yup, always got mad when I finally had enough salvage to craft an item, place it, only to find out i get booted and the item is lost. Petitioned it and got as response "yes, this is a known issue which is being worked on".

dunno if i can make that, thursday (at you guessed it, 5 pm) im going on a long weekend's holiday to ireland with a couple of friends. I'll be back sunday but dunno what time. If im home in time count me in
otherwise i'll just find someone else to farm those mishes
-
while you were away yesterday i also posted on union badgehunters channel and also coming:
Insane Zard - empath
Goldie - empath (iirc)
FireManipulator - fire blaster
judging from the turnout i guess there will be enough to make 2 teams? -
if you use blasters to attack from far sides, PA bombs are enough to take away the aggro
also I always wondered as well if we maybe just though too big and in too high numbers to bring down hami. Dunno if it is still true, but it used to be that the more ppl in the blob, the higher hami's hold resistance. This clearly indicates you arent meant to have so many people in it.
However, the mitos are so strong you can barely scratch em without constant team wipes (with small numbers), which implicates big numbers are needed.
Then again, like you said, what does the hive serve for? When hamidon dies, mitos die as well, so that must be some connection?
Also judging from that topic, there is another way to kill him, the actual designed way from the devs.. indeed the tactic we used to use till now cant be the correct one seeing it relies too much on a specific class. The correct way will always be that each AT has a role to fill together with some neat tricks.
Also if the comparison to hydra is correct... hydra had some special weapons to beat him did he not? So obviously theres some special way to bring down hami. Also why is that abandoned portal corp building there? just for show? i doubt it...
Anybody want to form a team/teams someday to fully explore the hive and see if we find something awkward? -
prob is maintaining the aggro of all those mitos after they spawn and getting team back up to its feet after mass wipe (disregarding possible server crashes
). I also vote for an all out bullrush at the nucleus after 25%.
PS. dont feed the trolls -
well if you do it before thursday 5 pm count me in
lvl 50 ill/ff/psi troller

its not really about that we dont want PvE-ers in a PvP zone.. most PvPers dont mind that. However, those PvE-ers that dont want to PvP, can affect the PvP game, now that is something that annoys most PvPers.
Its different from the "I am forced into a PvP zone and I dont want to PvP!" argument, where you really are FORCED into the zone which I agree shouldnt happen.
These PvE people enter a PvP zone to do mishes out of their own free will. They start to do mishes for the extra xp reward. Complain when PvPers kill them on the way to a mish saying they were only there to do a mish. Well if they just wanted to do a mish they can do it outside a PvP zone, suck it up and accept your defeat.
In fact those people are PvPing because of those mishes. They might not want to actively fight others, but those mishes affect the heroes/villains in that zone with buffs/debuffs. Which affects the PvP game. You can compare it to some sneaky defender/corrupter in the back who keeps buffing/debuffing.
So the complains bout "I was only there for a mish, dont attack me" arent really valid. As long as they affect the PvP game, they are PvPing. If the buffs were to be removed then the complains get a bit more valid. Just that 10% extra xp is all part of the reward for the risk of being PvPed.
Also, there are comments "well do the mishes yourself as well then". Problem with this is, even though you get sk/ex to a certain lvl, you can still outlvl the pvp mish contact. If one of the sides only has higher lvl players who are exemped, none of them can do the mishes to counter it. So another solution will be that the exemping and sking will also work for the contact so pvpers can counter the buffs.
Just my 2 inf -
think test raids have proposed quite alot of times and I myself have always been up for it. Having putting alot of thought and effort in the raids post-ED earlier, I will be there to help and try to bring him down/weaken him.
PS. @Tainted Greek: the bobthedemon part was a bit of a sarcastic remark as he seemed to know everything bout hami raids just cause he had 2 HOs and flamed everybody that thought otherwise -
big grats all, glad that i could be of help with bein cameraman and gettin-last-glowie-thus-missing-ding man :P
i'll post the unedited demos (1 of the fight, 1 where i get last glowie and you see a faint glow in the background as you guys ding) and get to editing later today seeing i forgot that when my system broke down i also lost all my editing tools.

Stay tuned for the edited copies -
or first rez and then recall friend so you can use lvl 7 to 3slot your rez. Other pool powers you might consider are hasten, fitness pool (though shouldnt really be that necessary if you put some end reducers in your powers) and of course your travel power. Personally i like to keep 10 and 14 or 12 and 14 (depending on at which lvl i like to pick a prim/sec power) for my travel power. However i never got too far on empaths so cant really give you build-specific advice. However if you wanna be a good dedicated empath, skip your secondary powers (attacks) so you can get almost every prim in the set.

villain class.. villain rank... its all good
-
Hamidon = Hamidon
Mitochondria = Hamidon
its an unique villain class which cant be compared to others
anyway, retreating after the spawn wont work because the damage they deal is so high that a team that is in the blob will just die straight away. Also you need to check where it spawns cause otherwise the 2nd wave will just get shredded thanks to mitos -
theres been some discussing of this already, check out this topic: clicky
it might resolve some facts.
Also like I said I would know how you will handle the 2nd mito spawn, if you want to let em spawn from an all-ranger team, after they drop the PA team will have a helluva lot harder time to regain aggro from all those mitos cause theyre spread out. -
elec always fits nicely with a stormie, however i guess rad would be great especially if you get freezing rain to have both -def and -res. Also depends if you want to do pvp or pve. In pvp maybe sonic would be nice seeing -res debuffs are pretty rare (rarer than -def at least). Also freezing rain + sonic attacks can totally cripple dmg res. I once teamed with a storm/sonic in warburg, and this inv tank just went down with ease
-
better allow team entrance to your base just in case
-
count me in bud.. you know how to reach me
-
meh.. we could always pause it for a mo
-
yeah, Jail Bird - Exploration badge.
From the 'hall' where you start, at the cellblock side there is a stairway leading up. Follow that stairway to the top floor, then turn around and run to the far side cell. Go in and admire the shiny badge -
same ere, nuttin beats a full-fury rampage
teamin with my trusty rad/kin corrupter, almost every hit i do is a 1shot, so just plowing through the mobs

ill be there again if we can finish before the xmas bonanza

fire tankers were good at taking and holding aggro, but shieldswise they were lowest afaik, but must admit i dont know the i6 numbers of fire tanks
it even says so when you pick it in the power description -

i normally keep sup invis + group invis running while safely in my bubble.. this to prevent me from losing all my stealth powers when somebody manages to detoggle sup invis.

like i said, i only stack em to prevent a complete invistoggledrop -
might be able to make it with my lvl 16 troller (earth/storm) though dont pin me down on it
