Dito here. Plus I heard somone complain about it on broadcast. And WW was very laggy ... I mean more than usual ... before it stopped working for me. Didn't bother to relog, though. I wanted to take a break anyway.

But if it says something like "bidding 0 inf(2500)" I've noticed that after a few seconds, it will just go away, and I have to place the bid again.
Yes, happens to me on almost every bid. I klick the button to bid on an item, scroll down to find the entry in the list (btw, it was a moronic idea to add the latest item to the bottom of the list where you don't see it unless you search for it) and watch it vanish again (sometimes it vanishes very fast, but it is always there for a moment at least). Usually I have to bid three times to get one bid through. Since I noticed this I'm monitoring the market messages in the chat channel. And I wait a few seconds between bids to try and compensate for lag. Of course I had it happen that I carefully monitored everything, waited some time after each bid and still had several bids popping up in rapid succession. VERY annoying!
  3. Just quit in disgust over the new market UI (no, not the game, just the session).

    Aaaarrghh ... I hate it!

Disappearing bids, the find button behind the item transaction history, a clogged screen, items "jumping" from one tab to the next (not a bug, but either I jump through the tabs in search for the item or I need a spyglass to find it in the All section because they removed the color coding), etc... it's (to express my true feelings atm I would need many four letter words ... *takes a deep breath* ... still mad, but I'll behave) ... it's really really horrible.
After my latest market experience I would even take the old UI back if it had a 100% chance to crash CoH every time I load the market data for the first time in the session.
  4. If I had the option to switch back to the old UI I would do it without second thought and never look back to this failed attempt. The sad thing is, that I can see some ideas I could like IF they were optional (i.e. persistent last inf bids tied to a check box) or working (i.e. right clicking on items to inflate AND deflate details).
The old UI wasn't perfect, far from it. But the new UI seems to be designed by someone ... well, lets just say he or she could have done a better job.
For me the best market UI overall was/is the following ... it is complex, has tons of informations and is still easy to use:

Edited to say: And the animations and the weapon looks mad
I couldn't decide either. To make up my mind I rolled them all. Played a Kat/Regen to L38 (was trying to decide between making another regen or a new WP at the same time), BS/WP to L50 and DB/WP to L50 (using only SOs in all three builds). Then I decided that I liked DB (and WP) best and rolled a new DB/WP which is my main scrapper now. But she is not my badge-hunter. And I'm considering to roll another Kat/*, because it's a nice set and has great potential. Maybe even a Kat/Regen ... I have this idea of making a new */Regen lately. Hmm... or I wait a bit and roll a Kin/Regen? Decisions, decisions.
  7. I sold some stuff (common and uncommon salvage, common recipes) to the vendors but I have still several toons with a lot of stuff in their inventory. Considering the supply of common inventions (blue side) before the market was closed and what I assume will flow into the market when it comes back again, I believe we will see only a minor peak in prices there (but I hoarded some specific salvage types in case I'm wrong .. muhahahah $_$ )
  8. Yes, 35-39 is a good range. This will remove the 10-25, 10-30 and 15-30 recipes (34 total) from the list and those are mostly not very disirable recipes, imho. Rolling on 40-45 will remove two more recipes, but one of them is Kinetic Combat: Dmg/End/Rchg. Rolling on 46-50 removes additional 11 recipes, among them the Miracle unique and some others that aren't bad. So from an economic standpoint you're probably making the most inf if you roll in the 35-39 range. However, rolling on 46-50 maxes your chance for the LotG:+7.5% and still has some other nice recipes. So if you're more the gambler type, you could try that too (the bank always wins, of course ).
  9. Interesting. I have a problem (well, it's more an annoyance) that is almost similar. I'm also using a wireless connection with an older router that is usually running 24/7. It happens now and then and for no apparent reasons that the router cuts the connection to the internet after I played CoH for some time (usually happens after a timeframe of a few minutes and up to an hour or two). After resetting the router works fine for several hours at least. However, this started to happen a long long time ago. Before I13, I think. Usually I reset the router before I start playing CoH and that helps to lessen the risk of an unintended disconnection a lot. This behavior did not change with I17 - it did not get worse (or better).

ill show you my build, but please don't just comment that the build sucks, ill fix it later.

