Quote:This is so true, I love popping PB & Domination on my /earth dom.Erm, no it doesn't. Power Boost will affect things that Dominate won't (for example Elec Controls chaining confuse and draining aura) because it works by affecting the AT modifiers for mezzes and some buffs/debuffs.
Also PB & Domination will combine anyway, which is great for the AOE Holds.
To the OP, I have a mind/elec and it is pretty sweet I must say myself. It is a pretty smooth sail, and cheap to permadom. That is what takes my vote. -
Cannot wait to get this on DVD. I missed the chance when it was out years ago, and only saw half of both movies cause of life at the time. Now I can finally finish up the 4th season. I know I just finished watching 1-3 on Teletoon Retro recently so it is a breath of fresh air to hear this.
Hopefully they will make the movie trilogy they were planning. -
Quote:Common history..it is always done, as you said...hell they do not even need to release the films to keep it.To clarify:
* Marvel does not retain the film rights to Spiderman or the X-men movie franchises. Spiderman is owned by Columbia Pictures, the X-men is owned by 20th Century Fox.
* It is not Marvel that is rebooting Spiderman it is Columbia Pictures.
* It is not Marvel that is rebooting the X-men it is 20th Century Fox.
* Spiderman will not be meeting the Avengers or any other film property that is owned by Marvel because they are different film companies. This includes and applies to the X-men since they are owned by Fox.
* The reason Spiderman is being rebooted is because Columbia needs to bring out a Spiderman movie by <X> date or else the contract would automatically revert back to Marvel and they can no longer make any Spiderman movies. (The X-men fall under the same deal which is why they are making X-men First Class).
* Neither Columbia nor Fox care that they reboot the movie or if the movies end up making the Marvel comic characters look bad, they just want money and also know that almost all of the movie public are going to relate the bad rebooted movies to Marvel and not them (as seen above).
* When Spiderman and the X-men's film license are up and the properties revert back to Marvel, expect Marvel films to reboot the series again

Quote:If you do look deeper into the thread. I was answering a question he had on certain areas. Later in the thread I state that I am against it, since it only coupes music industry and in Canada some artists*.In Belgium we have a 'piracy tax' on all digital storage media. Meaning that everyone buying a harddrive/memory card/laptop/USB storage device/e reader/... pays more for their products than they would otherwise.
As someone who has hundreds of cds, dozens of dvds, over 50 games and over a hundred hardcover books I was f***ing outraged when they introduced it. Luckily I live close to the border with the Netherlands and I just go buy hard drives and stuff over there to avoid the tax. A mate of mine orders his stuff in from Germany now and another actually started downloading his stuff illegally, figuring that since he was already paying for it anyway he might as well do it.
Piracy taxes only punish people who don't deserve it.
I have said a lot of times the copyright has to go to the artist not the company it is a great way to fix this solution. I know I pay the tax here, and I know (thank's to some docs) that most goes to the label.
Although I think a few EU countries have a better foothold than us on certain things, but that is a wait and see.
Quote:The only times I use a torrent to download something illegally is for American TV shows that take 2-5 years after thier American dvd release to get released over here (like Dexter for example, Season 3 aired on tv and was released on DVD only a few months back). I simply don't have the patience to wait for that when I know there is more I can watch right now.and I buy the DVDs anyway as soon as they are released over here.

Could you post your build. I have mine almost at 50, and IO'd out for what his goal was. Also what are you looking for in a build? (Hopefully rech is #1)

