It would make sense in the game though imo, 1 villain is on a rampage. He kills heroes and gains bounty till he is most wanted. This means he got a price on his head. Once a hero "arrests" him, his bounty is collected and he needs to work up a new rep (bounty).
[/ QUOTE ]
From what I can figure out, the bounty figure for each player is figured out relative to level and reputation (and possibly some other factors) - this makes more sense than your alternative; if Lord Recluse were to get ganked by Mynx and Valkyrie, that wouldn't suddenly make him any less of a threat than he was before. The way things are worked out now is as fair as it could practically be. It's not as if bounty is a major part of PvP - it's only available in one PvP zone, after all - it's an incentive for new players to get into PvP, if anything, and it certainly doesn't warrant this much discussion about it.

mh true.. dont really care much bout bounty or its whole system though, just some thoughts if it had to be changed how to change it. I just go to the zones for some pvp fun, not the rep, not the bounty, just the chance to bash an unsuspecting player over the head -
people seem to think that that green cloud is used to indicate one big shiny target for all to attack. It all depends on the team who to debuff first.. AoE heavy, dont do the minions, "boss first, rest later" i'd say lieuts. Just study your team, try to find out what their targetting is like, and debuff according to that.

Stagefright
lvl 50
controller illusion/forcefield
main (heroic) suit: light yellow with dark blue swirls, yellow glowing eyes
combat suit: dark red with white swirls, red lightnin eyes
mystical, formal suit: black robe with light blue accents, flaming eyes. -
doubt it... cause that would prolly make people want a WS rather than PB
-
maybe I put myself a bit wrong there, like I said, exploits like these will come up but it was a li'l idea to start the ball rolling.

oooooooooh new pdp looks nice, looks a bit like our VG base's dancefloor

if I can manage to get out of bed (you know my insomnia phil
) I'll see if I can bring stage
and ji, cmon.. phil already knows bout WS ownage and you can't possibly beat me in tutoring him -
well if you want to do that to rep, change the rep system as well. First of all, make rep something useful instead of just a number. Second of all, make rep team friendly. Only the real damage dealers get rep atm. When I play with my tank, I rarely deal the killing blows as my role is to prevent enemies dealing those blows to my teammates. However thanks to that I only get bout 0.2 rep (or so) per kill, so after a night of PvPing my rep will never be higher than 20 or such. On the other hand, if you kill yourself you will get alot more rep, easily gaining it along the way.

Enemy - Short Hand
Clockwork - Clocks
Devouring Earth - DE
Freakshow - Freaks
Circle of Thorns - CoT (I'm surprised how few people know that one or I'm the only one using it)
Nemisis - Nems
Inspirations are often referred to by their colours
EG
want reds? - do you want a rage inspiration
need blues - I need a catch a breath
also
CAB - Catch A Breath
Train Mish - Mission started by boarding a train that take place in a seperate zone - normally lots of enemies and good for "Drek-ing"
[/ QUOTE ]
Dont forget these:
PP - paragon protector (crey bosses for those that havent met em yet)
MoG - moment of glory, often used in the sense of "dont bother attacking that PP, you wont hit him" or "dont worry bout my health, he cant hit me anyway and you cant heal me"
PS - Phase Shift
Phased - being in phase shift / intangible
quant - enemy with a quantum array gun, often used by a kheldian (WS/PB - see original post) to indicate you should kill him first as they dont like the taste of dirt in the morning.
void - void seeker/slayer/stalker, also has a quantum gun and even more deadly
now 2 others:
AS - assassin strike, the signature attack of a stalker, often a 1-shot kill
OP - original poster, the one who started a thread
OT - offtopic, placing a message in a thread that has nothing or little to do with the actual subject. -
maybe an idea to make a global "trade/marketplace" channel?

