normal. Brutes enter first and taunt him away from the machine and keep him busy while the NON brutes recharge from the machine. They then fall back while the brutes get into the machine and recharge their buffs. After that taunt Reichsman to your preferred spot in the room and pummel him down. The mastermind's temp power is of course mission critical as it disrupts his unstoppable mode. Brutes can cast a resist to end drain from Reichsman for themselves and others in range of it. Doms get the Scirocco hold powers and Corrs get the sandstorm powers. Stalkers would get the super buff their hide power which makes them the only one to enter the laser barred doors to use the guns, but again the guns aren't needed if you fall back into the tunnels just outside the machine room.

Advantage to fighting the ambushers in the tunnels: Reichsman won't follow as he is fixated on his machine. Also its close quarters combat in narrow tunnels which makes the Dominator hold power from the machine and the corruptor sandstorm power from the machine a very lethal combination in the tunnels. Just keep watch from all directions, though the side tunnels don't usually start flooding with ambushers until all ambushers that come from the machine room are wiped.

Blueside, you just have to plan to drop his huge sack of HPs, and have a plan to deal with the AVs that occasionally join the fray. Not much to it, really.
Redside version is similar but different. You have to learn Reichsman's power secret, escape from the early mission where he spawns since you cannot fight him yet, then battle the 5th in the last mish and escort each of Recluse's Lieutenants to the Reichsman machine and defeat them to power the machine. After all four are done, powerup in the machine then face Reichsman and his nigh endless waves of 5th columnists.
