  1. it works like cloak of fear or oppressive gloom from dark armor, it suppreses while in hide so it does nothing until you reveal yourself

    i agree with both points, i personally dont use help chat except to answer questions since i have access to global channels, but for the f2p it is basically the only source of communication since they cant communicate with other well due to being limited to local and team

  6. just publishing it does not mean it will get plays right away, with how the search function works and the fact that the system has never been purged of invalid arcs, your arc is essentially buried under 550,000+ other arcs

    the best way to get ratings is to promote your arc through the MA community by creating a feedback thread with the ID number of your arc, and to join the MA Arc Finder channel in game which has a lot of other poeple who talk about MA, promote arcs, and most anything else MA related

    now as for your questions:

    1. there is no setting to just make them run away they will always follow a player until they reach the destination (object or entrance)

    2. no they cant do random phrases, but you can always make multiple rescue objectives which have different text

    3. no, if they are their and have not been completed they will make the noise

    4. i am not sure, i havent looked into it too much

    5. if you have multiple destructive objects you have to make ambushs seperate for both of them, unless the object is the same and you just have multiple of the objects, if its multiple of the same objective then im not sure why it wouldnt spawn both of them

    6. all objectives have the ability to be created after another objective is completed for chaining ability, i believe its an options under the settings
  7. IIRC this change was intentional because pets add to server strain so the fewer pets the less server strain

    my main beef with the debuffs is that they are resistable and the targets that get full effect are so weak it doesnt matter and the hard targets when it does matter they are resisted into doing negligible amounts of debuff
  9. im glad they are adding something more villainous content for villains, i dont mind the "must band together with heroes to save the world from being destroyed" thing every now and then but thats been the main focus for like 10 issues at least

    i for one am glad that they are finally creating something to support the villain half of the game instead of a "hero always saves the day" thing
  10. another bug ive noticed with the collection system is there are a LOT of sg badges missing from display

    the following badges are missing(both badge and progress bars):

    in achievements:
    • Analyzer base defense
    • Gas trap base defense
    • improved energy turret
    • repulsor base defense
    • benedict dr turret plans
    • benedict dr-2 turret plans
    • benedict dr-3 turret plans
    • supercomputer
    • autonomous expert system plans
    • mega monitor plans
    • emergency capacitor plans

    in pvp:
    • fusion generator plans

    in defeats:
    • improved igniter
    • rikti plasma turret


    the only section that is not missing anything is the exploration, they are only missing graphically, my sg has most of the ones which are not listed anymore but still has the ability to place items such as improved igniter

    300% to perma what shield? fire/time doesnt really get any shields, and farsight is perma with hasten and a few rech SOs

    and if your running perma powerboosted farsight then you shouldnt have any problems with defenses since you will be able to get to 35% with few to no IOs, so i would focus on control/dmg and end management (fire/time i can forsee being extremely heavy end wise without incarnate powers, conserve power will help though)
  12. ill see if i can make it, and im guessing one of the backup plans is in case the copy tool is still down (i dont think i have any toons on test since it was last wiped due to copy tool being down for like 2.5 months now)
  13. i have a few toons still on beta from the i21 beta when the copy tool was working so i might give this a run through sometime over the weekend, but i might wait to see how the changes will work out
  14. from what ive read, almost all of the new interfaces are not as strong as the fire mostly due to the -res

    i would need to do some more testing to get hard numbers

    ive heard though that the toxic/psi ones were approx 60% of reactive and the others were about 80-90% dmg of reactive (which would make sense if reactives -resist comes into play since that can stack to max of -10% resist it means reactive will do 10% more dmg)
  15. back around i12-i15 (i dont remember specifically when) domination had the dmg bonus removed and the dom ranged dmg scale was changed to be almost that of blasters, so doms have huge dmg potential now even without the use of domination

    the 2 doms i usually run with are really pimped out earth/fire/fire and mind/fire/ice, both of which are perma domination

    my mind/fire is extremely good at confusing things and ive almost solo'd MoITF with him (has immense aoe dmg but is not as good as locking stuff down as the earth dom, can perma confuse AVs and mobs though)

    my earth dom is extremely good at control, i can lock down mobs no prob with domination and the fire APP really helps add to his aoe dmg with fire ball and rain of fire (he can run +0x8 with few problems)


    as per your post, grav is ok but the animation times are really long and is still being asked for slight revamp to improve the animation times

    fire control is not too bad, fire/psi doms were not the farming gods they used to be but when build right can still run +4x6 relatively easy (thats what my friend runs at with his fire psi)

    mind is very good but it is amazing with perma dom, almost night and day difference


    if your looking to get back into doms i suggest using a hard control set such as plant control or earth control, plant and earth when paired with fire assault are both very strong
  16. because the side badges in this trial are relatively easy to get (the vahz one is kind of annoying with more than 5 people) i usually will mention "we have to do X to get this badge" if we dont get it, oh well not like these things arent being run constantly or even hard to get in general

    More to the point of the thread, I took Spectral Interface (@ tier 3) on my Blaster yesterday. The visual effect is really cool; it's a yellow-black whirlpool at the target's feet, almost as if they're getting sucked into the pits of hell. If you have an infernal-flavor to your character, Spectral's a great fit
    about the toxic/psi dmg interfaces doing less, its only slightly but it is under review to possible be made more into line with the others

    i personally think the -end or the -max hp ones are the best because the chance to immob or confuse a target is very low, although that is also under review to be increased
  18. i have occasionally had the issue your having where it immediatly logs out, but its rare for me, i just log back in again and usually works 2nd time
  19. i dont know how much it changed since beta but originally the -end was essentially negligible even against minions, hopefully its been made more useful. the -max hp sounds interesting enough since on tough targets it can do up to -150 hp per tick or -600 hp if you stack 4x as well as adding toxic dmg

    (all of the new options were created with dmg over time components just to compete with reactive lol)

    the only reason i dont use windowsave command is because the UI for most of my toons is organized slightly differently depending on the toon

    i do use optionsave and chatsave all the time though lol
  21. i use chrome all the time on my home computer and ive never had problems logging in, although it does log me out if i am not active on the web page within like 5-10 min

    the bug appears to be that the EB (does she go AV too?) vanessa is flagged to spawn with normal enemy groups so i would assume it could happen anywhere that carnies spawn

    in this example, thats part of the reason (and yes it increases pulse dmg), the other part is if you kill antimatter before the final fight your league fails the trial

    its most likely titan weapons, if not titan weapons then staff melee (since thats the one thats been leaked a little because we can type in game the different powers)

    that doesnt mean i wouldnt like to see a new set on doms though, illusion is the #1 choice i would have for doms lol
  25. i mostly only want to get the coh collector edition for the badge that comes with it lol, but i cant justify spending $100 to get a badge

    personally i think the badge from that (VIP/destined one) should be awarded to you if you have a VIP account (ie make it a tier 9 VIP paragon reward)

    the other stuff in the collector edition (heroclix figures, ect) i dont want anyway
