Washer fixed? What, do you think I'm made of money here? No.. I'll see what I can do to repair it myself, but if I can't do that, there's not a lot I can do. I sure can't afford to pay to have it fixed. And unfortunately, it's my washer so I can't whine to the landlord to fix it. Later today I'll have to run to the laundromat.. seems I suddenly ran out of dry, clean towels. :P After that, I don't know. I hope I don't have to make it a regular thing, it takes hours out of one of my days.

Yay. So my washing machine decided to go on strike today it seems. I tossed in a load of laundry and went about my business as usual. It's a good thing my utility room is right off my living room for a change. When the washer started to over flow I heard it right away and was able to stop it before it got to out of control. So I only had a small mess instead of a big mess to deal with. Of course, now this means I have to start going to the laundromat again. Yay.

Shhh... Keep it cool, puppy-man. You never know when the fuzz might be listening in.

*looks around nervously*

Why are you being told to stay home today or else? I pretty much agree with you on the other super hero game. The only thing that I felt were improvements were some nice new costume pieces. Being able to pick your powers from (kind of) any of them is a neat idea, but poorly implemented in my opinion. And the questing was just plain annoying. Sadly, it wasn't very much like the pen and paper game it was based on at all.

Hmmm. You are really tempting me to play Aion again puppy. I can probably scrape together enough money for a month's subscription to see how it is again. Most of my characters were on the Asmodean side though.. What server do you play on?

I'm really not interested in the tribble game, but I'm glad people are enjoying it. Look out! the Cling-ons are attacking!

In regards to Aion, I was playing it through beta (I got in under the program when they killed Tabula Rasa) and pre-ordered the collectors edition. So as you might guess, I was pretty impressed with the game. It's really beautiful, the art and creature design is a lot nicer than in many MMOs. The combat system was pretty interesting, with chaining combos making combat more interesting than just mashing keys when abilities were available. The storyline was interesting, though the quests are the familiar old 'go kill x critters and bring me back their toenails'.

So if I like the game so much, why am I not playing? In two words.. gold sellers. The first couple of months when I was playing the game was absolutely drenched in it. Eventually it got to the problem where all of the channels were filled with nothing but constantly scrolling ugly spam and were of no use to anyone. You had to turn them off to see anything else in your chatbox. Unfortunately, since around the mid teens the game starts to be heavily group oriented, that meant you couldn't use those channels to find groups, which they were meant for.

Sadly, the designers were completely caught flat footed by this. Not only were they not able to control the gold spam, some things in the game actively made it easy for the spammers. Like not being able to ignore people's messages in channels, only when they whisper you. I've heard that since I left the game they've done a bunch of stuff to help fight them, but by then I had already quit the game as being unplayble because of it. I'd be interested in going back and giving it another try, but well... I really can't afford another paid game right now.
