previous tell targets *might* be doable if you know how to make a popmenu, but i dont think it will be possible just yet
i honestly dont remember what happened to the chat channel color changer (i pretty much never used it anyway)
i think there is an option to do sticky channels (i personally hate it), but im fairly sure its there
easy health/menu reference can already be taken care of, and to make it bearable for your suggestion under that, just make a bind to toggle it between normal and show all
keybinds saved across toons, thats easy, just save keybinds then load keybinds on the toons you want it on and its done, not that hard to do a couple mouse clicks
the last thing, cancelable buffs, thats already in the works and will be out with i21 -
Quote:no, basically anything with a melee tag on it wont take range enhancesDoes "cone" attacks include stuff like Shadow Maul, which is written up as though it were a cone, but has a very short range?
It seems to me that going from 7' to 8' might actually be sort of noticeable in the "almost-in-range" fights I seem to end up in.
also technically pbaoes can get range if you slot centriole HOs but the range enhancement doesnt seem to do anything -
i usually do a lot of my villain AE in cap since thats the central hub of villainside

the only "bad" things i think of the new tutorial is the fact that you dont have to actually do anything in the fight with the giant shivan, you just wait long enough and vanguard jets will do all the work for you
i like the new tutorial because its faster and it allows me to make hero ATs on redside
and yes you can skip the tutorial after you have played through it at least once -
Quote:you *could* always make use of the PPD khelds and recolor them (if possible)Captives becoming Allies or Enemies once rescued: I recently added what I intended to be a Peacebringer and a Warshade into one of my arcs. They would start in human form, surrounded by Void Seekers, and upon rescue, they could help you out. Well, the only Kheldians in the AE creator are in their Nova and Dwarf forms. If I could use something similar to my first suggestion, they could activate and morph into another form, and then attack you or join you. This could even be triggered by a dialogue tree that depends on your answer.
the LTs randomly change into nova and the bosses have dwarf (and sometimes light) forms
this only shows the PB side of things though, the closest you would get to human WS would prolly be council galaxies (romulus the warshade is also an actual WS, but i think he is a LT/boss based on diff/team size) -
i think from the post WN made about it on the beta boards, is that every custom critter is being replaced by cimerorans (dev choice, hall of fame, the works)
edit: here is the bug thread on the beta boards for AE -

Quote:rikti hidden lvl is 50 (ive done comparisons on their HP)Right - although lower level characters will have a tougher time due to their enhancement values not being as good, and having over-all less tools available (poorer attack chain, less able to defend against what the mobs can do)...
Also, I belive most invasion mobs have a hidden level of about 30. It mostly governs what they drop when defeated.
most everything else is 25 i think (havent really done much comparing on their hp) -
Quote:/this, LG and barracuda sf are the only ones which really require a specific thing (mm for cuda and holds (usually troller or dom) for LG)I don't generally remember seeing any calls asking for a specific powerset. But generally, I tend to ignore and "need ______" requests that aren't for Lady Grey or Barracuda anyway.
LRSF and STF are also significantly easier if you have at least 1 melee type to hold aggro
overrall though most things do not require anything like that though -

Quote:i usually do this as well, the debuffs/DoT from entanglement is so minimal it would take a whole league worth of poeple to do noticeable amounts, the most entanglement debuffs ive ever had at once was 3 maybe 4 and since the one melee toon i ran keyes on has ageless for debuff resistance, it did basically nothingExcept it doesn't force people to spread out. People just ignore it. Given the choice between ignoring it and moving away on my Scrapper with no ranged attacks, guess what I'm going to do. Since ignoring it has yet to get me killed, I'm going to continue ignoring it, as does pretty much everyone else from what I've seen. So why have it at all, if people keep ignoring it?
i only advocate removing entanglements not because its too gimmicky or whatnot, but because its pointless and does essentially nothing except add screen clutter (popups on scrren shouting entanglement shift and a timer till next entanglement shift is just so much extra clutter) -
ive actually never really liked the smoke flash power, the rech is real low, end cost is very high, and it doesnt really seem to do much of anything for the ninja
i have heard that the crits they get with smoke flash do unresistable dmg, but i have not been able to confirm this (poeple reported testing this on RWZ dummies although the dummies regen too fast for 1 mm to kill it) -

