ill also agree that it depends on your build and how you want to use the character, technically you could skip most ALL of your primary except for the one your forced to take at lvl 1 lol (there are poeple who do that too for extra challenge)
-
on my street justice/regen brute i am planning on skipping heavy blow and possibly taunt (he will be a very scrapperish brute)
my combo builder chain is initial strike, rib cracker, shin breaker since the rech on the powers base is 4 sec, 6 sec and 8 sec respectively
while rib cracker by itself is not a huge debuff, you can add an achilles proc to shin breaker which you could do a total of 27.5% resist debuff, if you have enough rech you could get the rib cracker debuff to stack -
Quote:EBs arent too much tougher than most bosses, just with more hp, the only ones which are a tad tougher than bosses are usually AVs which are bumped down to EBs if your team/diff is small/low enoughA character I respect as much as Katie needs to be kept as far away from Incarnate trials and lore as possible.
And GM reward has long been out of whack with their difficulty. 5000xp from defeating Babbage, last time I ran Synapse, 6000 approx. for a boss. EBs and GMs both need a comb over, as neither are really worth their commesurably higher effort, but GMs especially.
i do agree the reward for GMs is kind of pitiful, outside of the badge a solo GM kill is only worth about 23,000 inf and small chunk of prestige and 2 merits (except for seed of hami which is worth 5 merits), based on the inf reward a GM is worth about 2 lvl 50 bosses. if a GM was say raised to the amount of an AV (approx 10x what they are currently worth), it might be worth to go after them again (the amount of xp they give might have to be lower due to poeple trying to farm them for lvls) -
well it is a little grindy, which is why i dont participate in trials all the time now, i mostly tfs and other non trial stuff and just convert shards when convenient
currently i have 2 pools of 50s, those which have alphas slotted up to tier 4 and those which are not alpha to tier 4, once they are alpha to tier 4 i start taking them on incarnate trials to work on other slots, before i do that though i usually convert extra shards to threads and then do threads to xp to help unlock the slot faster
the more you run the trials however the faster you will unlock upper tier incarnates (my main has had to run all the trials quite a bit for badges and atm he has a tier 4 alpha, tier 4 judgement, tier 4 interface, tier 4 destiny, and 5 tier 4 lores), most of my other toons which casually run the trials when i feel like doing them have tier 4 alphas, and then usually get up to at least tier 3 in the non alpha slots -
Quote:trapdoor will never spawn above EB lvl cause most of the toons ive run through the incarnate intro ran with AVs turned onNope Trapdoor most certainly is not the weakest AV in the game. That distinction belongs to those chumps in Death From Below. After them I'd say Hopkins is on the weak side and then I'd put Trapdoor.
his gimmick actually does add significant challenge to the fight making him a stronger AV then the others I've listed.
his gimmick is also easily countered with holds -
Quote:the GM is a little bit tougher than other GMs in the fact it does almost require a full team in order to fight it and the fact that its flying (needing a full team is due to necessary bit of keeping seedlings dead so the seed is not being buffedAgree with the posters above. Its not perfect, but its pretty darn close.
Some issues and observations:
1 - The seed GM, i have never seen anybody on X trying to take this down. Is the carrot no good, is the GM too hard, is X at EST prime time low on toons? I personally think its better if something is farmed than ignorned. See RWZ ship raid for example. I dont even know what the rewards for this GM are, but I assume they are poor since nobody bothers.
the reward on it is almost 3x what other GMs award (it gives 5 merits instead of the usual 2) -
how i read that the tier 2 power does +strength to effect which is what powerboost says, the tier 4 however reads as just a straight buff
in any case i would never use this for any reason, yes some powers are annoying with kb, but thats why they are skippable or usable as set mules, and also i would NEVER take something that debuffs self -

we already have earth, fire, and air based sets, technically ice IS just frozen water
-
a majority of the reason a water based anything has not been introduced would be coding limitations as well as having to significantly increase the min requirements of the game if it ever got added which would kick the playerbase which as min spec computers in the shins
-
you have to claim the certificate for it in the email menu like you do vet powers in order to have it available in the tailor
very annoying that it doesnt automatically unlock for account -
it depends on how patient you are and how many trials you run lol
doing it entirely with shards to threads then making everything from that will take a VERY long time and be VERY expensive
doing only trials you can get away with not spending a single inf if you save up emps for rare/very rare components that you dont get on trials
i personally only throw inf to convert shards to threads and convert threads to xp which is ~50-100 mil per toon -
Quote:/this, i like fog of war on mish maps because i like being able to tell where i havent been yetI don't mind it on Mission Maps. Otherwise I lose track of where I've been.
On Zone maps, however, I find it incredibly pointless.
I also object to zones like Striga. I mean, dear lord I'm pretty damn sure someone's mapped that by now. Starting out with NOTHING, not even the damn Trainer, is a joke. And it's not a very good one, either.
on city zones though it is ridiculously pointless and just an annoyance -
i got my PP today as well, billing date 25th
Zwil, wouldnt this be so much easier to do and just award server transfers, PP, and tokens all at the same time say at the beginning of each month?
it seems way overcomplicated to award transfers at beginning of month, PP on billing date (variable throughout month per person), and tokens at the end of the month. awarding everything at beginning of the month would also standardize the procedure and should help to simplify it -

i love the dark blast set on a blaster, dark manip is ok but not my style, i currently have a dark/energy blaster though thats pretty sweet

zombie invasions can be spawned by running katie hannon or virgil tarikoss tfs, the zone it happens in is random though so it could be hero, could be villain, could be praetorian
there is also a small chance one will happen when halloween salvage is turned in
both of these can happen any time of the year -
superior conditioning is auto power that grants a max end increase which can be enhanced, it starts at around 5% increase when enhanced can get around 9.5-10%
max end increase alternatively also increases end recovery since end recovery is a % of your end -
i think originally brutes got this because they had energy aura for long time which used to have conserve power before revamp, and the epic pools were not supposed to have duplicate powers
-
as with others ive seen a increase on victory, definitly feels more lively
-
the general rule for target based things is that it starts at the targets center, which for large targets not much gets out of the character model
-
my earth/fire/fire is not bad for farming, can solo x6 diff pretty easy and even go up to x8
-
more options are always nice, i consider it the impatient "buy it nao" option for those who have the money to shell out for it but arent patient enough to wait for drops or earn inf to buy on market, or alignment merits/emp merits to buy directly
i personally would never buy IOs from the paragon market since i would rather buy things like powersets and costume pieces or other account wide functional items like increased storage
i dont see it being pay to win unless they were exclusive to the paragon market and could not be earned in game through any means
