Playing a KM/WP atm. The PBAoE knockdown is nice for keeping them in your +Regen aura and not attacking you.
-
And included with Going Rogue, the game box states that it *requires* you pay a monthly fee. If you want to have everything that is included with Going Rogue, simply pay the monthly fee as stated.
However, you can play a significant portion of that for free now, which is a huuuge improvement over playing nothing at all. -
Null the Gull would be a nice feature. That said, I suppose not all sets have to be 'especially effective' for all teaming environments, and Energy Blast could stay as is. I love it solo.

Quote:Sounds like a fine list.Having played this game since inception, I just felt like addressing specific powers that have issues that seem so obvious that it downright irritates me. Feel free to jump in and contribute.
Dimension Shift/Black Hole/Sonic Cage/Detention Field - Dimension Shift & Black Hole in particular - Make them all toggles. The inability to 'turn them off' is the most problematic part of these powers, causing slowdowns as you wait *tap tap tap* for the intangible to wear off.
Snipes - *shrug* I always thought they should do more damage, to be worth stopping and using for that 'one shot' alpha strike. Oh well, it's a power I skip in leiu of something better.
Time Bomb - "Clone the Omega Maneuver and put it in it's place!" Very good idea, either that or I really liked someone's 'make it a toggle that explodes when you turn it off' idea.
Serum - *shrug* It kinda fits the theme of Mastermind powers having the 'not super useful, but it's something' level 18 power pick.
Dark Pit - I think giving it standard accuracy would go a long way to making it more useful. But at least with IOs, you can at least 'make it work'.
Ignite - I actually make ample use of Ignite as is, and find it quite useful. Makes a nice use of synergy with specialized power picks and/or if someone on the team has slows, or you just want a burning patch to hide in that puts fear in the hearts of those who want to kill you.
Targetting Drone - Agree, a damage buff would be nice to make up for the lack of build up. -
Quote:What about the proper use of being an Energy Blaster? I tend to find they either have to a) choose their teaming situation wisely since they have no choice whether or not they knockback or b) simply knockback mobs while 'doing their best' not to knock them too far from the tank/brute/scrapper who is trying to keep them in their taunt aura.No.
The attack does not drive melee users insane. The improper use of said power does.
I agree the proper use of powers will make a huuuuge difference in how knockback plays, but in a fair share of teaming situations having no choice between using AoEs and not knocking back can cause a lot of problems (like when a Brute/Scrapper is playing the tank role and is struggling to keep aggro).
I agree with shunning the rampant dissent against knockback in general (it can be useful), but I too agree that certain powersets are problematic for a lot of teaming situations. A -KB mag IO would provide a nice way for players to choose whether or not they want knockdown or knockback. -
Quote:Just make an exception for Hasten. I'm sure the complaining will be minimal/non-existant if only Hasten gets special treatment for either a Null the Gull option or some other way to turn off the VFX.If it is on a list, it needs to be on a very short list, or near the top of the current list of things to do. People have complained about the animation and fx of hasten for as long as I have been on these boards. When power customization was originally done the lack of pool powers in the list really sucked. It is long past time to add the pool powers, and I am lost as to why the devs can't see that.

A size increase would definetly be very helpful. I know our network has often ran into the SG cap. We opened a new SG on Exalted and already we've completely filled it up, with 6-8 alts of my own alone in it.
I suppose you can always just make another SG, but the theoretical 48 characters from a single account being ~1/3 of the SG cap is a good point. -
Hmm...identical as everyone else pirate costume that can be easily near replicated in the costume creator for $7.50 or a Beam Rifle powerset. Something about this pricing doesn't appeal.
I 'might' have been interested at 40 points. -
Defense buffs are really easy to come by via IOs and other team buffs.
Resistance buffs are rare and hard to replicate. -

Quote:Yes please! I always avoid/skip nukes with crashes anymore because I find retoggling for 15 seconds afterwards very fun with the speed of teaming these days. Sure, I can have enough +Recovery to make the End crash nigh unimportant, but I will still have to retoggle everything, and most likely will still be retoggling as the team demolishes the entire next spawn.Care of the latest dev chat highlights:
What do you all think of the idea? I think we'd like it, given past Blaster discussions, but I am curious to see what everyone else thinks.

Anyone else find the slapstick brawl sound a little silly?
Shadow Maul now sounds more fitting for Princess Peach than it does an Undead Nethermatter powered villain. -
Time/Everything, no, literally.
I was saving names before i21 came out and ended with about 12 cocepts for Time. And yes, I will play them all. :P
Also, a Carnival themed Dark/Psy Corr, and maybe I'll get around to making a Regen Brute. -
My Dual Pistols/Kinetics Corrupter. He's just that fun.
Two lucks + run into mob + fulcrum + Hail of Bullets, rinse & repeat. -

Quote:I'm pretty sure several iconic ninja characters used both titanic sized weapons 'and' were stealthy. It's statements like this that make me dislike powerset proliferation. Every time a new melee set comes out, people like to pretend that it is perfectly logical to completely disregard the actual concept of the ATs and give them to all four melee ATs. Stalkers are supposed to stealthy. How are you supposed to be stealthy while lugging around a MASSIVE weapon like a Railroad Crossing? I don't even WANT to know what orifice you think you're gonna hide it in!

Quote:I support your ideas!I think there should be two options: the current salvage-based option, and the ability to just outright create the IO using a certain amount of Inf or Reward Merits. People who like collecting salvage and researching the most cost-efficient recipes to craft (either for resell, or for themselves) have their complex system, while those who just want to make the blasted thing have a single value to shoot for. Best of both worlds, IMO.

All great ideas. We don't need IOs at every single level. Every 5 would help consolidate supply/demand.

Quote:This is a great idea to help fix the 'no recipes available' problem for the mid levels.I guess we get to define our own problems and then solve them.
Too much inf! Not enough midlevel recipes! For 10 million inf you can change a recipe to any level in the same "band" (1-25, 26-40, 41-50) and for 10 million inf you can change from the bottom of one band to the top of another or vice versa (25 to 26, 41 to 40, whatever). So for 30 million you can turn a LoTG level 50 into a LoTG level 26: 50-41, 41-40, 40-26. For another 10 million you can turn it into a level 25. Some people would pay the extra.
I also wouldn't mind seeing 'common' salvage sold at a store. Beyond that, the market serves me just fine, I think.
I do reallly miss the old market UI though. -
'That' is one of the Kheldian changes I am interested in. I look forward to shortened form swapping.

Quote:I always thought if they could just plug the exploits 'and' keep the incentive, the AE would thrive.Pretty pointless and too late.
The problems (and I don't just mean farming) with AE and the utter lack of development have pretty much made the whole thing pointless.
Regular AE missions giving LESS XP than nearly any other FARM also probably won't do much to attract new blood.
I had a blast (and do) running AE arcs, but it's hard to motivate people to play with you with all the difficulties involved 'and' less rewards.
