This is actually a very old bug. I think typing /sync will clear it up for anyone that is affected.
Assemble Team - and for that matter, Recall Friend - does the same thing for the character by forcing the game server to 'place' them in the expected coordinates. -
Yes there is... I don't remember the command... but there is.
Quote:If you are using a demolauncher, there is probably an option that issues this command when you launch. Just need to remove the command. Here it is.. At the wiki:

Welcome to the game...
Additionally, you'll find that you can make 12 characters per server... with 11 servers (12 if you count the test server, but that's another story).
So you can make 132 characters (or toons) without having to delete anything.
With all those character slots, feel free to try out different AT's and powersets.
Have fun! -
I need to refresh my memory on what comes with what, and not just the booster packs.
I think the Mission TP comes with the Mac (Valkyrie) pack, which is not technically a booster, but I find that power very useful. Someone mentioned the Pocket D TP, which is from the GvE edition, I believe... Again, not a booster. -

I usually slot my attacks on my tank with one taunt, if there's room. I don't bother trying to slot damage to increase threat rating when there's no way I'm going to out-damage a blaster or scrapper.
Edit: Oh, and as for my play style... I take taunt eventually, but don't find it as critical as I'll use punch-voke to control aggro early on.
Later I'll take taunt as it allows me to manage a melee from the middle of it all.. If there are some stragglers that are peeling off and attacking other teammates I'll throw a taunt their way to bring them back to me. -
It sounds like you're not using a build planner... I would recommend going to cohtitan.net and getting Mid's Hero Designer.
Among other things, you'll be able to see when you'll be able to get what powers, and how many slots to throw at them.
As an aside, after level 28, there are only 8 more powers you can pick: 30, 32, 35, 38, 41 (when Ancillary/Epic Patron Power Pools become available), 44, 47, and 49.
Good luck! -
What's more, he's only in three missions according to the wiki: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Anti-Matter
Need to be careful which one you do, too, because in one of them, he defeats himself by teleporting away. -
Yeah, it would have been nice to hear more detailed new information on stuff... But really, what did you expect, or assume, would come out of this?
As for the useless questions that were answered, based on Castle's response, it sounds like they were each given a stack of questions and told to answer each and every one that they CAN answer, excepting for duplication, and to not bypass a question simply because it's assumed to be common knowledge.
It takes up valuable developer time, but I think the 'blame' should lie at the questioners' feet as they should have at least checked the forums for any answers they might be seeking. (Note - this assumes the people angry about the 'uselessness' of this Q&A are looking for someone to hoist on the yardarm.)
A question I wish that would have been answered is whether the 'doppelganger' storyline is going to have some kind of copy of the mission-holder, and if this tech will be expanded into other areas of the game.
At any rate, I appreciate the devs taking time out of their day to run the Q&A... -
It's about the difficulty changes... You can adjust your difficulty so that you will generate spawns equivalent to +/- from your level as well as 1 to 8 team members. Also allowing for whether to fight Lt's or bosses when solo and if AV's scale down to EB's...
Oh.. it also doesn't cost any influence to make the changes now, either. -
My in-laws play with my wife and I.. They are both 75.
On the other hand... my son plays... and has since he was three.
I'm pretty much right smack in the middle, along with my wife. -
Quote:It should be noted, as with all software development, that the noted date was a TARGET. Delays happen in software development. No one likes it, least of all developers (except for, maybe, Castle and BaBs
Issue 17 wasn't scheduled at all when Hero Con was on - all the devs said was that I16 was the final Issue before GR came out, but that there might be a pre-GR Issue if they completed the ultra mode work ahead of schedule.). Even Blizzard is exceptionally notorious for delays in their development.
Frankly, you come across as someone looking for what's wrong... try looking at what's right - we're all getting UM early, the Incarnate system was until recently a bad memory of Jack Emmert and is now a significant part of GR, and we're getting another issue prior to GR.
As for what you paid for, be patient... you'll find, as we all will, that the purchase price for GR will likely be well worth it.
Edit: BLAST! Cursed work! Bionic Flea bounded in and beat me to the point... -
Quote:Expanding on this, Change for it's own sake is NOT good change. That doesn't mean ideas shouldn't be explained. People jump on folks that think they have a "big idea" but really it's just a couple of simple sentences with no thought about consequences or how to execute it.
Like I said, I'm not opposed to or resent change. However I want GOOD change and compelling reasons to make it. I resent the implication that because the case someone makes isn't in any way compelling, that I'm a rabid fanboy, or "afraid" because I state in plain terms that their idea is flawed.
Change to address a real - and definable - problem is what should be discussed. -
Quote:I still have both my C-128 and my Amiga 1000.. sitting there... in storage... waiting for my return... to play JUMPMAN, or Impossible Mission! They must have hired people who used to work for Commodore's marketing department.
That went over all your heads now, didn't it? -
Quote:This has gone back and forth a few times, so forgive me if this is not part of the answer you are looking for...I know which Packs I have, and I know which powers/items come from each one, but that doesn't necessarily mean I bought a specific Retail copy or not. I wanted to buy AE Retail to get a discounted pack, but I didn't know if I already bought it or not.. but since it turns out I already have both eligible items anyway, it wouldn't make much sense to bother with it anyway now.
Because of the non-detail in the Account Details, I can only assume I bought the packs separately, or that one of the Retail codes I bought is incorrectly showing as a Perk instead. This is why it would be nice to have the item names updated.
The Valkyrie costume items and Mission Teleporter are only available in the Mac Pack.
Now, there are two versions of the Mac Pack:
One that allows a new game account set up with a month of time, along with the costume items and Mision TP;
And one that just has the extra items.
I guess the question here is, is it possible to get both the full game Mac pack AND the separate item Mac Pack; or does having one preclude having the other?
Bottom line, though, is that the Valkyrie costume and Mission TP are from the Mac Pack. -
With the impending arrival of Going Rouge and the awesome eye candy known as Ultra mode, there's a lot of people considering - and asking about - upgrading their video to take advantage of the new graphics setting in an attempt to send their eyes into diabetic shock.
As much as I'd like to eviscerate my optic nerves with the bleeding edge of video technology, I'm going to have to be satisfied with my GTX260 for the time being. But I like to casually follow technology, see what's coming up, and get an idea about current products. I also like to see what products people prefer, and - most importantly - why.
With the aforementioned inquisitions about what a good video choice would be with these parameters or those parameters, recommendations are coming out for ATI or NVidia. (Let's face it, these two are the only real players in this market.)
Getting to the point, I'm curious what other tech-heads might glean from this article I read over at Tweaktown. It compares, technically, Nvidia and ATI. More specifically, I'm wondering how CoH and its code is tied in to this paragraph:
Now, what does all this have to do with your gaming? Well, it comes into play when you consider how game engines are coded. If the game code is all small and simple instructions, then the AMD GPU has a very large upper hand, even considering the faster speed of the NV shaders. If the game code is in complex and bulky blocks then AMD only has 320 stream processors that can execute that code and then at a significantly slower speed. This problem has come to light more and more in the world of GPGPU computing, but is also starting to show up in gaming situations.
Like I said, I'm curious what people with more technical knowledge might have to say about the issue mentioned in the article, and if it affirms or conflicts with the preferred video company.
The article is here: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/30...ame/index.html -

