  1. The set works 'good enough' when IO'd to the soft cap. These changes will make huge improvements for the QoL for up and coming EA characters.

    It was needed, and I hope it makes the set 'pretty good' amongst it's peers prior to IOs.

    The form shifting animations happening quicker would add a lot more utility to Kheldians.

  3. Peacebringers could use some tweaks, but then again, so could Stalkers, in many's opinions.

    As for doing all that 'before' doing such-and-such a project, I think that depends on a lot of other factors.

    Hey, at least Energy Aura is getting buffed!

    And that's the unfortunate truth. I'm afraid we'll just be given the revamped costumes with a cape or two added, despite overwhelming 'do not want' feedback from the community, because they've already spent the $$$/development time.

    But what I'd prefer is simply scrapping the project for a CoT revamp and simply making them player costume parts. In fact, that sounds like an excellent idea.

  6. Meh, PvP IOs are sooo not worth the effort for any of my characters.

    I've gotten several characters to god-like mode via IOs, and none of them use PvP IOs or purples. Heck, my perma-doms don't use purples.

    Sure, I wouldn't mind a Panacea +HP/Recovery in Health alongside a Miracle and Numina +Regen/Recov, but considering the amount of godlike you can achieve using just rare IOs, it would be the last thing I would slot.

    As something to work for after completely IOing with standard sets like Obliteration, Thunderstrike, etc. and fully incarnating your character, sure, it's nice to have something to work for. But as something you 'need to have'. It's totally not 'necessary' in any way.
  7. Well...being from the Repeat Offenders, nothing rolls quite like a team full of Defenders or Corrupters buffing each other to be tank mages, but...

    Blasters still and will always have a larger damage cap, so even amongst a team of tank mages, Blasters can add something no other AT can, even more damage.

    Hear hear! I hope with the new team (the one that chose to make Fitness inherent), they'll come up with something. Stalkers are decent, but yeah, the fact that other ATs can do nearly everything they can do and better doesn't really bode well for them.

    I am all about AT parity and think it's silly to reject a player because they chose a specific AT. That part is dumb. But the fact that they slightly underperfom compared to other ATs (also hotly debated), I would love to see them be given that definitive/desired niche in a team enviroment.
  10. I've played Dual Pistols and Archery to 50 with Kinetics, and both are very, very much win.

    Go Archery if you want to play 'safely' and stay at range.

    Or my preference, pop a purple or two before every mob and wade directly into them with Dual Pistols and pop your Hail of Bullets.

    Either are tons of fun.

  12. Correction: no one in broadcast often does actual missions on Freedom.

    Most of the teaming happens through global channels these days.

    Right click in the chat tab and click 'Channel Search'

    The most used that I am aware of are Freedom TF, Freedom, BMT - Freedom, and RF2009, etc.

    You can also join a teaming group like the Repeat Offenders (see signature below) and we team all of the time on Freedom.
  13. Ever since the /hide feature was implemented, I don't think I've had a single character available on /search.

    People are out there, but many, like me, make use of the hide feature to avoid being sent tells asking to join said farm and the like.
  14. I found out the same thing testing it a long time ago.

    Glad they removed the unnecessary penalty to further deter it's use, but for masterminds, it still remains a not very useful power. For a themed Thinkerbell character, I suspect teammates will still usually complain that the power user 'turn it off!' The only place I can see it finding use is in a small regular teammate environment where the group enjoys and uses it for 'fun'.

    Still, Robotics mastermind with Group Fly and their robots using jetpacks provides at least a few minutes of unbridled enjoyment.

  16. Put some investment in a character with IOs and anything can become effective/brutal/awesome.

    Many of the 'power' characters revolve around Defender/Corrupter/Controller sets that buff damage/debuff resistance in a team environment, but even then, Scrappers still have a very useful role on the team of grabbing the aggro of potential dangerous targets and being darn near unkillable/requiring little babysitting.

    Assuming you start aquiring some cash, I would slot the Achiller Heel -Res proc in your attacks on those weapon based characters (after 3 damage SOs) as it will nicely boost your damage. They're pricey, but it's something to work towards.

    Praetoria is definetly a much more fun solo experience, at least for me, as it involves lots of moral choices and the story element is more involving. Tons of ambushes though, and often I'll drop the difficulty down to -1 even, just so I can solo at a nice relaxing pace rather than fighting to survive.

    These Incarnates have killed the rest of the game. Your either farming or doing incarnates.

    Its a cool system if you have 1 or 2 or even 3 level 50s. But when you have 16 and I imagine people are running 2 accounts how many they have. It can be very painful.

    They might as well put in a mission where I have to go kill 10 wolves and bring back the furs for a sword or something. When the game first came out they bragged how they didn't do these type of things. Sadly it seems they do now.
    Well, they could have made them just use threads encouraging level 50s to be played in the entire range of game content. Instead, they incentivized them to only play these two trials over and over. Do you want to do a STF? No, thank you, that doesn't get me any closer to my shineys.

    Been waiting since they started customization for this one thing. Every character I have takes Hasten (since it's such a game changing power), so every character has to deal with glowing hands regardless of all other customization/theme. It really just kinda seems silly after awhile to always have orange glowing hands.