Quote:Well I could cope with no V in the internet, cause it would mean trying to get it through netflix or DVR....but putting American Idol over it that is a travesty!Well I just found out that everything isn't all peaches and gravy (???) here either. It seems that ABC decided NOT to put any of the second season of V on their site or Hulu, only telling us after two episodes aired.
Gee thanks ABC, I guess I have no reason to tune into your serialized TV series for the rest of the season since I can't catch up. Actually it sounds like they've given up hope for the series and are simply gave up that time slot to American Idol when it starts. -
Quote:This is how it is in the states which is a great reception. But in Canada it is not the same, we are denied anything like this for various reasons. We are only just getting some help with it on Netflix Canada.Remember movies tend to be edited for content, time and language for TV. Therefore what you download is closer to what you would get on a DVD, which you would have to pay for.
TV networks are getting better at providing ways for the average viewer to catch up on missed or truncated episodes for FREE. Nearly all the major broadcast US networks provide the last five episodes of the current running series online either at their own network website or Hulu. Only CBS is somewhat stingy with free replays. This assumes the primary reason people seek out ways to download an episode of a currently running series is to catch up and not collect the season for future viewing.
Even BBC America caught a glimmer of understanding why fans of Doctor Who in the US are torrenting down the series. We don't want to wait weeks or months from when it was shown in the UK and we don't want to watch an edited for time version so BBC America can stuff in another three commercials an hour for The Graham Norton Show that's already two months old. So surprise, we get to see the latest Doctor Who Christmas special on Christmas. What a concept.
It is still good to see for people to have this option if they do not have a DVR system. -

Also still you do not know if people will buy the book or not. They could in fact buy the book after some reading of it. There will be some that do not, but a way of course to circumvent that is host your own digital copy which people can get with easy access on their Kindle or Ipad. -
Nope. I am pretty much a staple of what a introvert is. In the game, I am able to be in a casual team....one in that you will only see me talk roughly when someone levels.

Indeed Z_M, the Minotaur spring was awesome. Also I did find out that my DM actually has a copy of the game in his closet. So we will be planning to sit down in play it once. When it happens I just might need to post a review of the game.

Did a fire/earth, and have no issues with end. While I do not run pots, I do use tough, fire shield, assault, and hot feet. It is all about frankenslotting then going for what IO bonuses.

This is a bit dated (three years ago). Still it is *not* just young people.
Also another interesting article which came out last year stating that the increase in Revenue and sales for the music industry:

Quote:Funny thing about this issue is that every single person arguing they should be allowed to download stuff for free would be screaming bloody murder if they were the writer who wasn't getting paid for the stuff they wrote/created.Quote:It's 2011. You should automatically assume your work will be shared on the internet. If it's not, it's because no one likes it.
The best thing you can do is give it to them direct from the source, your own website. That allows you to connect to the fans without any middlemen and maybe actually make some money.

It is your choice on what you do in your life, but there is positives and negative to everything in life. Also I still will stand by my point is that the entire copyright laws need to be overhauled.
Also this interesting study that was done by Industry Canada:

Quote:As was echoed from Zombie man, put in a bug report. They will award it for you, cause it will show up on their end when the (GMs) check.Tried this again yesterday. Assembled a team of eight, seven of which were Praetorians without the Devilfish badge. Took down all eight tentacles, and Lusca. Everyone received the badge. Sooo... shrug. I dunno. Random bug I suppose, but not linked to Praetorians in any case. Thanks for the help, y'all.

Quote:Yeah that was some great times....hoping to get the LoTG recipe from it only ending up with the Mani triple.I miss people turning down runnning the vines in Nerva and then we smoke through the trial only to get a glimpse of the abyss drop. Wait maybe they were right...
They called us crazy....and I agree, they might of been right all along. -
Man why, am I never on when you on....I miss seeing all of your wonderful and colorful characters you design.

Quote:This is a massive assumption to make already. Technically The Alpha slot is purely solable, and there is some TFs you can do once you unlock it. To me it makes it all encompassing. You have the ways for soloists to gain new strength and please the team-players/ TFers that love doing that.Incarnate Trials
My thought on this is that the solo friendly City of heroes will require teaming to reach the new level cap. That doesnt seem a good thing to me. Not just easier to reach the (pseudo) level by teams but to actually demand it in forms a trials which as a long time player, I'm sure you know implies a taskforce type activity.
With the little info we have on this, I would not think anything of it yet, until more info is released. -

Quote:The ITF is already gated content - you need to run an arc to get access to Cimerora.Quote:Its also technically gated by game progress: you have to be level 35 to run it.
