Is anyone else having issues dowloading the test client?
I got a new machine and put the -test at the end up my updater.exe shortcut like always.
It is launching the patcher, but all I get is Connecting#1,2,59 etc.
Any thoughts? -
Im on Connecting #30 trying to download test, so there might be an issue there

Spring Fling is meh at best.
At least if there is nothing new, you know that no time was wasted on it -
-
But as this is the only voice that we as customers have, what else would you suggest we do?
-
I really hope this is not the big announcement that Mod08 was referring to.
Why do I get the feeling it is? -
A few years back someone had a huge post about this and different ways they thought it could maybe work.
I will once again agree. The Zig needs to be used!! -

In my case the server transfers made them money. I bought new slots just to move 5 toons to Justice.
On another note, does anyone think these free transfers will reduce the number of "I cant get into Freedom for Double XP weekend, the devs are evil!!!!!111!" posts? -

I have a level 40, 38, 16, and 3 levels 1-5 that are getting re-rolled when GR launches... Im chompin at the freakin bit here people!!!!
I would probably give a pint of blood (or 1/2 of a beer) for a juicy tidbit of GR info at this point! -
Quote:Let me ask you this? Before reading this thread did you think Shady Picket meant the same as Dark Sentinel? Yes shady and dark can be synonyms. Picket as a synonym for Sentinel is pushing it. A Thesaurus gives synonyms as well as words related to or in the same category as. 99.9% of people would not say that Picket and Sentinel are synonyms. Mostly because the common image of that word is a guy holding a sign protesting something, not really bringing to mind the strong image of a Sentinel. Either way if you think that regurgitating words from the Thesaurus is "originality" then you are sorely mistaken.Isn't that what a Thesaurus is for, finding words that mean the same thing?
What this argument comes down to is desire vs orginality. You can want a certain name and be frustrated to not get it and it has nothing to do with originality. You can be the most orignal person in the world and still want the certain name that you want. I would argue that those that rely on the Thesaurus do so because they lack originality. Telling someone that wants a certain name they are unoriginal is akin to saying that someone who wants grilled salmon should be happy with poached salmon even though they really wanted it grilled.
For the umpteenth time... anyone taking part in this discussion is free to answer, if there is a total name purge (level1-50) of say anyone's account dormant for 4 years, who does it hurt? Clearly no one reading this because your accounts are active. Why save the names of people who are probably never coming back. Might as well give them to paying customers. If not that many names are freed up, guess what?... Still no one is wronged. -
Maybe we could try pretty please. I doubt it will work, but at this point I am willing to try anything!

Quote:If you think Faint Protector is a good replacement for Dark Sentinel then arguing this with you is pointless. Just because words are listed in a Thesarus doesn't mean that putting them together makes them mean the same thing. This sounds like the old argument, "But I wanna be named THE Batman."
The comicbook character didnt have a orange belt his was black and yellow... and his name didnt have a period after it all the time, just when it was at the end of a sentence...
Thesaurus.

So your telling me that to become ingame... Dark Sentinel that

You're saying all those combinations of all those words and symbols are taken and therefor you should just automatically get a name someone else chose, however long ago... on an account that has never been inactive and who has ALWAYS been subscribed to the game supporting it through ups and downs?
That is your opinion, amirite?
Well, I honestly think that's dumb. I have had over 100 characters at this point and I have never had a problem getting a name. On Virtue or Freedom. -

On the contrary, you just shattered the Earth and the World Police will be there shortly to arrest you! -

Quote:Don't question the way this "math" works, just believe it as gospel!!!At this rate of hemorrhage, I'm expecting the game to hit a negative number of subscribers any month now.
Don't ask me how; it's just the way the math works with the current number of subs minus the increasing amount of "hemorrhaging". I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion once you crunch the numbers as well Arcanaville
Im just a caveman that doesn't understand this "math" so I just blindly follow it!! -
I know that I am hoping for an Evil Monkey demon!!!

I find I have the same problem. I really enjoy the Villan ATs, especially Doms despite their poor reputation to some close-minded people. I also enjoy the look of Redside, its kind of dark and not so neat and clean. I really struggle with the idea of playing a villan though. When I have, I end up trying to play the "anti-villan" or more of mercenary trying to make it in the oppressive Rogue Isles yet not be truly evil.
I guess its good that GR is coming out -

I have an ice tank that I made around Issue 1 or 2 and played to a whoppin level 5. Didnt touch him until I moved him last week. It is hilarious to compare the costumes from back then to now. It like watching an 80s movie with the difference in fashion
