*rawrs and begins the epic tiger-back tussling of kitteh vs sackboy*

sniff.. I try to be nice and get you something new, and you hit me in the face with it.. well take this!
*smears Fedor with raspberry jelly* -
Hi Tiger.
*pants self in orange and black stripes and lays on Tiger's back, giving him a hump.* -
Careful there Fedor. In honor of hump day, I replaced your usual chocolate donut with an overfilled, bulging jelly donut.
-
*shakes BP*
They won't let me into Aion! I was in just a bit ago and they put up a 'We're turning off the server in 60 seconds' notice. And I still can't get in. No notice about any kind of maintenance or how long it will take... I NEED MY GAME, MAN! MAKE IT WORK! -
*rides in on a camel to deliver supplies to the Rookery. Turning on the lights and revving up the chefbots, she sends them to work*
Boy, nobody else could come up with a theme either today? Well I declare the theme to be... things with a hump! Have you met my friends Quasimodo and Igor? Come on in guys, don't be shy. Have some breakfast. -
Three days Jag? hmph, softy. I've had to deal with nearly the last month solid of rain. Today is the first day I've seen the sun in weeks.
*hobbles off on her walker, muttering about 'why back in my day we had to climb a big ladder to light and blow out the giant skycandle which got pretty darn tiring on partly cloudy days let me tell you... but did we complain? Dang straight we did, not that it ever did us a lick of good...'* -
*sits on Fedor's head*
That's a good plan.
*cough cough* -
*hops on the Tiger raft and points down the street, paddling along*
It's that-a-way Captain Fedor! Follow us! -
*plays with Emmi's keyboard*
And you as well hon. -
Well, at least it will be easier to find those mad scientists now and thwart their schemes.
-
Yeah, it can get pretty hairy at times. Opening days can be pretty harsh when you only have one starting zone. That's part of the reason they so heavily throttled the servers initially, so the starting areas wouldn't be even more swamped than they were. I expect today to be much the same, but I've got a character ascended and into the next zone, so I'm not that worried.

*hugs Rooky*
Silly birdy. That's why you build your homes in trees. -
Come join me on the Asmodae side! We've got punch and cookies! Dark cookies...
-
*spies out a loose scale on Dragon's belly and goes off to tell the archers*
-
*picks donut bits out of her ears and flings them at Fedor and puppy*
Take that! Don't make me get out a custard pie! -
Seems all the Virtuites are playing Elyos on Lumiel though. Well, I'll try to not blame you to much for picking the wrong side as I cut you down.
-
Here you go: http://na.aiononline.com/
So, now that things settled a bit this morning, I've been able to set up characters in their proper places. So far, I has this:
Lumiel, Asmodae faction: Ashya-Sorceress, Zanlith-Gladiator, Zalii-Assassin, Jessa-Chanter
Zikel, Elyos faction: Dorica-Ranger
I'll be making more Elyos later on. -
Ack! Now why would you be doing such a thing as that? A waste of perfectly good food that is!
-
Silly? Here?? US?!?
Hey now, I resemble that remark!
*crosses arms and huffs crossly* -
*puts on a nice kettle for tea and prepares Elevenses for everyone*
I hope you all like scones. Oh, and I have some lovely raspberry preserves I've been saving for a special occasion. -
Were you able to log in last night BP? My chosen servers, Lumiel and Zikel had multi-hour queues all day long. I decided to play on Zikel because the queue was only 3 hours instead of 6.... And then a half hour left on the count down it kicked me out and made me start all over again. I wound up playing on a seperate server that had no wait time for a bit, just so I could play some. This morning though I was able to get in without problem and created the rest of my Asmodians on Lumiel, so I am satisfied now.

*opens up a round green door and walks out onto the steps, crossing her hairy feet and enjoying an after-second-breakfast pipe*
What's that you say? Adventure? We don't want any adventures around here, thank you. -
Umm.. NC Soft is a Korean company. Aion is a Korean game. Game Guard is considered acceptable security by Korean MMO manufacturers, that's why it's so common in use by Korean games. I don't get why people would expect anything else. Sure it's pretty much unpopular in the States and Europe, but it has been entirely Korean until now.
Maybe it will be brought back, maybe it won't. The longer it goes without it though, the less likely it will be to be added back in. So all people can really do is keep expressing their concerns and distaste over it. The surest way to make sure Game Guard doesn't come back is to let the people at NC Soft know they'll lose a lot of paying subscribers if it does return.
