Saw Super 8 last night, thought it was pretty good. It definitely felt like a tribute to kid adventure movies of the 80's: The Goonies, E.T., Monster Squad, etc.

Would totally have a Nemesis (with staff) one made if I had the extra money.

Well I had written out my whole post explaining why I was going to post my namesake rather than my actual oldest character (oldest one left on my account).. however the stupid* forums logged me out and ate my post...

Mystic Fortune was originally made in 2005, but was re-rolled in 2008 with a different selection of power sets. Technically he is still my oldest character.

My Bat themed Traps/Sonic Defender got an old fashioned Victorian style update. It's the wings that really pull the whole thing together. To the artist who designed the "wind-up" wings, you deserve a raise.

The size of the UI with your Health and Endurance bars scares me... a lot..

Under Auras look for the Clunker Aura. there you will find an option for trail only.

I really need to stop changing Mystic Fortune's costume.. he's starting to give me dirty looks.



I tried the Ascension chest detail too but it just made the outfit feel too "crowded"..

I've had many speedsters over the years, all of which were inspired by the flash one way or another.

First there was Quick-Fire, my Fire Blast/Energy Manipulation Blapper..





Then there was Nitrosurge, which I am ashamed to say nolonger exists.. He was an experiment in which I tried to roll a Fire melee Scrapper but take none of the "swords". Fire Melee/Electrical Armor.



Next came Ricochet Racer, my Dual Pistols/Energy Manipulation Blapper.





Most recently however, Timepulse was born. Electric Control/Kinetics Controller.

On Stranger Tides is much better than Dead Man's Chest and At World's End... just saying.

I found the pinstripe pattern located under "bottoms" as a "pattern".

It took me a while to come up with an original character I really liked using some of the Steampunk booster. I think I'm finally satisfied.

The only way I was able to avoid clipping between the vest and new chest detail was to turn the chest slider all the way down. The mini vest is one of very few jackets that this actually works on.

Ideally, some upper body tattoos would complete the look for me.. but unfortunately that's not really possible.. not without changing her skin color to something non-human looking. Additionally, the clock belt was used simply for the sash. Having an identical 'sash' without the clock would be fantastic.

There were lots and lots of great designs and character concepts in this thread folks. June is shaping up to be a good month! Can't wait!

Clunker aura set to trail only, colored dark, dark red.

The Steampunk booster made it to the public test server on Monday but wasn't turned on until Tuesday or today. I've been messing around with the costume pieces and I've gotta say, I am loving some of the new female options. There is a new corset option under chest detail (although listed as Victorian Steampunk 01 which will likely change) that is just fantastic. It is available in options outside of 'jacket' which I was hoping.

It can be seen here, on Echobats 'new' outfit. Along with the Wonderful Wind-up Wings.. too perfect for her concept!



I was also playing around with making a carnival of shadows.. came pretty close I think. The Victorian Decor costume aura is beautiful and makes for a great "psychic force field"



I will post more costumes after I mess around a bit more with the pack.

So.... am I the only one who bothered to look and see that the new Steam Punk Booster emotes had been added to the quickchat user interface?

Each of these include sound effects. They are:

• Inspiration - The character rubs their chin and then raises their fist to the air as a light bulb appears over their head.
• Hot Temper - The character has a tantrum stomping the ground with the right and then left foot and then lets off "steam" at the neck area.
• Train Whistle - An old fashioned steam whistle appears in the air and the character pulls the cord twice.

Can't say I'm surprised by this.. Look on the bright side, at least it didn't make it 10 episodes in and then get canned..

The inconsistency of taking on Marauder without using the grenades is down right annoying. It's either impossibly difficult or incredibly easy. On a run with 3 Radiation toons (two Defenders and a Controller, among other buffs/debuffs) we barely made it with less than a minute to spare, after several failed runs.

On tonights run with a single radiation Defender, and a variety of corruptors (couple kinetics, dark and a cold) we managed to breeze right through it with 9:32 to spare.. that's just.. dumb..

Tonight I finally managed to get MOLambda on my Broadsword/Regen Scrapper who happens to be my main badger. Never before have I felt so useless... if it weren't for my Seer Lore pets, who I might add are back up as IDF was my first choice. I might as well just stand in the freaking corner and watch everyone else work.

...and they expect us to do that three times?
