He did say The Well was being 'directed' by someone/something. It's possible that the person guiding The Well wants more Incarnates for... something. Perhaps some kind of party. Something with streamers and party poppers and little paper hats.

Quote:Inspirations are organized in the tray based on color and size, with offensive to the left, defensive in the middle, and healing / awakens to the right. Larger Inspirations go at the top, so as to not accidentally use it. And for some reason, I would rather die then use a large Inspiration that may have saved my life. They tend to get saved for "that next big battle, which will be worse then this", even though a death now is just as bad as a death later. Only later I'll still have the Inspirations!I hang on to medium & large insps like they're somehow earning me interest.
Inspirations are my one true OCD experience in this game. -
You could have three others merely log off, and ask them to log back on to click the glowies once all is dead. I doubt anyone would claim it wasn't soloed based on that.
Of course if someone were that... OCD about soloing, it could be possible to get a GM to assist once you came upon one of those. (after explaining a similar situation to GM_Roland many years ago, he and another GM assisted my friend and I in duoing the Dr Quarterfield TF by clicking the glowies with us once we cleared everything) -
5 Stars: Excellent players who I have relied on repeatedly in the past. 90% used to be 4 starred players.
4 Stars: Great players I've met and teamed with, usually on TFs, though those who are helpful in broadcast / global channels to myself or others may get starred this way.
3 Stars: Players who have done either moderately decent things (been nice during a TF, good humor, assisted with filling to start a TF) that can either be good or bad. The main qualifier to get this is that they do something that stands out, but also isn't out of the realm of "things I would do if in a good/bad mood".
2 Stars: Players who play poorly or have suspicious behavior. Those who DC at the start of a TF and log on shortly later looking for that same TF, for example. This is a "general warning of poor behavior".
1 Star: Players who have done an unforgivable act, or are such amazingly poor team mates I begin to question their genetics. 90% of those who receive this rating were once 2 starred. None have been raised from this level yet.
All ratings are subject to change based on the player's current behavior. Those who have had a bad night can redeem themselves. Notes are used to detail the extent of the transgression or expound their virtues. Notes are never deleted, only updated. -

No worries, it's a common mistake and I probably would have fallen for the same pitfall if I hadn't thought it odd they worded it specifically mentioning Enhancement Diversification in each Alpha Slot boost.
-
As near as I can tell, all forms of "salvage" (including Merits and shards) are deletable. The basic salvage was deletable when they were created (base and invention), and all forms following them use the same ideals (as far as I know. I've never actually deleted anything I didn't mean to, knock on wood).

What you're missing is that the Alpha slot is not a bonus to your character, but a universal Enhancement that affects all your powers (that it can affect: Equip Thug won't get more damage because Damage can't be slotted there, for example). That means where you need to look to see the effect of your Alpha slot power is in the Enhancement management screen, and specifically the Detailed Info portions.
The Alpha slot works just like an enhancement, and is affected by Enhancement Diversification just like any other enhancement (with the exception to the portion unaffected as listed by the Alpha slot enhancement you crafted). The best way to see it's effects, is to find a power you don't have slotted for damage (or recharge, depending on what you have slotted) and view it's Detailed Info. That's where you'll see the 33% show up best. For those powers that are already at the ED cap for Damage, check their numbers without the Alpha Musculature Boost slotted, then slot it and check their numbers again. -
Quote:TK is a great power once it's slotted heavily for Endurance and Recharge. It's a Mag 3 Hold that doesn't require an Accuracy check and has a small AoE that can hit an additional four targets. This makes stacking holds very easy with your Single Target hold (and down right amazing if you're playing a Dominator and use Domination with it).Telekinesis- solo power I think. I don't have it in my build. And with everyone running around all willy-nilly and knocking stuff around and taking out your targets, it's hard to line em up and pin them into a corner with this one. I imagine this one is good when you are on a small team, and you pin em to the corner while another guy pounds on em. TK is also a PVP thing, which i don't know much about.
The Repel effect does make it situational, as the target can be accidentally pushed into another spawn and the AoE would aggro them, so walls and corners become your best friend. Fortunately, the AoE aspect of the hold and repel mean it can pick up members of the same spawn, allowing for a nice clumping of about five enemies.
All in all, it's a decent power for small teams or solo players, and slotted gives some unique effects. It's a power that requires practice though, as most players can live their whole lives never touching a power with Repel in it. -
Quote:Well the Accolade could be for specific Giant Monsters, similar to how existing Accolades are for specific badges and future ones aren't crowbarred in. Gathering a handful of Giant Monsters to include in the Accolade could be tough, as they would need to be thematic and loosely related. Perhaps Babbage, Kronos Titan, Paladin and the Arachnos Flier could grant a technology based badge. The Ghost of Scrapyard, Deathsurge, Caleb and Adamaster could grant some kind of mystical or undead related badge. You bring up good points. I believe your beginning points are more or less moot in light of GR. (Although I would hate to gate an accolade to only those that have GR.) Your final point, however, is the most problematic. They way I would do it is simply have he badge apply to "legacy" GM's, or the ones that were around when the badge was put in place.