    *hopes someone replies*
please tell me which one you think is better and why.
Without even looking at the builds I'd say pick whichever you like more. The Kat/Invuln is probably the stronger character, thanks to Divine Avalanche. But in the end strength doesn't matter much when you're badge-hunting (my badge-hunter is a storm/energy defender simply because she was the first character I ever rolled).
  11. A few things from another WP user:

    1) Do NOT six slot Mind over Body! You can gain much more if you use the extra 2-3 slots wisely.
    2) It is OK to six slot FH (we should change some details, though).

Hmm... I said it before, I'm not an expert on Dark Melee so everything I can say about it is largely theoretical. However, when I read the descriptions of the powers you didn't take, I find some interesting stuff. I think you should consider dropping both Conserve Power and Physical Perfection and take two more powers from Dark Melee instead. I would take Shadow Maul and ... maybe Web Grenade from Weapons Mastery (you'll see why later )

On first glance I notice, that you mixed slotting for +Def:Melee and +Def:S/L. If you try and max only one of them you'll see much better results. Getting to the cap is easier with S/L here, I think. QR and Stamina is overslotted. HPT is slotted for +res ,which is not a very good idea, imho.

Ok, here's an example build I put together based on what you picked and how you slotted. No purples, no PvP IOs.
Some explanations first. I altered the order in which the powers were picked based on my preferences (Super Jump at L14). I skipped Body Mastery and took Shadow Maul (which I think might be a good AoE) and Web Grenade (to be able to 4-slot Enfeebled Operation). I changed Siphon Life to add more accuracy to hit (you really want to hit with this one). The Performance Shifter procs each add 13.75% recovery over time (with both +end accolades: 20% chance every 10 seconds to give 11 end which averages out to 0.22/s or 13.75%) which is NOT shown in Mids (meaning you lost almost no +recovery by dropping PP and 5 slots from QR and Stamina ). Comparing the totals for your build and my suggestion you'll loose 5% global recharge, 6% ToHit, 9% damage buff, 2.7% Def:F/C, 1% Def:AoE, 6.8% Res:S/L, ~3.3% res to all other types, 1 HP/sec regen and ~0.1/s recovery. You gain 9% accuracy, 8% Def:S/L (which brings you to 45%), ~2% defense to most other types and positions, ~153 HP (which raises your HP total from 2175 to 2328) and some end. End cost for most attacks was also improved. I think the changes are worth it, especially considering that it puts you to the soft cap for Def:S/L.

The Rectified Reticle unique gives +20% preception which is nice but not needed if you have Tactics (gives ~50% perception plus some debuff res) or FA (gives ~60% perception plus debuff res). Sure, it stacks with Tactics/FA, but why would you want it when Tactics/FA is already enough to overcome everything you'll encounter in PvE? Unless you PvP, of course, where the extra 20% make it more difficult for Stalkers to stalk you.

(The Gaussian proc question was already answered.)
  13. I think there's a bug that makes it impossible to start a Swiss Draw (or I'm just too stupid in which case I hope that you'll not only tell me that but also explain what do to ).

    We had 7 L50s and 1 L47.

We noticed, that the setting "Swiss Draw" only showed in the event window of the person who was about to create it. All persons who were invited to the event read "Single Match" instead. On clicking the "Start Event" button "Swiss Draw" resetted to "Single Match" in the event window of the event creator (still was "Single Match" for everyone else) and loaded everyone into a one on one on the same map ("No Teams" setting selected).

Selecting "Swiss Draw" doesn't change any other settings for the event even if that means that the min requirements are not fullfilled. So we tried playing around with some options.

We tried different options from the "More Options" section: "default", "no pool, no travel, no inspiration", "all inspirations and all other options besides no pool and no travel".
We tried "Super Heavyweight" and "Any".
We tried "Random Map" and "Caged Match".
We tried with max players set to 4, 8 and to 64.
We tried "No Teams" and "Open Teams".
We tried "Timed" and "Last Man Standing"
We tried with "Rated" checked and unchecked and with "Invite Only" checked and unchecked.
    # of minutes was always set to "10".
We tried with different people creating the event.
Plus we tried relogging characters and restarting the client.

We didn't check all of the possible combinations from the above mentioned options especially not those with settings that seemed unreasonable (like setting to "Open Teams", "Last Man Standing" or "Caged Match") but we tested most of the other combinations. Some combinations were tested with only 2 players in the event (to see if we could change the "Single Match" to "Swiss Draw" in the event window of the invited player somehow.

We ran a Pentad successfully before trying to run the Swiss Draw.

I repeated some tests and changed "# of minutes" to 5, 10 and to 20 with no one on the team and tried to list a Swiss Draw event which wasn't possible and always resetted "Swiss Draw" to "Single Match". Listing a "Custom Freeform Tournament" ("Single Match" setting) was possible.

