Personally I think that some folks are even getting too worked up about the Going Rogue expansion, expecting it to be out around the same time or soon after Issue 15. I think that's not very likely, and the real time frame will be more along the lines of June or July 2010.
[/ QUOTE ]I think a release date in the Christmas/New Years time frame is more likely than a full year (and then some) from the announcement.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking Halloween release. What better reason to change costumes than flipping sides?

OPINION ALERT!
Personally, I think the devs realize once CO comes out, there will be a lot of people that go to check it out... I'll probably be one of them. (It will have to absolutely blow my socks off for me to drop CoH and switch to CO, and I hope I'm objective enough to be able to realize that, but that's a different discussion.)
They want to have something to draw back the people that haven't already come back and are on the fence... maybe even some that are leaning towards the competition. Ideally it would have to come out by September, but to have it out by the end of the year would still work... -

I've applied, but I doubt that I'll get it, considering half the people that use these forums are qualified for that position.

Or think they are.

It doesn't matter if we think we are.. what matters is if they think we are... -

Hey hey hey buddy! Stay on task here! What does that gentleman do?!
[/ QUOTE ]
He's an Environmental Artist, which I believe puts him working with Melissa "War Witch" Bianco.
[/ QUOTE ]
War Witch is more into environmental design than art. She places spawns and writes dialogue. Environmental art creates the 3D world with 3D modeling, meshing, and texturing.
If the gentleman in question is one of the environmental artists then he is either Don Pham or Ryan Roth.
Updated labeled group shot of Paragon Studios.

I'm sure the COMPANY has 50 employees, but how many of them actually work in the same cubicle farm alongside Positron, War Witch & Co.?

I count 47 people in this picture, which is now outdated.

Personally i think it's great they hired Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Try as I might, I can't come up with anything but 46 each time I count.
[/ QUOTE ]
The cameraman perhaps.
Edit: Actually is there a person behind the red shirted guy on the left? That would take my count to 47.
[/ QUOTE ]
I begin to think there "IS" a person there who only wanted their hands showing and ducked down.
Either that or someone performed a mule kick and we are seeing the results.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes... I think I see, to the left of the red-shirted person, just above where the hair hits the shoulder, is part of a forehead... -

I have a name... and that's it. Heroside.
Name is Oathbearer.
Something magic-y...
I just don't have a AT or powerset yet.
Any suggestions and/or costume ideas?
I have the Wedding, Valk and Cyborg packs, with 30 month vet reward, if that helps.

Forcefield/Psichic Defender... but I'm Biased.
(And I apologize ahead of time if you actually take my advice)
EDIT: And no, while I do love Mercedes Lackey dearly, that's not where my Forum, or Global handles came from, and the Oathbound character isn't based on anyone in her books.
[/ QUOTE ]
And hello to a fellow Sacramentan... who knows who Mercedes Lackey is! -
How about a Broadsword/Shield scrapper?
(Reminiscent of the Mercedes Lackey books Oathbound/Oathbreaker/etc.)
(Edti: Of course, in those books, the hero was a girl...)

<truck to forehead>
O_O
OK... people who are asking about green-screening... would it work to create a green picture, use Leandro's Splasher to replace one of the huge billboards, then have your character animate in front of one?
Am I missing something as to how easy this seems now?
Oh, and D_R.. you ROCK! -
<QR>
Good to see you back, DJ!
And another fine piece.. of art.. Glad you reddened up her hair some. It does look a lot better now.

<QR>
Just wanted to say, another fine production.
My problem with producing videos that I have in mind is that I am a perfectionist when it comes to the shots I want to create.
Nice work D_R!
(Also love the Bab 5 tribute at your website, too.)

If you've seen the screenshots I posted in the forum above: this'll be nothing new to you. It does, however, do that little graphical hiccup more justice. I give you the second most amusing bug I've ever seen.
The first, and I SWEAR I was sober, was a group of NPCs running past me to get away from something: followed by a group of NPCs sliding by me in the /e kneel emote, followed by a pair of wooden boxes shimmying on behind them, bringing up the rear.
I really wish I'd gotten video of that one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Funny you mention that about the boxes...
A couple months ago I came upon a fire in Steel Canyon that was just finishing up. I watch the fire chief run off, the extinguishers fade away... and I notice something moving on the sidewalk.
A bunch of boxes were sliding down the sidewalk. I followed them around the corner and back behind a building. They slid up to a door, the door opened, and they all disappeared inside.
I really wish I had demorecord on a hot key.. -

BTW... What does the DYNGROUPS command do?
[/ QUOTE ]
They control the changeable (non-model) map/zone elements.
Most of the time, that's the war walls. DYNGROUPS DYNARRAY determines whether the war walls are up or down.
The longer string, when there's more than just one variable set, also appears to manage the state of the Recluse's Victory status boards -- those in-game displays that show who controls what pillboxes by the color of the region (they probably also manage the appearance of the RV zone itself, but I haven't explicitly checked that).
[/ QUOTE ]
Cool.. Thanks Scuzz. -
I made the changes that Scuzz suggested, moving the two CAM commands to immediately follow the DYNGROUPS command and changing the time increment to 0, and it ran ok.... There was just the hospital rez room for about half the demo, then a doctor pops in with running animation facing away from the camera...
For what it's worth...
BTW... What does the DYNGROUPS command do? -
"Hey! There ain't no money up here!"
(Thanks Goldbrick...) -
<QR> I'm only guessing this is possible.. but by my thinking you should be able to replace your character with the NPC Puddle.
The puddle would give something for the camera to remain attached to, while being effectively invisible. -
<QR>
Just to clarify, as others have already said, hitting print screen will drop a picture into your screenshots folder in your installation directory. This works if you are in the 'game world' - running a mission, in your base, or standing in front of Miss Liberty.
If you want a picture of your enhancement screen, costume editor, or any other screen where you are not primarily controlling your character, when you hit print screen it copies that image to your systems clipboard. At this point you need to open an image editor, such as Microsoft Photo Editor, or MS Paint, etc., and paste a new image.
Good luck! -
