I die a lot when I play support ATs. Which is why I don't play them much. I play everything like a Scrapper on speed. In fact, I die a lot no matter what I'm playing.

If I'm not dying, then I'm not trying.

And I prefer the idea of the market getting as many items as possible more than more personal storage(because I can always make another personal SG if I ever need).
  3. There is nothing inherently wrong with the "it's just a game attitude." Different people have different priorities on what they get emotionally invested in. Neither side is wrong.

The problem comes when one side expects the other to think of it the same as they do. For example if I were to join a Master of TF, I can honestly say it wouldn't bother me much(if at all) if we were to fail. Those badges don't mean anything to me. But if I'm going to join, I need to respect the fact that my teammates probably don't feel the same way I do and I need to act accordingly. Meaning I shouldn't run off by myself to try and solo Ghost Widow or Lord Recluse. Attempting that is just disrespectful of what the other players want.

If I'm in a mood that I honestly don't give a damn what my potential teammates want or think(which happens at times), then I don't need to join a team. It's that simple.

In general, I think most conflicts come from arrogance and lack of respect. Arrogance from both camps thinking the other is less than them or somehow wrong for feeling how they do. And not respecting those differences enough to either leave them alone, or give in a little when you do interact with them.

Just like with friends, family, and co-workers, compromise is important. Too many people are too stubborn. Overall I think people, on both sides, need to relax and not get so pissy about stuff. Sure, Random Poster/Player A was a jerk to you, but is he really worth so much anger? Personally I do my best to not let Random Person A(online and RL) get to me. Because that isn't in my best interest. Now I don't always succeed, but that is my goal.

The only people I want to be able to get to me like that are people that are truly important to me. That could be someone I met online(I have a couple of those), or it could be somebody I know personally.

    Two things about that.

    1. Very very early in my posting history I remember making a rather rude comment to you about something(don't remember specifics), and you sent me a PM that said pretty much that(it was blunt but polite). And it stuck with me because you are right. Though I'm not always the nicest poster, that PM has stuck with me and it very often pops into my mind before I make a questionable post. So thanks, because it has helped me!

    2. What you said is exactly how I feel about my involvement in Unleashed.
  4. I start cursing myself for doing this worthless trial. Again.

They've actually tried that many times before, and it's been repeatedly proven that some people think that "because I CAN" gives them the divine right to do whatever they want regardless of explicit weigh-in from the people who run the game.
I like how you spin the devs request to not use exploits. Because we all know Posi's "request" was nothing more than a pissed off, long winded, whiny rant. I actually laughed out loud at him. I'm sure many of us remember the post well.

If you accidentally left your front door unlocked one day when you left for work, does that mean that I have the right to come into your house/apartment/igloo/hovel and take all of your stuff? When you get home, would you just shake your head and say, "Well, I can't blame someone for coming in and robbing me, after all, it was my mistake" and go your merry way? Or would you call the police and want your stuff back and the person responsible punished? What if someone broke your car window while it was parked one day, and the glass guy told you that it would be next Tuesday before they could work you in and get it fixed? Does that give anyone who wants to the right to hop in, hotwire it, and take it for a spin just because they can? I mean, come on, you know that plastic isn't going to stop anyone with minimal effort from being able to get in.

It is a dev mistake, but unlike you, I most certainly DO blame people for using it. Those people are immature, they don't have the best interest of the game at heart, and as I've said before, if being able to exploit the game without consequence is a condition for someone to remain a subscriber, it makes good business sense to not have them around.
Dude equating the abuse of exploits in CoH to felonies(often violent felonies) just hurts your credibility. If that is really what you think of exploit abusers, then you are the one that needs to grow up and be mature. Because this comparison is so laughable that I find it hard to believe that anybody actually believes it.

lol. Good luck trying to control the masses behavior.

All this goes to show - as the developers shold have known going in - that if an exploit can happen, its going to happen. So you better make sure it can't happen, because a million monkeys on a million keyboards are out there 24/7 looking for a crack in your wall. And baby, they're gonna FIND it. And then they're gonna USE it... and they'll invite all their friends when they do.

As for people expecting the developers to employ an army of people as Game Masters so they can investigate every claim of "abuse" all day every day - and then deal out punishment in true Calvinist fashion, "KILL DA WABBIT! THUNDER! LIGHTNING! KILL DA WABBIT!!!!!" *lightning flashes, thunder rolls, a player is banned and gets his exploit toon rolled back to level 1*.... keep dreaming. This bunch just fired thier head animations guy. A key member of the team. You really think they have the resources to hire enough Game Masters to police a 100,000+ player base in a prompt, i.e. daily manner?! Hahahaha.
This. Yall should all listen to B_I more. She is typically right(unless I disagree, then obviously she is wrong ).

I don't really buy this since anybody can make their own SG. If they choose not to, well they don't get the benefits of a SG. And I'm fine with that since it is a choice they made.

People worry about debt? Even before patrol xp was introduced, debt hasn't been a major factor in this game in a long long time.

    Invention salvage
    Recipes
    enhancements

from there one click would take a layer to a storage folder for that specific type of stuff.

I would also like to propose the ability to buy more storage space, of coarse there should be limits as to how much you can buy during a period of time and it should be expensive.

I suggest 50 storage slots (only purchasable once a month), however the price still needs figuring.
I like this idea. But I still think there should be a hard cap on storage. I just think it should be higher than it is now.

I'm not fond of the idea of buying 50 more storage slots every single month.

Personally I liked the ranting whiny dev letter we got from the first exploit. I think they should write one of those every time a new exploit is found. I'm always up for a good laugh.

No thanks, I'd really rather do it on my own. (I do not object to Day Jobs because a Day Job is a reward for logging off in a particular location, so you actually have to proactively do something to get the reward. Additionally, Day Jobs do not affect XP except for the one that mitigates XP debt.)
Insults your pride? Really? You're too sensitive.

    First 50?

Easiest and qickest(that I didn't PL) for me was my Ice/energy blaster. Holds, stuns, tons of damage. That is my suggestion.
  13. Ah what the hell. I'll put in 200M too. @MunkiLord
  14. Wish I would have seen this thread ten minutes ago....I just invested 300M in new base.

Again, not sure how this works outside the US, but what about doing that using a temp credit card number or setting up a bank account that you only use for online purchases? Meaning if you only put money in it when you want to purchase something.

    AE XP Suggestion

/unsigned. I'm perfectly content the way things are now, and I'm against removing XP or reducing it by requiring people to leave AE in order to get all the benefits.
  21. Then you should check us out on Unleashed! It's fun. My sig is a link.
  22. I didn't like it when they got nerfed, so I sure as hell wouldn't like it if they got removed.

First, Khelds are not weak by any stretch of the definition. If somebody has problems with them or their special enemies, then that person should change what they are doing since it is obviously not working.

Second, if you are a person that excludes Khelds from your teams because you think their enemies are too hard, then you are a poor team leader and your team's failures are most likely your fault.

Third, I'm against changes to make the game any easier just to make the game easier. Not everything needs to be so simple a five year old can do it. People that want it easy have plenty of options and concessions given to them over the years. Ability to spawn missions -1 to your level, turn off bosses, debt is so meaningless now that there is actually no reason other than badges to have it in the game, the boss change for level 25 and up was changed shortly after it was implemented, and I'm sure there are several I missed. So voids, quantums, and cysts create an extra challenge? Good! Yall have whined enough to make the game easier, at least allow us that prefer the challenge to keep it.

Scrapper are linebackers and safeties. They just wanna run up to you and punch you in the mouth.

Brutes should be defensive linemen/linebackers for the same reason.