Well, I suppose the obvious name could be "Monster Hunter". And the bonuses would have to be either a passive or active power. I'd like something offensive instead of the shields, or another boost to max health or endurance.

No. No toggles can be run while in forms. The only powers that work in forms are Click powers that have a lasting affect (outside of PB's Light Form). So Hasten will work, but Super Speed will not. Vengeance will work, but Tactics will not.

Quote:Because you apparently didn't actually read the thread, I'll break it down to save you the effort:I could have sworn there was a change with like, issue 16 or 17 that made fitness work while in the forms. Bleh, this needs to happen, that was one of the only things that might have actually gotten me to play one again :/ In addition to any other pool powers available.
Your idea of history was wrong, and fitness had not changed to work in the forms before Issue 19. Issue 19 made Fitness Inherent and allowed it to work in the forms. No other power pools have changed in regards to Kheldians and their forms. -
The best advice I can give for the sled run, is Super Jump and Sprint on the whole time, and using Super Speed for the occasional flat part until you get used to it. Then run Super Speed the whole time. Super Speed only helps a little, but that little can be the difference between 50.88 (curse youuuuu!) and a 49.
Oh, and take the portal at the fork (go left), not the blue geyser (right bad). Makes all the difference. At the second fork, I've gone both ways, and the left is the faster so long as you make the jump. -
Well I wanna thank you and Undone for calming my fears and reminding me that no the game isn't broken, I just don't understand it enough.

Quote:I just logged in on my Warshade, and the buff icons stay while in forms, and the numbers are still in the combat attributes. It's not Castle that screwded up here.No one has posted anything post I19 to point out that the inherent fitness that we were told would be available in Kheldian forms is not actually working that way.
The buff icons drop when you change forms, and the numbers drop from combat attributes. So, did Castle actually screw up , or is this working as intended? Maybe this is a known bug? -
Plus, all those web pieces that got broken in the first mission of the TF forced him to start it up early. That means his hand got forced and a fully completed web may not have the restrictions that an incomplete web would have.

That's really weird. I've had that character for years and never noticed it. I think the proc has a ten percent so i associated it with that, but never saw any other proc doing it. And I don't recall seeing the chance for dissorient rolling to hit, but I don't play with many characters where the power's focus is damage, with a chance to dissorient secondary effect.
I'm still going to play atound with it once I get home, probably use that second build to test the power without the proc.
Update: So I'm home now, and I think Come Undone has it right. It looks like it's matching up with the disorient chance, which makes zero sense to me. Why is the chance to disorient even showing up in the to hit rolls? In either case, it doesn't seem to be affecting the chance to hit for the other attacks, which is good.
I'm still confused to heck, but I'm at least relieved to know my powers and such aren't... broken for me. Horray? -
Quote:Arcana, I hate to ask this now because I can't get on my computer and get screenshots, but I've been getting weird results with the Melee Purple Proc. I monitored my to hit channel, and noticed that when i activated my Dark dwarf smite, it rolls two to hit checks, one at my normal to hit (95%) which can change with debuffs and one at a constant 10% which doesnt change. I noticed it doesn't roll any other "extra" to hit checks with other ptocs. I just gotta know, do you think this could be affecting my steakbreaker? Each entity ("attacker") has it's own miss counter and worst miss percentage, and therefore essentially their own streakbreaker. All attacks used by that attacker count towards the same counters. That's why using a very bad accuracy attack in the middle of an otherwise good chain of attacks can hurt a little, because it can effectively turn off the streakbreaker until that particular misss streak is broken.
I promise to log in late tonight and get pics for you, and even try and get some high volume rolls. -
I think he means the last three slots from leveling to 50, when he says "meager 3 last slots".
With that said, I don't really get behind making 50 "special". I don't really find there to be a need for it, though I'm always open to reviewing new ideas for interesting points or ideas. Unfortunately, I don't really see anything worthy within this idea. -
Quote:I'm sorry, but I think you've completely misunderstood what I said. I've never made an opinion either way on this subject, let alone expressed a leaning to either side on what "needs" to be done besides being level 10 to send in game E-mails. I merely stated that one must level to 10 to be able to send in game E-mails, and that the step was left out of the process.Just because it's something "you" want doesn't automatically make it something that "needs" to be done.
And it's funny watching you casually trivialize other peoples opinions by claiming that anyone who disagrees with you is doing the same thing. Pot meet Kettle.
And my comment regarding trivializing something, was people trivializing the leveling process, not someone's opinion because they disagreed with me (see above for how someone can disagree with an unexpressed opinion). And I'm not really sure why you're sassing me over this. -
-
No I didn't. It's still a step that needs to be taken, even if some people can trivialize it.
