  3. I like them ideas, have always wanted a melee buff class, though would have to rework the sets to allow for more survivability, which your inherent does but it could end up problematic.

    personally, for a set of new epics i would like to see temperature based sets that overview a lot of different aspects of play. i have ideas for them but i wouldn't want to thread jack or anything =)

    i noticed you had one free slot, so i took one from somewhere else and put both of them on frozen armour and added the 2 +3% def procs so your now soft capped in S/L

    those procs are very useful in soft capping defences and do free up some space for extra regen/recovery/rech/accuracy etc...
  5. Made myself a claws brute recently, got him to level 10 in 2 days and im a pretty casual player, LOVE IT!!! I guess the new diff and claws being fast, easy on the end and pretty tough made it one mean set. i doubt the nerf will make it any less fun to play, unless they descide to take it down even more

I'm not sure about best but i know making an elec/shield would effectively waste the potential on both sets as you have 2 AOE teleport powers, that as far as i know are designed for entering battle, so having two wouldn't be very useful, tho this could potentially give you a free slot if you don't take one.
  9. The plus end mod proc form PS is definately a go for, as for healing there are 3 uniques in the healing set, +regen, +recovery, +regen/recovery. I'm guessing you'll probally have maximum 2 of those in heal, so slot on of the others in PP =D

  10. We need to be able to trade between hero and villain characters. Maybe they could set it up so it's only possible in coop zones and not PvP xones cos that'd be a bit silly really.

    i wouldn't want to see the forums become something like Aett_Torn decribed so i guess this idea isn't as great as i first precieved

    I did have a search for alternate forums once but it took me like over half an hour searching google to find one, dunno why tho, probally took the wrong approach. Guess ill have a look at linked forums and SG ones seems like a pretty safe idea.

    I do like the trial account idea myself, and it would be pretty helpful if i had like one burning question i wanted answered =)

  12. Hi, i myself am a casual player, buying a month when the need takes me, which suits me to a tea because i don't like the idea of payments going out of my accound when i cant see them at all, unless i check my balance at an ATM or online.

    Though there is one thing that has always bugged me, when your time runs out you can't access the forums, now i don't know whether or not this is purposeful to make people effectively pay to use the forums but i find it unfair to casual players like me and others who enjoy using the forums.

    An example of this whould be when i was going to buy a month but wanted to wait till i16 was very close by so i would get most of my time with i16 on the game so i wasn't missing out, but when i wanted build help so i would be able to hit the ground running when i did activate my accound i couldn't access the forums.

    Now i don't know if there are very many of these posts out there, but im guessing either people have accepted the fact, don't use it when they arn't playing the game, or get annoyed but forget quickly when they buy game time, but i think that every accound holder should be allowed access to the forums whether or not they are currently paying to play the game.

  13. Hey, i recently descided to creat a very short arc with the aim being to have the players fight a very strong opponent in the hopes to beat them.

    I'm not sure how the arc works in terms of where it can be played from, but i play on defiant in the Uk incase it's only playable there.

    Now the arc is played in a very small abandonned office so there are very few other enemies to slow you down if on a low diff that is =P.

    I was hoping i could get some of you to test this as i am but one person. So far with my scrapper i could hardly touch the AV and i only saw the very smallest hp drop which was quickly regenerated so he's hard as far as i can tell.

    If you could test this guy i would be more than happy, and preferably with a large team

  14. Yaaaay my turn to create an idea =P

    Reptillian Armour (Kinda based more around the raptor than the t-rex type dino =D)

    (these are in no particular order)

    1) Scales: (auto) your scales give you natural resistance to your environment, increses smashing, lethal, fire and toxic damage

    2) Armour Plating: (auto) your tick armour can protect you from damage giving you a natural defence against melee, smashing and lethal defense.

    3) Immunity: (auto) your natual immunity to disease and poison gives you increased resistance vs. toxic damage as well as slightly increased regen and recovery

    4) Sharp Reflexes: (auo) your naturally toned reflexes give you increased perception speed and attack rate as well as some defense to ranged and AoE attacks

    5) Will of the Raptor: (toggle) your raptor like intelect gives you a strong mind increasing your psionic res and defense whilst this toggle is activated.

    6) Heavy Hide: (toggle) your heavy body makes you harder to shift and hold giving you protection against holds, immob, knockback and repel effects

    7) Fierce fighting: (toggle) as a reptile you have a naturally fearful appearance, for every enemy in melee range your accuracy (or) attack speed is slightly increased and their damage is reduced (out of fear obviously, but fear would be too strong an effect here, and on its own wouldn't be too usedful with the set, but the power itself is thematic) the first enemy gives the biggest boost, taunt aura.

    8) Morning Sun: (click) by basking in the sun you can heal your wounds as well as increasing your regeneration and recovery rate as well as fire res for 90 seconds,

    9) Cry of the Raptor: (click) you let out a sinister cry leaving most foes within melee range in fear for a long while, also your attack speed and defense is increased for 3 minutes as you fight furily to protect yourself from harm. After 3 minutes you will become exhausted and lose alost all your endurance and not being able to recover for a short while.

