  1. 'Fiances' plural, Froggy? You dog you...

And yes, I like Atlus' work myself. I was very excited for this game. And I don't mind the cutesy or magical stuff certainly. But for a game advertised about steampunk, I've only seen the cutesy and magical. You start with a 'steam tank' that you can fill up at a building in the town.. but no indication of what it's used for or anything like that. I wouldn't have even known it was there if I hadn't stumbled across it trying to find anybody who would give me anything to do.

I may be being harsh on the game since I only played for a couple of hours, but to be honest, there are hundreds and thousands of games out there. If you can't get people interested enough to play from the start, you're not going to keep people, no matter how cool it gets 10, 20 or 100 hours into the game. If it's not engaging right away you are going to lose a huge section of potential playerbase.
  2. Team is still going strong Rad. all about level 13ish, in the Hollows. Getting ready to beat up and arrest Frostfire.
  3. Ahhh Neo Steam. Tried it. By the time I... oh started the game and made a character I was already SO VERY disappointed in it. It's not a steampunk game. It's a generically cutsety fantasy typcially eastern grindfest that was dropped in a vat of steampunk.

I made up a techno character, who is shown in this cool armor shooting a gun at people. I get dropped into the tutorial area where I'm tasked with killing the same nearly identical different kinds of round puffball non offensive critters with a dagger.... By the time I'm done with the tutorial stuff, I'm level 5. And nobody will give me any other quests to do until I'm level 10. The only thing I can do is continue to kill those same 3 different critters in the starting area who all share the same model.

Yeah, I uninstalled and didn't look back. It's not a steampunk game. It's a fantasy game they sprayed with some steampunk juice and hoped it stuck. I'll wait for Gatheryn, thanks.

    FOR SCIENCE

Well, one of my first characters, and oldest existing character was always designed as a shape shifting demon. She originally started out with a very tall 'sexy devil' form, and it was my intention to give her a normal sized human disguise and a really big scary demon form... Imagine my surprise when I got to level 20 and excitedly rushed off to ICON only to find you can't change size when you change costume...

I've got a number of power armor concepts that would have gone great with the whole normal/huge body type change. And of course, I can always use the new science lab type costume pieces. In particular I have a Steampunk Inventor character who's on hold right now waiting for the ability to be a morally grey character once i15 comes out... New lab coats and goggles would be great.
  5. *walks in wearing a one piece mini skirt, platform go go boots and hair done up in a beehive*

Hello! And welcome to the Rookery. of the future! Relax and let your cares melt away as the auto robots take care of your every need. [until they eventually take over and enslave all of humanity forcing them to work in the energon mines until they die of radiation poisoning]

    *smiles brightly and whirrs*
  6. mmm.. I could go for a nice baby too. Grilled in a white wine sauce... perhaps a side of fava beans... delicious.
  7. *changes back to Iron Kitteh and joins in the rampage*

Oh, with the announcement of the ability to change body type and height at the tailors.. I'm already planning a Mega Power mode for Iron Kitteh. Good opportunity to play with multiple builds too, maybe...
  8. So it really was good, Viv? I want to hope that it is, but I was sorely disapointed by the first Transformers movie. I wanted giant robots fighting. Not pointless human teenage hormones and angst for two hours with a half hour of robot bashing. If they reversed that ratio for the second movie, I could get behind it.

    about. bloody. time.

Finally can change character body types. the question is, is it linked between costume changes? That is implied, but not directly stated...

More costume stuff is good too.
  10. *staggers around like Velma looking for her glasses*

Scooby? Is that you? I can't see a thing....
  11. *walks over to give Fedor a hug*

Sorry, I didn't think they would let you in there that long. I mean, they saw me put you in there, I figured someone would get you right out. I was off getting my new glasses.

    *poses and shows them off*

To bad I can't afford them.

    /e panhandle
  12. *tussles with Fedor for a while, before tossing him in the box and wrapping it up with a pretty bow*

    Aha! Turnabout is fair play!
  13. So.. should I get faerie wings for Iron Kitteh?
  14. *finally transforms back to full Iron Kitteh size*

GASP! About time someone opened that thing.... I couldn't breathe in there. Oh wait, I don't breathe....

Ah well. I didn't want to transform inside and rip the pretty packaging...

(going to be heading out in a little bit, yay my new glasses are ready!)
  15. The package wiggles frantically away from the Pogo-hammer.
  16. The package slowly starts to wiggle it's way across the table, heading for the edge.
  17. Well, I just popped in game for a little bit to check things out. I do have the FrostFire mission now. I went around, sold off my salvage and stuff and set myself up with DO enhancers, so I'll be even more protective next week! I'm currently camped in front of the mission door.
  18. A small, brightly colored box falls out of dimensional hole from a nearby parallel universe. Landing lightly on the counter, it rocks back and forth a few times, with a faint 'mew' being heard from inside.
  19. I think I still have to call him up and get the next mission, whatever it is. At the end there I had pretty much reached my limit of how much attention I could pay. It had been a long day of work and general stuff and I was tired, so I didn't really mine quitting a bit early there.
  20. In the relative silence, a small, mostly unnoticed squeaky toy springs to life, changing shape into the amazing Iron Kitteh. Scurrying over to the coffee makers, she selects the darkest, strongest, thickest brew and gulps some down.

    "Ahhh.. almost like forty weight..."

Noticing a few people about, Iron Kitteh transforms back into the squeeky toy to avoid notice, sitting by the coffee makers.
  21. It was the bubbles *nods sagely*

Okay, maybe the fire shields and healing auras helped.

    But yup. Mostly bubbles. FWEEN!

    Leave the coercing to me.

*looks at Wyld with big, sad eyes and lip a-quiver* pweeease join? We'll have punch and pie. And if you don't like punch and pie, then I'll make special pudding for you ...

Gasp! Not.. pistachio tapioca Emmi? Oh yuuum, I want some!
  23. *pops back in*

Sorry, after all morning/afternoon of work and stuff I finally got some time to go play the new Fallout 3 DLC, Point Lookout. Lots of fun so far, and I haven't even really got into the meat of it yet.

Now having some dinner so I can be ready for the team tonight
  24. *lays sprawled out on her back in front of the fan*

Actually, it's not so bad today. Only about 90 and not so oppressively hot thanks to the little bit of rain yesterday.

Oh and Emmi? I really like your.... guitar.
  25. *stands in front of the waterspraying fan, getting soaked and cooled at the same time*

    ahhhh.. good job, Fed.
