I can strip aggro from a tank who only uses auras as their taunts far, far easier than a tank who spams taunt whenever it is up.
So my imput to a anyone who want to be a tank is take your auras, TAKE TAUNT.
I agree with Taunt being something a Tanker should take, but for far different reasons than An AE baby like you might.

First off, Taunt is neither necessary nor useless. It is a tool to hold aggro. It is a tool that you can do without, but is nice to have. If you can hold aggro without it, then you can do so. Just because another Tanker used it is no reason to get it yourself if you don't need it.

I've used it on a Scrapper, Stalker, and a Brute now. It'll be a definite difference for any Tanker. Since Tankers usually have mobs on all sides of them, and with the radius as small as it is, you usually will NOT hit the people behind you. An arc behind you is usually safe, since it's out of the radius. However, if there are mobs behind the one you target, then they will likely be hit, whereas they might not in a normal PBAoE. So it's a give and take there, but for a Tanker in the center of a spawn, it'll likely be more noticeable.

Well, so far from what I have seen, Felecia just may have eclipsed ELK as my favorite poster for overall entertainment value. I miss all of the PvP munchkins in here, however, its nice to see that someone took their place in the forums. I will definitely have to read this gem of a thread.

I have Fly and Air Superiority on my WP/SS, don't need Fighting, Leaping, Medicine, or Leadership and I can tank just fine. In fact, if they lifted the pre-reqs for pool powers, I would be taking Group Flight at 20 (which is just a tad slower than Fly) just because I could.

@Myrmydon -- Ghost-Dance -- Scrapper -- Katana/Regen
This one is at level 4, so I will wait on leveling it until then. When the group gets closer to 20, I can switch to any of the three 20-23 level Tanks I have if you want melee aggro control.
I can also provide a Coalition with any SG that is created for this group, since we have space for a couple.
I almost forget. Are we doing any leveling pacts for this, or does it really matter nowadays? -

After having someone quit Citadel on the first mission by logging out and not actually quitting the TF, I agree completely with this idea. Something like that gets a 1-star. That being said, I have precious few 1-stars, which are done by behavior, never by actual player ability. -

Now, we don't have to worry about teaming like levels anymore with SSK, so the sign holding is likely to fade, aside from a sense of nostalgia.