    What'ya think all? pretty lets say, individual yes. i quite like it and in the right preportions wouldn't be overpowered, it also does have some wholes so is not OV3RPOW3R3D as some may suggest maybe possibly i dunno. but who cares i think it's cool =D

The whole concept of changing into a bulking chunk of rock is the whole idea behind granite, your whole body is covered in rock so your become practically invinsible but as a set back you move slower and do less damage. if the granite effect was changed so vastly that the characters costume was still visiable then this would kinda break Granites concept entirely.

    I personally think the best option would be to have a customisable granite, like how you have custom weapons and now, custom powers. If there was a different granite model depending on your body size, which scaled with your height, and you had the ability to change it the same way you can with the other armours in the set, this would make granite really cool IMHO, and i personally think there would be so many more people who would want to see the above than there would to want granite to stay as it is, or have granite become just added rock like the other armours.

With Dark Amour, i strongly suggest you get as close to the S/L soft cap as you can as well as slotting to have at least 1% health regen which is about 240% normal regen, which isn't too hard a target. With the res, defence and regen you will be able to tank mobs pretty well as far as i can guess, tho my tank isn't at IOing level yet so i not sure how well it will tank, i just know it will tank well. =)

    Performance shifter +end chance, this means something like every 10 secs you have a 20% chance to recover 10% endurance, which according to some statistics i saw a while back that increases your recovery quite a bit more than putting a IO end mod enhancement in the power.

    Also efficiency adapter has a lot of good regen/recov procs, if you can spare an extra 3 slots i suggest 4 slotting that for the bonuses, or if thats too much, an extra slot would give an hp boost, whereas 2 would give you an extra recov bonus ever improving stamina than normal IO's would =)

    I want to get as close to the S/L soft cap as i can, and i don't think i did too bad.

    Conserve power is obviously in place of energise, so i would have a couple numinas for the 12% regen and the +end and recharge things from eficiency adapter.

    I also want to get my recharge as fast as pos, which is why i have the Purple in Lightning rod, for the extra rech and accuracy.

    Hoping you can give me some help with this, or just tell me it will play well because as im only 32 and need to respec to this i don't know whether this will play with good def/res/regen and end use/recov

    Ps: i would like to add that at level 32 with capped energy res and my other reses at the 36% level i cannot even hold my own against a lvl 35 Lt crey protector and a lvl 35 crey minion of some sort, thats 2 enemies... something must be wrong, and i think it's my lack of defence
  22. The big bang power would have to be waaay overpowered to be anything near to what it would have been.

    if it was actually big bang power then all enemies in a huge radius would be instantly fried and as much as i would love to see that as well as the annimation that would go with it the devs wouldn't be too happy with that much power in the hands of a player. =P

    tho this has sparked the creativity to create a space manipulation set omewhere and maybe post something if its worth enough =D

  23. It could be done with making a fortress type thing which you have to shield from invasions when you are there.

    You could use the mission architect style thingy to create your own enemy group specifically for your instance. you could have a point scaling thing, you would get points for defeating invasions, which would have different levels of difficulty each giving more points. The point would allow you to buy more members for your enemy group. So you could start with a minion with standard powers for a small price, that you could upgrade to hard and then extreme (without being able to skip stages) for more points. you could then buy Lt and boss avalability, then a fleet leader EB, a platoon leader AV and a giant monster guardian, so by the end of it with all the points and upgrades after hours and endless hours of batteling you could wage the kind of wars you see in films like LOTR and Star wars with massive Origin specific fleets of enemies.

    HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE!!!!!

    tho the zone event idea seems a little much, what would happen if loads of people perfected their bases at the same time???? though i do love the idea of having a customisable city. and i think it would be cool if you could invite players to serve you or join forces with you. and heroes could choose to try and defeat your forces, kinda like a hami raid, nice and hard =D

  24. I like the idea, and sliders would be able to balance it.

    Like you could have categories.

    Buff
    Range
    Melee

    then:

    Aoe
    Cone
    Target

    Then sliders that would have like damage, accuracy, recharge, endurance, range.

    So if you wanted you could put the attack damage at like 500% base the accuracy at 200% base then have it cost like 30pts endurace and take like 30 mins to recharge.

    Or give you a 500% recharge bonus for 10 seconds for 20 end, with a 12000 sec recharge

    It would be great you could personalise charcters, so you could have a Super Speedy character with a 0.5 second recharge, 1 accuracy, 5 endurace, 5 damage, so like a reeeeeally fast brawl so it would be low damage but almost connstantly usable =P

    it could be fun, and mostly gimmic i think, well for me anyways...

    ok... i saw this thread and thought huh, seems like someone has come up with an idea to give teams a bonus for staying together longer, seems like a good idea, will stop people from getting others to join to help them do one mission or whatever. but no turns out it was just someone saying they want teaming to be impatient with EXTREME rewards. kinda reminds you of how storng and pretty teh WM/EA brutes are, anyone?

    ps: dude you need to think realistically and realte to the actual game if you wanna come up with ideas that could work. You wouldn't go into a DIY shop and ask to buy the latest designer shirt from france would you. It's the same thing it has to fit in =)