Quote:fair enough, confuse isnt everyones cup o tea lol. i personally love confusing things and watching them kill each other (ive gone through entire mishs without killing a single thing just because i was bored and i could lol)see above the quote for explanation about Mass Confuse
and i along with you really like Terrify
if you wouldnt mind posting the build i would certainly appreciate having a look, i find looking at others builds really help my creativity to find alternate solutions to my own creations
well heres my build, and just for the consideration, even if you dont want to use mass confuse, you can get soem good set bonuses out of the confuse sets (6 slot purp confuse set gives you 5% ranged def, and 6 slot malaise illusions gives 3.13% ranged def too along with some typed)
ah yeah, i think i been confusing it with the dark miasma versionCode:| Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1385;654;1308;HEX;| |78DA65936B6FD25018C74FB988B03140C40DD84019DBB86C05A2AF9D0B302519668| |989D728D6D1644DB090B633CEFB07F0FACAAFE07BAFDFC27BF485B72FE025EA66BC| |2CF5E9F31C10D326EDAFFDF7DFFFF39C9E73EA672B838C5D996542A0DC9274BD516| |99F5654C9686B9EFD92B1A2492DE6618C257A72A3DC560DADDD12EB8ADAEC3E24FF| |BD9ED37569A56588F38AACAD769F42357559D664D510BB37BEC536641CE8C872338| |4B735F58CA22BA7949662ACDA95002A0BB2D494357D59E9C4AA1D6549AC2DC98DBA| |A41B56A55E0723D0EE049CBB9D8C1FA69B5D70305662DB2E12CE2346CE112E23629| |7106B8EDE578CDD6196340B4102492EA1862EC73C612FC25525EC43FC80AB93DB9D| |F73121F61031FA80700F91B88BD8035E37B7BB4F62C2A613840662F37182849803B| |B87DB3DC750F21D261C420C1E41048F2252E0F562F3A6C39BC78239C234611D6C03| |3C6F20470919C45096304579938871C8F3531EF37B51FA09D7002F11F82F9BA30C2| |D877889D06B708FB12DAF082F115B5F107E619E1F4A84294F0847044B9AD9609661| |08DE44F8DC44E84D00A4612E0D93548172515E2EFA01A5C43BC27BC48EB7843788D| |F50348EF36BBAE3B7B083F475C20DC4D435C25544EE26220475C7F8A0C7789341C1| |6AB2144654A18B24EF22B98686EDDF09DF08EBD4C557C41F484D717BEA39FEB6F16| |7842784C788F453C48683D6B8659F2862479322A14098A1A6A76989C3EFCF707BE6| |1126646965666949666949E6689DC6C19EE783CBF3C18511A52062140C22CF13E99| |B02051528B6407925AA15057B914F52314D7BC0D5B7CD4C38D8824D5974F5F61D13| |5049591E6ACCF4067BDBCCFCE80359E8777EB2299FFB9583388C2FFDD26DFC53455| |B17399B52B229BB6CCA4E9BF217A166F671| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