on the nuke topic, my fav chain is (after some practice with diff chains): dwarf tp in, mire, after taking the alpha, detoggle dwarf, eclipse (the mire ensures you dont need accs in eclipse), sunless mire, quasar, pop a blue insp, stygian circle, unchain essence for the survivors.
Seeing you got a human/dwarf build, hasten would be a good choice. Especially if you fight enemies with slows in their attacks, you'll be pinned down in dwarf form.
Like double said, get gravity well fast, it's a hold and a pretty good one. Seeing you dont have the power to take a quantum blast to the chin, you can use it to lock them down and pummel them. Once you get dwarf, you can take 1 or 2 shots from the quantum but nr 3 or 4 will kill you.
I dont have mire slotted for damage, it just isnt worth it. Its a buff, not an attack, slot it for recharges ASAP. After that some accs are nice for when you really need to hit em with mire (especially when you fight enemies with acc debuffs).
Nother note on the gravity well issue, a tactic i've found useful vs voids/quantums and later on malta sappers, is to pick starless step. Find the bugger, use starless step to tp him next to you and use gravity well to hold him without having to worry bout the rest of the mob's aggro or getting close enough to use gravity well.
Nebulous form doesnt need a jump enhance imo. You jump pretty high with it already, and it isnt useful as a travel power as it only lasts 60 secs. It's just phase-shift with the nice bonus of temp (limited) sj.
finally, bout the choice of powers on the later lvls, my picks were 32) quasar, 35) stygian return 38) eclipse 41) quasar. Suggest you pick the powers based on your situation at that time. I always had trouble finding someone to rez you when i got 35 and I soloed alot in that time. So to me, a self-rez was handier than quasar at the moment. You'll be crazy to skip eclipse at 38, as it is (as you will find out) "t3h ub3r pwr!!".
Chain I often use if i dont feel like nuking, is the same attack chain as I said when I was nuking, but replace the nuke with swap to nova form. Combine it with 2 pets, and you AoE the enemies into oblivion with the resistance of a tank (but without mez resist
). These days I often team with 1 or 2 other shades, if we all got our pets out, we dont even need a tank cause we kill em so fast they dont get a chance to fight back
.
But as I say for most kheld builds, find out yourself based on your playstyle. Just because one build works for 1 player, doesnt mean it isnt rubbish for another player. Always remember: respecs are your friend -
nice idea TG, maybe i'll come n spread some Union love as well

So, there's still a risk-free reward system for PvP in Siren's Call. Attack a target. Win, get bounty. Fail, lose nothing. Yes?
[/ QUOTE ]
true, already said that a change in that would be nice as well. However for the rest of pvp, there is no reward, hence the lack of risk is justified as well imo -
[ QUOTE ]
Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but, in the PvP Zones, you get xp for defeating other PCs, but you take no debt for being defeated.
[/ QUOTE ]
well, seeing you asked for it, I'll correct youfor killing PCs, you get no xp whatsoever. You only get reputation which is rather useless atm. In sirens you get the bonus of bounty, in BB if you get killed you lose any meteor shards you are carrying, in warburg you lose your rocket codes (i believe). Dont think you lose anything in sirens.
Being risk vs reward.. seeing rep is kinda useless, dont think there's an actual reward. I do agree doing all the hard work with only somebody else to reap the (although useless) reward, is annoying. Of course bounty, which is useful, should be considered in a diff way. Maybe implement it that if you get killed, your bounty gets transferred to the one that killed you (or.. equally spread based on amount of damage).
Though with that system I see exploits coming up. It would however keep increasing the risk if you want to save up for those shiny SOs (reward).

*resumes the chase*

now thats just griefing... -
hm, spamming holds and flooring regen ftw? :P
-
just a lil checkup, what enemies were you fighting? Because some enemies can become intangible themselves (carnies for instance)
-
well.. khelds got so many powers, you need to specialize your builds a bit. Seeing every player is different, I, personally, suggest you find out the build that best fits your playstyle. Just remember, respecs are your friends

The duke shall be there (reckon you mean today wednesday as the fight night, or just weekly?)
btw rock, are you psychic or sumwhat, cause I was bout to PM you to ask if you were ever to host another great event like this and then the thread popped up lol -
still would be funny to have a load of heroes being instant-killed by lusca
oh, and on the topic of GM lvls since the "no really... they dont have a level.. they DONT, understand?!" patch, iirc their hp is still their "original" lvl. However in dealing damage and taking it, the monsters are sked/exemped to the attacker's lvl.