It seems to me there was a big discussion amongst the devs as to whether to include repecs in the game in the first place.
Would I like to be able to keep my enhancements and dispose of them as I see fit? Sure.
I also want the monthly fee lowered, all the booster packs applied for free to each of my accounts and have a pony delivered to my house.
...I know.. I know... that's so silly.... sheesh.. free booster packs.
Fact is, the economy of the game has inflated since players don't have to spend millions of influence/infamy every 5 levels to replace TO's/DO's/SO's that are past their expiration date.
As for streamlining the respec process.. sure.. maybe an option to only reslot enhancements, leaving the power selection step and the slot allocation step as per the original build... -

Two new emotes:
Air Guitar
Karaoke (perhaps interchangeable with the Boombox emote)

A personal nemesis system. I've wanted this since they first hinted at it 6 or 7 issues ago...
Wait...
I've wanted it since BEFORE I knew I wanted it... Way back when.. you know.... 8-bit days... -
Quote:Actually, I commented in a thread back on May 20th about an interview that I read from Positron:
Quote:In the last interview I read from Positron he talked about being in the planning stages for Issue 18...
We know I15 is close to beta. That means they probably already know all of what is going to be in I16, and a pretty good idea about what will be in I17.
Most issues are generally driven by the story that accompanies it. -
I think even Nemesis would be banging his head against the wall after that one...