Any ideas what else to test? Or some advice how to do it right?
Did someone run a Swiss Draw after the I17 patch?

Yes, sometimes I am "forcefully disconnected from server" - which shuts off of the client - when I try to enter a max size SG base with many itmes. It doesn't happen often and I believe it started to happen even before I16.

EDIT: just for kicks I made a quick spines/da for melee, I got to 39.2% but only 45% rech. Recovery os good because I went with body mastery.
The "trick" is to 6-slot Impale with Enfeebled Operation and to include the Gladiator's Armor unique. And to accept some shortcomings in other places. My global recharge and net end gain is roughly the same you have in the build you posted.

Power picks are ok, I think, except for Acrobatics. Switch it with Physical Perfection (as Santorican already suggested).

    Slotting:
One more slot in Lunge would make it possible to slot some Kinetic Combat for +3.75% Def:S/L here.
You should drop the 5th slot from Dark Embrace, Murky Cloud, Obsidian Shield and Tough. You will loose 5% Def:AoE and 2.5% Def:F/C but it would give you 4 slots for redistribution. And I didn't see the Steadfast Protection +def unique anywhere. Get it! It's the cheapest way to get 3% Def:All. Plus you want some KB protection (especially after removing Acrobatics). Check out the Steadfast Protection KB protection and try to slot it together with the Steadfast Protection +Def. If you need more slots you could slot Obsidian Shield with both Steadfasts and a HO:Ribosome Exposure, for example.
Death Shroud and Quills are VERY end expensive. Slotting both with Obliteration is probably not the best idea since Obliteration doesn't give much end reduction. You could slot Multi Strike instead.
Spine Burst (and Ripper) should be 6-slotted with Obliteration, imho.
If you intend to 5-slot Impale with Armageddon at least switch the pure Damage IO for the damage proc.
Drop the LotG: Def/End from Combat Jumping. The effect on end isn't noticable because CJ doesn't need much end, and the 0.2% Def:All you are going to loose isn't much if you find good use for the enhancement slot elsewhere. If you have the influence try to get LotG:+7.5%. This is one of the best IOs available and you should slot it in every power you can fit it in (up to a max of 5, of course).
Consider slotting the Winter's Gift 20% Slow Resistance in Super Jump.
Try to get the Miracle and Numina uniques and slot them in Health, if you can afford them. The extra +recovery will make it easier for you to sustain end.
Consider 4-slotting Stamina with Performance Shifter. This will give you more recovery.
Depending on what you are going to change, slotting Build Up with 2 Rectified Reticle and 1-2 generic recharge IOs might be an alternative to 6-slotting it with Gaussians.
Dark Regeneration needs more accuracy. Either use a combination of Miracle and Touch of the Nictus or use IOs from muliple sets, like Santorican suggested. And try to include the Theft of Eccense proc. It's very good.
I wouldn't slot Thow Spines with PvP IOs. They are VERY expensive and not really better in PvE than other available choices. I would slot TS with Positron's Blast or, if I have the influence, Ragnarok.
If you can, try to find a 3rd slot for Hasten. Another generic recharge IO would reduce the downtime by 16s.

On paper the DM/SR seems to be unkillable. My Spines/Dark is build for (capped) melee. When I created the build I also tried to come up with a decent build for Def:S/L but never liked the results overall. It's easier to build for defense with */DA than with */Fire, btw. DA has Cloak of Darkness which gives a basic 3.75% to Def:All (same as Weave).

With high defenses and an impressive AoE damage output there's no need for OG, imho. BU + TS + SS + damage auras is all the mitigation I'll ever need against minions.

I would drop 1 slot from RttC - it's good enough with 3 slots.
Drop one slot from Stamina and slot Stamina with 3 Efficiancy Adaptor IOs and QR with 4 Performance Shifter IOs.
Drop one slot from Combat Jumping and slot CJ with LotG: Def and LotG:+7.5%.
Drop Resurgence and take Barb Swipe instead and 4 slot it with Kinetic Combat.

You will loose 0.1% Def:F/C, 0.5% Def:Ranged and 1.1% Def:AoE which is all barely noticable. You will also loose 0.01/s in net end gain and 0.6 HP/s in regen.

You will gain 4.5% Def:S/L which brings it to 42.7% plus some def to E/N and melee.
You will gain 20 HP to your HP total and another 7.5% to global recharge.