i personally like terrify because it doesnt just add some soft control its also a great dmg power and does a good amount of -tohit
now i also ask why you skipped mass confuse because its a great control power (one of the few hard controls that mind has)
if you want another suggestion i can post the build i have for my mind/fire -
i dont feel i could rank toons in particular since i have a lot of cool toons across the spectrum
LIKE: mm, corr, controllers (some), doms (some), brutes, VEATs (all kinds)
OK: scrappers, WS, tank
DISLIKE: defender, PB, blaster, stalker
the OK group borders on like and dislike, i have a few toons in those categories which i enjoy playing, but sometimes i wish they were other ATs (such as my spine elec scrapper whose AOE dmg output is amazing, but i wonder if he could be better as a brute), the WS i have is very enjoyable, but it really is a different beast than most of the other ATs -
i personally dont like most hero ATs
tankers are too low dmg and i get near same surviveability on a brute
scrappers get about same dmg as a brute but lower caps (lower dmg cap, lower resist cap, lower hp cap)
defenders are too low dmg for me but i like the offense/debuff combo so i have lot of corrs
blasters are too much of a glass cannon for me, they have almost no mitigation except for pure dmg and what you build
PBs because they are gimped compared to WS (i like WS a lot more)
i think the only villain AT that im kinda meh on is stalkers since most of those sets i can just make a brute anyway -
Quote:the biggest complaints right now are as mentioned the mac client not being ready at all, and the paragon market prices since those have not been commented on at all so far (or changed)Honestly, nothing currently on Beta, bugs or whatnot, seem any different than EVERY OTHER RELEASE since Day 1 launch. If you expect no issues for a release, I got a bridge to sell you.
As long as the game loads and doesn't cause any spontaneous hardware fires, it'll be released as-is and fixed along the way. But with the quote I had earlier regarding "end of the year", there is no telling what time frame they are actually shooting for. Late 3rd quarter = end of the year. Mid or early 3rd quarter doesn't. -
Quote:miracle and numi procs do not work the same way that the panacea proc doesWhat happens if you put the Miracle, Numina, and Panacea in it? If it Fires once when you drop it then again every 10 seconds AoE, that would potentially be very interesting ?
slotting miracle and numi procs into triage beacon or spirit tree will not have ANY effect except granting their power to the caster ONCE when they summon the thing
the panacea is the only exception that ive seen in regards to how procs work on pseudopets -
Quote:burn is also better on a brute because the taunt aura will help keep foes inside the lingering burn patch, on scrappers it makes them run like crazyBurn would be useful, due in part to its massive AoE damage, very nice single target damage, and quick recharge. Plus the lasting DoT makes its DPA pretty high. The added redraw may not affect you as much, especially if you only use burn every 10 - 15 seconds. That'll be about every 2 - 3 chains of claws.

Quote:entanglement is isnt a debuff aura thing its like a mapwide thingI like the Keyes trial, but there are a few things that miff me. Dealing with those would be rather encouraging and I think would make the raid more popular:
~Reduce the number of gimmicks. I like the Obliteration Beam, so that's welcome to stay. Same with the computer/recharge bit. His debuff aura and/or Entanglement is probably the best nomination for getting cut. I'm not even sure what those are supposed to do precisely.
the entanglement basically says if you are alpha entangled you suffer from X from each beta entangled player your near (like within melee range)
the stuff entanglement does to you is so minimal its barely noticeable and prolly why most poeple have no idea what it actually does
it does a minor DoT (like ticks of 4 or 5 energy dmg), small amounts of -def, -resist, -tohit, -recov, and -regen (as mentioned the numbers are so minimal they are hardly noticeable, especially with debuff resistance from self or from the ageless destiny), and it only even applies if your standing near opposite entanglements, if everyone is moving around and your rarely standing near anyone, then no it will do literally nothing -
Quote:with it being open beta now, but still numerous bugs being found, i would have to say mid to late september with how things are currently progressingWith all the recent events (Sales of Costume Boosters stopping next Monday, downtime for hardware upgrade) I'm thinking we might be looking at early September... like maybe the Devs announce at PAX that I21: Freedom will launch on Tuesday, September 6th!
Who's with me?

Quote:i personally dont have any problems with the new tutorial, but other bugs such as AE and the stealth power in energy aura need to be looked at(Even more...) System wide bugs have been added to AE, issues with parts in the new costume creator, dissatisfaction with the new tutorial, discussions over the stealth in Brute Energy Aura, and no update pricing in the Paragon Market make it seem like incredible folly to push I21 live at this point.
i also agree that the paragon market pricing needs to be adjusted
if these few issues are fixed though the late sept early oct guess is prolly not too far off
