Wrong forum section, dude.
[/ QUOTE ] Kinda. He'll probably get better answers here(though I was a fan of Kheld forums when I used to visit them a lot).
OP: While I have no numbers to back me up, I don't think what you wanna do is very likely. I haven't played my WS since i10, but I couldn't imagine her soloing an AV. Especially if you don't wanna use inspirations(that's up to you obviously). Hell, I didn't like fighting EBs. -

I didn't know their was a later version.
[/ QUOTE ] IE8 is out. I'm not exactly sure of all the features, though I have heard good things about it. It's just that newer versions are usually more secure. -

Any help on this? (other than changing my browser)
IE 7.
[/ QUOTE ] Why not upgrade to the latest version of IE? -

I vote for DB/WP also. I have one at 43 and she is a blast to play. Hell, I have really crappy slotting(like empty slots and other no-nos) and I have zero problems. I don't think anybody mentioned this either, but DB also has a good amount of knockdown, which is awesome damage mitigation. I like to use the sweep and attack vitals combos. -
Here is a first attempt at a build for my Ice/Elec dom, just looking for some general advice. Permadom wasn't a goal, I just wanted recharge for my attack chain. Any problems anybody see with my build? Better slotting ideas?
Also, I have zero experience with Patron power pools, so any advice on those is needed. I went with mace mastery initially because I generally prefer defense, but I'm not tied to it by any means.

We do not have the time to get the Infamy/Influence or Merits to get the IOs that we want.

And I don't understand people who are fine with fluff taking as much or more effort to earn than things that have a tangible effect on gameplay.
[/ QUOTE ]
The thing is your suggestion is just plain ridiculous. You're not asking for it to be made somewhat easier. You are asking for it to be practically given away.
[/ QUOTE ]
A ten badge requirement is not "practically given away," not by a long shot. I haven't seen any characters that don't actively go after invention badges with more than 4.
[/ QUOTE ] An accolade you can get in less than thirty minutes is practically giving it away. -

People seem to forget how they were like when they were new I nearly had a 30 when I found out you could put multiple of the same enhancement in a power! And I was told that by somebody I got into the game (of all people! ). Although, when they first started playing the game they probably knew everything.
[/ QUOTE ] I didn't take Aim on my first level 50 because it didn't do any damage. Same thing for lingering radiation. -
Pretty much how my experience went. Except I hoarded all the high level enhancements and sold for 1 influence or deleted all the ones I didn't want. I lost a ton of influence. But that's ok because I just wanted to get it and I also did the level 45 and 50.

Besides, if you're good enough friends with someone to want to level pact with them, surely you would know if they let their account lapse. In that case, stop leveling your toon.
[/ QUOTE ] That's a good point, because everybody always remembers the date their account expires. And without a doubt we all know the expiration dates on our friends accounts. Good point. -
I bet most of the issues people faced would be resolved if actual competition was allowed. One to three choices isn't real competition. For internet I have to choose between Time Warner Cable and U-Verse. Hooray for government sponsored (semi)monopolies!!!!!!!!!

Then what is this:

The only real reason people farm or PL' is to use those coveted items.
[/ QUOTE ] Sure looks like you're trying to speak for other people when you tell us their reasons for doing something. -
First of all you are making up statistics. Where did you get 90% from? Second, points 1 and 2 are purely subjective and I happen to disagree with you. Third, point three is just plain incorrect. You can disagree all you want, but it is a fact that you do not have to farm to IO out a character.

Werner, nice build. Although I'm extremely happy with my build, I'm gonna have to take an idea or two from you. Thanks a lot, I was actually struggling to come up with improvements.

And I was particularly impressed with Celeste Cat's “tanking”. Kept ending up in the middle of mobs with all the aggro (apparently intentionally) and also kept the healing Nictus busy. I knew Katana/Invulnerability could be good, but damn! Maybe I need to pull my Broad Sword/Invulnerability out of retirement.
[/ QUOTE ] I'm very glad to hear this. Now I'm really excited about finishing my own.
And this TF is a ton of fun with a DM/SR. I haven't done this yet, but I see it entirely possible to get to the final encounter with minimal* problems with that build. -

Seriously, this is a nice accolade. Craft enhancements anywhere? Nice! But the requirements are INSANE. It requires something like 40 invention badges, and at minimum 1000 crafts, not to mention a substantial investment of inf. And of those 40-something badges, 36 of them have esoteric requirements that the game doesn't show you progress on properly, so unless you're keeping track by hand you're flying blind. Hardly anyone has this accolade - only the hardcore badgers do.
The requirements need to be scaled back, and HARD. It should be something like 10 Invention badges - any 10. The badges for crafting certain categories of common IOs should no longer require both levels ending in 0 and 5 for credit; either should count, and the needs for those actual badges should be reduced. Furthermore, Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra-Rare IOs should count for the categorical badges. A level 29 Acc/Dam/Rech enhancement should count towards the badge for each the Accuracy, Damage, and Recharge badges for level 20-29.
Failing that, make all the invention badges and the progress tracking account-wide.

If getting field crafter COSTS you inf, you are basically doing it wrong. (or doing it purely for getting it quickly in which case you have chosen the most costly route)
My last field crafter was about 200 million plus when she got it.
based on your faulty premise, I dont see the need for any of your suggestions.
and don't forget that the 25-30 teir badges come with their very own nifty bonus.
[/ QUOTE ] What Catwhoorg said. This is fine as is. I don't understand why people want everything to be easier. -
I'm stuck with U-Verse. But I'm ok with that, ANYTHING is better than Time Warner Cable.
-
With enough inspirations and a little bit of luck pretty much anything can solo an AV. Though, I think it is much, much more likely with Fire or Ice because of their superior ST damage.
