I'm withholding decision on my blue and red badgers switching until all the facts are available such as what is the reward for never switching, what information is there on the incarnate levels, are any badges lost when switching, what is the best option to get the most badges. Secondary characters however will likely be switching.
-
Quote:I suspect that the upcoming Incarnate levels that have been mentioned may be the reward for never going rogue.I think this is an intended consequence.
You'll roll a separate badger to keep from ruining your good hero's reputation, which means you spend even more time getting the new badger up to speed with your old one before even starting the new badges.
But also we suspect there will be badges for never going rogue, so it could be impossible to get every badge. -
The idea of an MoLGTF badge makes me wanna hurl. If nothing else, I suspect that mission 4 of that TF will be the bane of many Mo attempts.

Bot/Arrow and Bot/Pain now complete.

Quote:So true.....I look forward to GR if I can then send my SP3 Mind/NRG into the STF.....It should also be noted mind/nrg probably the highest-powered control combo in the game. Mind control has huge amounts of control options, and /NRg has power boost to make them stronger with a good handful of stuns. Add in domination to boost duration/mag of all those, and you have a very safe dominator.

Quote:Not to beat the dead horse too much Robo, but some of the AE badges that were yanked had some rather silly requirements. 50,000 custom kills in TEST mode? Uhm......No.I still think it's BS that we had almost 100 Badges taken out, heh, I still don't see how it would've solved the AE Baby Problem.
We're basically up to the normal badge amount of last year. Heck, we would've been in the 850 Badge Range if it wasn't for that big middle finger from Posi.
But other than that, I greatly look forward to I17 and all of the new Badges to get. ^_^ -
Quote:I'd be happy with tracking meters for those gladiator badges as well, but I think Posi a long time ago made it clear that wasn't going to happen. So the next alternative would be to link them to other defeat badges.I'd really they rather just: a) add a badge counter to the Gladiator badger like every other defeat gets (Defeat x more Mu Guardians to earn this badge.), and b) allow you to click on them to set your title, rather than going through the /settitle command.
If part b requires that they rename the badges because they still have some weird revulsion to people running around with "Tank Smasher" or "Longbow Warden" under their name, then so be it. (Personally, I'd love to see "Tank Smasher" become "Tank Smasher Smasher," although my Freakshow-themed SS/Inv Brute would be a little ticked. :P) -
With all the badges that are being added, I'd like to see them revisit the Gladiator badges that are essentially defeat badges:
MU Guardian gladiator badge: kill 100 Mu Guardians
Mob Specialist: kill 100 Prisoner Bosses
Blue Ink Man: kill 125 Blue Ink Men (only the Blue count)
Steel Strongman (or was it Swift Steel?): for killing 300 Tsoo Ancestors Spirits
plus any other gladiator badges that I forgot to mention.
Shouldn't these badges become linked to current defeat badges or just made into a defeat badge that AWARDS the Gladiator badge?
We have the Warden badge for defeating 500 prisoners, so why not link the gladiator badge to that? Or make an actual defeat badge for the prisoner bosses that awards the gladiator badge? This would make it like the two badges for the Skulls.
300 Tsoo Ancestor Spirits for a gladiator badge.... shouldn't this be made into a defeat badge that awards the gladiator badge or else link it to something like maybe the defeat badge for killing Tsoo sorcerors.
100 Mu Guardians: again, how about an actual defeat badge for them or else link to another badge? -

Quote:I cruised through the PVP zones and didn't detect any new badges, but I just didn't have the heart to explore the shard.Well, there are several zones without exploration accolades in Issue 17.
- Bloody Bay
- Siren's Call
- Warburg
- Recluse's Victory
- The Hive
- The Abyss
- Rikti War Zone
- Pocket D
- All four Shadow Shards
- Monster Island
- Crey's Folly
- Eden
-
I don't think any were missing, but the easy way is to get them per zone and see if you get the accolade badge for that zone for getting all the exploration badges.

Quote:Well i was half serious when I posted 500,000 candy canes as the requirement, but there are those with the attitude of "If you missed the anniversary badge, tough luck", so I figure a high price for buying them might be able to relatively pacify them.I agree that this is a good idea. (I'm not the sort of badger who's all, "RAR, I HAZ BADGEZ AND I DON'T WANT YOU TO HAZ THEM!" I think the more crazy badgers we have, the better.
)
But I think 500K is a little much, given that a holiday respec costs what, 500 candy canes? I'd make each Anniversary badge 1000 candy canes, tops. A little expensive for the casual player, sure, but readily available to the people who really want them.
I'd also follow through on Positron's push to get the Anniversary badges marked as global badges instead of per-character ones, as he said he'd try to do after the AE badge nerf last Spring...
(And thanks for the gratz, Nericus.
)
I would prefer they just be global -
Quote:That may be as may be Snow. I myself would like to see the return of the power liberator badge as well as the ability to purchase via INF or special salvage the anniversary badges.I fail to see the need to celebrate the fact that only people with (a) Passport (unavailable to most players) or (b), Bug Hunter (available to even less players), or both can get to 700 badges currently.
I find it far more worthy to recognize those that get all the badges except Bug Hunter, Passport, all the Vet Rewards, all the Anniversary Badges (and the 5th Column Gladiator), and Power Liberator/Thief. That would be an even playing field, but those badges that not everyone has equal availability to get all of? Meh.
Perhaps for a mere 500,000 candy canes during the x-mas event a toon can purchase a missing anniversary badge? -
Quote:Hm now that you mention it I had to petition also for my latest vet badge. Methinks the vet badge system still has a bug or two in it.It's baaaack!
After petitioning for not receiving it on Monday, I was awarded Genuine (the 69 month Vet badge) this afternoon. I am now at a comfy 700 badges.
... And now back to Mass Effect 2. I swear, that game has my soul right now.
Seriously though, gratz on 700. My main blue toon is working his way there. The only major badge set it needs to work is the invention badges. -
Quote:Dual form can be quite viable. I have 3 WS, the main one is a tri-former, the other 2 are dual formers human/dwarf. Each built a bit different from the other for some variety as well as thematic reasons.Taking a second look at all the Warshade powers, I'm contemplating trying out a dual-form build over a Tri-form one.
Is it worthwhile to do a Warshade without a Nova form?
Same goes for my 3 PB. -
Quote:Thanks, Silver!Well, to be fair, I didn't get 600 badges in a few months.
I was at 477 when I finally thought to myself, "time to get serious about badges!" So, I've picked up about 130 new badges in the last few months. Decent accomplishment, I figure - but I won't rest til I've finished ALL the badges I can!
Anyway, grats also to Lineuphere1 and Nericus!

My blue badge hunter now joins the 600 club as he wraps the Ouro badges.
-
I have 3 of each Kheld, all built a bit differently from each other and I enjoy them all.
"I like Khelds, and Khelds like me. Gotta love having 6 Khelds as triple Master winners, yessiree." -
