    Airship Rookery

While I would like to claim credit for making up the word, I got it from Cute Overload. It refers to a cute, short appendage, usually a leg, sometimes a little tail (See bunnicus addoribalis). To short to be truly effective, and extra adorable because of it.

Oh no, the horror! The terrible pug horror! How could they show such things? The the... squashed faces.. and the little stubbular legs... and the curly tails... Oh I think I'm going to faint.

*walks out of her cabin, dressed in a full long coat, brass goggles, with a trusty electro-saber and steam pistol at her side*

Avast ye! We've got a fine shipload of booty coming in from the isle of Bimbos. Their air galley should be passing by this route soon. Action stations everyone!

*slams a button on the big brass control panel and a dozen steam cannons deploy, manned by brass and wood clockwork clanks*
  4. Congrats puppy!

.. want to adopt a cute kitteh now. I could only dream of making that kind of money...

    Oh no you don't, c'mere.

D&D Online was indeed set in Xen'drik, in and around the settlement of Stormreach. They kind of miss their mark with a lot of stuff from Eberron that doesn't appear in the game for one reason or another. Some things are there, like Warforged and airships... Others are distinctly missing. No magic trains, no Shifters (boo) or the other extra races. And it seems to really be missing a lot of possiblities by not having the mainland in. I believe they wanted to set up in an area though where they didn't have to worry about stepping on the toes of any future storylines set in Eberron by Wizards, which is why you can't go to the mainland. They can do pretty much whatever they like in Stormreach.
  7. Form of Kitteh Blanket!

    *drapes over Yuri*
  8. Sounds like fun times, Yuri. I like the Eberron setting too. Magic + sorta-tech + making things fit for the system + just enough of a twist of the standards to keep stuff interesting + a few new things = fun times to me.

*perches on Yuri's head to further confuse people as to the identity.*

Wonder-Cute-Twin Powers, activate! *touches her tail to one of Yuri's*
  9. Oh noes, it's goth Rooky in nifty shoes.

Hiya everybodies. I can has another day of vacation?

    Yay, thanks a lot NekoAli.
The multiplayer thingies aren't really important for me. I just want to see all the lore and if there's an ending. I really want to know more about the Truths and all that stuff. =)

    [/ QUOTE ]

heh. Sadly, I can't tell you about the ending. I'm not even sure if the game has a proper ending, since they planned to expand on it over time. But I never got a character all the way to the end, partly because of the whole having to create different characters of single/multiplayer. And partly because I am a terrible altoholic in all games. I will say I did always find it fun to play. Not very deep, but hey... you get to shoot zombies and demons in the head with high powered weapons. This is never a bad thing

Bestest news of the week! I started checking a bit on ebay and i'm wondering...
    http://catalog.ebay.com/Hellgate-London_...295QQ_tabZ1"%7D
Would that have the single-player version in it? Some advertise that the box is still sealed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup, it does. The multiplayer and single player are the same game. It uses the same client and all that, just when you load up the game you have the choice of playing single player offline or multiplayer online. Of course, now that the servers are shut down, you really don't have the option for multiplayer anymore :P

Ah well, maybe someday. Hanbitsoft, the new owners of the IP and game are going to be adding more to the game and putting the servers back up... in Asia. Bandai has the rights for the North American/European multiplayer release still. Supposedly Hanbitsoft wants to release again in those areas, but they have to work out the legal details still.

It should be noted though that Single and Multiplayer characters are separate. If you start in single player you can't bring a character from there to the online version, if and when it ever is released again.
  13. Though I've been fortunate enough to never lose family or friends in combat, three of my cousins were in the Navy, and I've had a number of friends who were police officers, in the National Guard, Army and Marines. In middle/high school I had considered joining either the police or the Air Force myself, but decided to go with my love of computer tech instead.

I may not always agree with war or the causes for it. But I have utmost respect for those who volunteer to serve their people and put their lives on the line for others, be they military, security or emergency service people. Especially to those who pay the ultimate price for their service.

*salutes the men, women and animals who risk their own lives to keep others safe*
  14. sniff.. Why the hating, puppy?

Hey, Hellgate: London is a pretty decent game. It had a really horrible start, and was pushed out before it was ready. But it is a good bit of fun. There's a serious lack of post apocalyptic MMOs out there you know. Of course, Hellgate was sort of.. MMO lite. You could chat and team up with other people, but there really wasn't much reason to.

Good news though FireWyvern. There is a single player version included with the game. Same basic storyline, but you don't get the Stonehenge expansion stuff. But you can still play. You don't get some of the improvements they made (skill balancing, mail system, that sort of thing) but it still works fine. And assuming you can find a copy somewhere, people will probably practically give it away.
  17. *crawls out of the pool, now looking like one of those hairless cats from all the wrinkling*

Well, it has some very good things going for it. Expanded character customization/costume parts. Mix and match power customization. And the Champions name.

Unfortunately, the game looks terrible, plays worse and has little to do with Champions the PNP game aside from the name and characters.

I tried to like it, I really did. They did some things right. I like being able to make the character I want. Power armor blaster type character? Yup. You can't really do that with COX thanks to the archetypes sadly.

For myself though, I just can't see myself paying for this game. Maybe if it was free to play, I'd try it out. Otherwise.. hmmm, nah. I stick with COX.
  20. I dunno Yuri.. are you also black and/or a person of loose morals? Those kinds of people often die before the cute and cuddly ones in horror/slasher films.

Jerkfaces are on their own though. Mostly they die first so the audience can cheer on the serial killer...

*goes back to circling the rafts with fellow sharkitteh Becky*
  21. *ties a fin to her back and goes swimming around in the pool*
  22. Hi everybody. I'm not dead.
