I thought about it, then decided I didn't want the hassle of a DMCA complaint. It'd probably get generic'ed as well. Besides. there are no Pop-Tart costume parts.

EDIT: Whoa, Roderick, that info is an eye-opener. Good job.

That's certainly a better system. That would explain why my list is full, then. I have all the pieces, I just didn't know it showed all the pieces, whether you have them or not. Well spotted.
  4. As stated above, you can only get the safeguard completion temp powers once. On subsequent run-throughs, you do not receive the temp power, even if you once had it and wait until you've used it up.

It'd be nice if everyone could be as proactive as some, but a lot of players don't feel comfortable starting up their own trials. It's kind of daunting. I know I myself would never attempt to lead anything that wasn't a BAF, Lambda, or Keyes trial, simply because I don't feel I know all the ins and outs of other trials well enough to explain them to a group of twenty people in mid-battle. I'm perfectly comfortable participating in a TPN or MoM or Diabolique trial, but if I tried to lead one, it'd be a mess and likely a failure. So I save everyone that grief and don't start those myself. I let someone qualified do it, at least until the day comes that maybe I do feel like I could lead something like that effectively.
Just because you gather the people for a team or league to start the trial, it doesn't mean you have to lead the trial. There are people better at forming the team/league and there are people better at leading said team/league. In my SG, the person creating and inviting is often not the same person actually leading the group's activity. Maybe you could create the group and invite for it, mentioning in your messages for more that you would like a trial leader as well. I'm sure you'd get someone to step up who likes leading, but doesn't necessarily like the forming/inviting headaches. Or get together in advance with someone who can lead so they know you'll hand over leadership to them once the team/league forms. You don't HAVE to do it all, especially if you're not comfortable leading.

To see which pieces you have unlocked for your account, click Collect on your navigation window, then click the dropdown and select Super Packs>Heroes and Villains. I didn't know about this until after I had all the pieces. It may or may not indicate which pieces you don't have yet.
I believe what that list indicates is what pieces you DO have.

No. I would expect the lasagna I paid for to be delivered on time, but on the other hand, the price for my lasagna doesn't usually include a free pizza, nor the right to treat the employees like dirt if I don't get it the instant I want it. Preparation time is assumed, especially if this restaurant never included pizza on their menu prior to this.

Forgive me, I started long before the "Vet Rewards" started. I consider all of them (now "Paragon Rewards" ), plus the new stuff like the PP monthly stipend for VIPs, to be "free stuff". When I started playing, all we paid for was access to the game, and most of us were grateful for that. That's still all you get for your monthly charge for most other MMOs out there. Too bad that a lot of players feel that their monthly charge pays for a righteous sense of entitlement, too.

And, yes, before you mention it, I do see that you started before the Vet Reward program rolled out, too. I see your $15 apparently gets you far more than my $15 gets me.

As a side note, I have never NOT gotten anything I've been promised by the game. Some things might have been delayed a bit, but everything I've earned I've gotten. No use in complaining it wasn't "soon enough" to suit me. All my expectations about this game have been met, and surpassed. In no way am I "entitled" to anything above what they want to give me for my $15. If I don't like it, or I feel "ripped off", I can always stop giving them my $15 every month.

Oftentimes death is unavoidable, for example, when a scrapper or blaster goes running off far ahead of the team. In this case, it is not the death that denotes the failure, but failing to take advantage of the opportunity that death represents to deliver some big hurt on the next pack of bad guys.

Yet another variation on "PANCAKEing about getting free stuff".

"No, you don't get it. I want it when I WANT it, not when they want to give it to me."

  16. Can we possibly get a sticky put on this thread?

It would help a lot of new incarnates keep from asking this over and over. My highest incarnate is finally Tier 3 Alpha, and a lot of this was news to me, too. My guess is some people stay away from the iTrials just because they don't know how to go about it. This thread stickied would help a lot.

    macros

Also of value to MMs especially is the fact that you can take the buttons you're given (Attack, Heel, and Follow I think they are) and edit them, since they themselves are just macro buttons.

Just thought I'd add that since it's not immediately apparent to new MM players. I didn't figure it out until my second MM was near 30.
  18. My vote would be 1)Rad, 2)Dark and 3)Time. All are solo-friendly, but Time particularly might need help from a more damage-heavy secondary, like Fire, or Energy. I'm leveling a Time/Fire right now, and it is more fun than I thought it would be, tbh. Rad is very safe, at least until you get to the high 40's, when mobs develop more resistance to your debuffs. Dark is also sort of safe, doubly so if your choose dark for the secondary, since you can then stack all the -tohit you're delivering. Time starts slow and grows in strength, so it really helps to have a secondary with good damage to get you over that hump.

Most of the rest of the defender primaries have a lot of team-friendly powers, and so are less optimal for solo play.

I wish more companies would actually admit the truth of their product, and let customers make informed decisions.
But then they wouldn't SELL as many! Gasp!

This is why people hate marketing and commercials. Obviously, they care more about making money than preventing harm. An informed customer is the enemy of marketing, unless the company actually has a superior product. But then again, they wouldn't need superior marketing nearly so badly if they did.

Think about it: if slot machines laughed at you when you lost at them, would anyone play them?
If dying in an MMO causes someone to ragequit, maybe they shouldn't be playing with others in the first place.

The Finale should send the player to a zone with a heavy CoT presence that can easily be accessed by Heroes and Rogues, such as Perez Park.
Your instance happened to be in Echo: DA this time. Instances are at least semi-random. I've gotten this mission instance in Perez Park before. All this said, locating the mission permanently in Perez Park might not be a bad idea.

I like having my supposedly self-sufficient characters and their stuff separated. Would you mind watching a Superman movie and see Clark Kent go and withdraw 2 million bucks from Bruce Wayne's bank account? Why? Both characters belong to DC Comics.

And you can't do this yourself why?

Send 20 emails to your global with 1 million inf each. Every time you need a mil, open your email. Sounds simple. Do it like once a week and you'll have that cash ready anytime you need. If that sounds too tedious, raise the number of emails or the amounts. Do it once and be ready when you need it. No need to waa waa that the devs don't do it for you.

I didn't say all resources should be devoted to fix the core game. Only one issue. Incarnate content has had plenty of dedicated issues, so time to go back to the core I say.
We've seen some improvement recently for 50+ (DA) and for the below 20 crowd (improved AP mission arcs) as well as the 20-29 group (the two new arcs in Steel Canyon (I love getting the 2 new temp powers from Graham Easton's arc)). What I would love to see is not only finally fixing the stuff that's been wonky for years (numerous typos that never seem to get fixed despite many bug reports) but maybe now's the time to fix that EXP hole I hit at the late 30's on nearly every character. It's always a struggle to hit 40 because I run out of content right about then, never fail.

As to the OP, maybe a break IS needed. Go try that game with the Pandas or something. I left for a year just as the incarnate stuff first appeared, recently came back because I heard CoX went F2P and had to see it for myself, spent a week I think as Freemium, couldn't take it any more and VIP'ed up as soon as I could, and I'm happy to be back, I missed getting my CoX fix. After 6 months playing some of the crap that's out there, the OP will be crying to come back, I guarantee.
