[/ QUOTE ]
*hurries to check his secondary powers...*
o yeah! FORCE BOLT FTW!! -
meh i had a good time once the complainers left (was within the first 15-30 mins luckily), had a nice 1 on 1 with crater later <brag mode>which needless to say I won
</bragmode>
neway good fun, just a shame heroes outnumbered villains so much so after a while I just stood around watching rather than fighting cause gankin aint really my thing. -
heh im often around at late night as well and got a char in almost every lvl range :P just gimme a shout at @stagefright
hm, posting this just as i logged off.. blummin 6:30 am already lol -
welcome to the game..
pah forget blasters, controllers rule this place! -
how bout just a turn up timeframe of 19:00-20:00 cause experience kinda learns that when you say assemble at 19:00 you wont be ready till 20:00 neway

The biggest prob is that people order their pets to attack, then do something else while they think the pets take care of the enemy. A good MM always keeps his pets under his watchful eye and knows how he can issue orders on the fly to prevent a fight from getting pearshaped. MMs isnt about "attack", sit back, wait till mob is dead.. that will only get you into some dead pets and ultimately faceplants.
I already made some keybinds before MZ's guide was posted here and they are enough for me. Even if I wanted I cant use those binds due to the lack of available keys :P (i dont have a numpad). I only got commands for goto def, goto agg, goto pas, stay, swap to aggressive, swap to passive and dismiss all. Those binds are all I need to keep my pets under complete control (together with the 3 default macros you get). -

Assault is a must for Robots, without it their attacks kinda suck
[/ QUOTE ]
ever played with fully upgraded bots? I dont have assault and I rip through mobs with ease. Also the right slotting can do wonders for bots
However if you ever decide to get group fly for aerial combat, I suggest you take tactics as well to negate that -acc buff from group fly -
the power i use on duke is air superiority + fly to just take down chasers or the puny ranger that thinks he has a chance blasting me from above..
I just fly to them, air sup them to the ground.. CE and ice patch take care of the rest.. -
Ice Duke - ice/ice tank - Union.. happily splatting stalkers all over the place
-
think indeed for mercs neurotoxic breath is the least feasible of the poison powers, yet it of course still is a useful power. Antitode.. well I'd keep it if you tend to team alot. If you tend to solo I'd suggest you leave this one out.
I dont have mercs (robo/poison) so cant comment much on the mercs.
PS, bout neurotoxic breath, I love it on my robo/poison cause slowed enemies + incendiary missiles... poor enemies :P -

Repulsion Field should be good for PvP, since it can drop toggles and keep melee away from you, but also force bubble can do that too, without the toggle drop.
[/ QUOTE ]
repulsion field might be nice, but unless they fixed it, its still possible to land a few hits between the repulsion "ticks". Those few hits might just be enough to kill you, or if its a toggledrop, drop the field. Force bubble on the other hand has a perma repel around you in a MUCH bigger area. So MY personal suggestion would be to forget bout rep field and get force bubble instead. When i had rep field on my troller i rarely used it. However for those with good experiences with rep field, please continue to use it -
true, but it kinda marks a "victory" for your opponent cause you dont pose a threat anymore

The only problem with Eclipse is the lack of any visual cues that it's running.
[/ QUOTE ]
true, but thats what the handy buff bar is for
and ji, even those first 38 lvls werent that hard once i got dwarf -
oi, cant believe manf hasnt warned me the sneaky git!
count me in if you still got a place (and a date.. that would be nice as well)
(stagefright, 50 ill/ff/psi troller) -
well seeing saturday's one is a no-go for me I'd love to join this one, you already know the build from the saga of faathim tf
, btw this time senzafine would like to try n be there as well, but RL problems might make it tricky (hence him not showing up last tf).
Last time I done it I done it in bout 6 hrs btw. -

I've gone up against the dwarf form a few times with my blaster and whilst they didn't do a great deal of ownage, they are fairly difficult to down.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe own was the wrong word.
Are they infact feasable for pvp might have been a better question.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe it was..I don't do l33t speak...'i' know what i meant...using it as a general term to say that, though they weren't dishing out the damage, downing everyone in sight, they were able to stand there and take a great deal of punishment.
So inferring they are in fact feasible in pvp, at least in dwarf form.
[/ QUOTE ]
they are nice in dwarf form i must admit.. until somebody casts some slow buffs on you whereupon the only thing you can do is just stand there waiting for ages till your attacks recharge while you take a pounding -
I must say I also like the WS pet better (your pet nova really) to the PB pet (kamikaze blobs). Also the mires and using defeated foes to recharge your hp and end is a nice addition to the WS. But on top of it all is the mother of all powers.. eclipse! Words cannot describe how much i love eclipse
. Compared the the PB "ultimate" armor, eclipse can be used in other forms which (if used correctly) can make your nova bout as resilient as your dwarf. However the prob is it needs enemies to activate and thus you first need to find quite a few enemies to pound on your fragile human to activate it.

damn would love to do this but saturdays are always a big no-no for me

Had to use a full tray of inspirations and was about two seconds away from death when finally managed to make it back to the villain base.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I had loads of fun chasing people, its just when they get back to base and stay there. I think a drone got me in the end.
[/ QUOTE ]
Two Masterminds were doing this the other day, and one of them was most wanted. I kept divebombing the base just to annoy them, got half their health off before the Drone finished me
[/ QUOTE ]
yet I also think ganking has to do alot with this behaviour as well. Ive seen it happen once (might be the same 2 MMs) when i was taking duke for a lil pvp rampage in sirens. 2 were staying at the drones sending pets at heroes outside. However I must say that even although dronehugging might be not that brave a tactic, waiting outside the base with bout 8 heroes (which was the case then) doesnt really leave them with a fighting chance as well. So after I found that no backup for them was coming I just left seeing ganking aint exactly my share of fun as well.
I think that unless the major ganking (especially with basecamping) stops, tactics like these will keep being used. -
I'd say corrupters are the AT for you.
[ QUOTE ]
MM - The worst for team play, even as a mastermind on my main EVERYONE goes robots for the dmg output and my God do they get in the way. Superb for solo play or duo's tho.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, you obviously havent seen GOOD MMs at work. The strength of a MM is his ability to actually control his pets. Saying that all these pets get in the way and thus arent useful in teams, kinda shows you never teamed with an illusion controller in CoH (which you have said, you dont have CoH) where pets tend to get in the way WAY more often.
PS. please dont see this last comment as a rant or flame or whatever, its just to point out MMs can be good in teams -
aye also the nice extra toxic dmg which little powers offer protection against is pretty dang handy
-
aye great job all.. so when is nr 4 planned
-
heh grats on completion guys, soz I couldnt make it as well
(at least you'd have a REAL tanker then :P)

Disco: I assume the Raid leaders will have a global channel where we can talk to each other easily, yes? Now we have the feature, let's abuse it for all it's worth
[/ QUOTE ]
yeah I think the global channels can be used nicely to circumvent idiots spamming request channel, or shouting orders while not teamleader. If you just pm a channelname to the teamleaders, you can give orders there which the leaders will then relay to their team.
