  1. Oh that's good.

    Oh I like that.

I'm going to make a Villain group called "Lumpen Cartel" now, thanks to you
  2. {QR}

Why is it he only really posts the really GOOD stuff while I'm at work, and unable to see it as it happens? Yesterday it was his ignore list in his signature, today it was calling someone's child retarded. Man, this is simply amazing.

Oh, and B_I. Am I in your lumped "cartel", or not? Curiosity drives me to know!
  3. Pa-lease. Despite my lower post count, I've had Cartel Status long before you. :P Don't tell ME how to get into the Cartel, I told your parents, and your parent's parents, how to get in.

    ....

Technically, I think B_I owes me $20 anyway. She made an open bet about how someone would PM her something, and when I tried, I found myself on her Ignore list (not sure for how long). So I think I technically earned that.

Or it was P_P who owes me, I'm not sure. But someone owes me a $20, damn it!

Also, the stamina thing was merely a suggestion that could not possibly hurt anyone, if anything it would just give players like myself that enjoy using lots and lots of endo to kill stuff and surviv, customize our builds a little better.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I disagree that it could not possibly hurt anyone, as it would unbalance many things. The game is balanced around not needing Stamina, however it has because a staple because of many reasons, not the least of which is that it is good, really good, to have.

    [ QUOTE ]
Also, brushing off PvP as the minority is counterproductive.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I did not "brush off" PvP as a minority. It IS a minority. That's factual in that the majority of players do not participate in it. This has been acknowledged by the Developers, and they are working on correcting that by making PvP easier to engage in for the average player, something I applaud them for their intent, if not product.

Finally, trying to dictate what posts may, or may not, be placed in a forum, or their contents, is a battle that's lost to all but a few (those few being those with Moderation powers). If you wish to have a discussion, on any topic, you must accept that people will post what they wish, just as you may.

(You may notice that I specifically avoided both of your "points of this topic", because I do not find your anecdotal evidence regarding the difficulty of finding a team over time to be compelling, nor does the current population of PvP concern me.)

    Enhancements

When you get closer to 100% (for Type A Enhancements like Damage, Accuracy, etc), enhancements you slot start to give less. So by slotting Three SOs worth of any Enhancement, you essentially reach the soft cap for that type of Enhancement.

That of course works differently for other types of Enhancements, like Resistance and Defense, where the soft cap is lower, because the Enhancements give a smaller Percentile. But it still works out so that Three SOs worth of an Enhancement is close enough to the soft cap for government work.
  6. Presence or Fitness, I think, would be the ones I'd look into. I'd probably look into just grabbing Leadership. When a big green woman talks, people tend to listen to what she has to say. (or at least scream and run the other direction)
  7. Yes to which parts? All of it? Just the last sentence in which I establish that "a PvP build focusing on dueling is above the normal requirements of PvE play, the play that the majority of the game is balanced around"?

And if it's "just a suggestion", is it one you "just threw out there", or one you want because you believe it would make the game better for everyone?

I'm trying to communicate here so we can establish a dialog that is constructive to your cause, so you can explain the whys and whats at the core of your suggestion. You're not being very accommodating to that cause. You can give a 10 line response to a perceived insult, but can't spare more then 9 words to me?
  8. Then to reach your personally required level of optimization (for your PvP duels), you need Stamina, because the other options (slotting End Red, getting sets that give +Rec, using Rest) aren't available to you (or if they are, not enough to warrant mentioning). Right?

This desire to have a PvP build does not require the game be altered to give more endurance out, does it? After all, I feel we can agree that a PvP build focusing on dueling is above the normal requirements of PvE play, the play that the majority of the game is balanced around. Can we agree on that, at least?

  10. Those aren't terrible builds. They just not optimized.

If you're looking for absolute optimization, then yes, Stamina is required to reach a level of optimization you are looking for. That's already been mentioned previously.

I'm confused as to what you're looking for? You want someone to show you an optimized PvP build, or a farming build, without Stamina? And one that you personally don't think sucks?

And when we do (Warshade), you'll make the assumption that you must now only play Warshades? Well, if you want an optimized build without Stamina, yeah, you'd pretty much have to play a specific build, AT, etc. That's what you ASKED for.
  11. That make you wait until 15 to pick the first one. Then 25 to pick a second and change the first. Then at 30 and 40 you can change both or either, or neither of them (or is it 35 and 45, I can't remember). Then at 50 you get unlimited change options, just by swinging by any Trainer.

The titles are already arbitrarily level locked (just like a LOT of other things which are "just a cute little addition to the game" like capes, auras, certain weapon and costume pieces, etc), so there is precedence to keep it that way, even if not in the provided example.

A better reply would be to suggest that levels 30 and 40 add something to the current system. For example:

What if at level 30, you unlocked your "neighbor" titles, ones found on origins "next to" your origin (in that Magic and Tech are neighbors to Natural). Then at level 40, you unlock those NOT your "neighbors" (Mutant and Science, which don't share any DOs with Natural).

That adds to the current system, and follows a set precedence already established.
  12. I have a thought, you keep putting "archetype", when you mean to say "origin". Otherwise... I'm very "meh" about the idea and can't bring myself to care too much about it.

So it isn't just me? The same people which you referred to as "forumistas" are following me around agreeing with one another regardless of how idiotic it is? Hmmm.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes. In fact, the entire Forum Cartel has made it their goal to drive you from the game by contradicting everything you say on the forums. And also cutting your brake lines.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hey that reminds me, I can't make the Forumites meeting this Thursday. If I could get a copy of the agenda Friday morning, I'd appreciate it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No problem Tony, I'll get a copy over to you. You know you can't get a copy of the logs though, right? That stuff is burn after reading, FYEO.
  14. I've done this, to an extent, with my Warshade. I built her so that the forms were basically capped out on slots, with left over slots building up Human form powers I needed.

You can probably end up shaving slots off when you combine set bonuses, but it does end up being slot heavy.

In the end, I used Set Bonuses to ensure I had plenty of Accuracy, Recharge, and Endurance Recovery. It worked out pretty well for my offense capabilities, something I geared up more for my Dwarf Form then Nova, but still, those sets do help out any form.

I've seen people cap out Ranged Defense on their WS, making Nova Form practically untouchable, and really, that's some serious survivability when you have capped Resists, and capped Ranged Defense on a hover Blaster.

Go or it! See what you can boost and see how it works!
  15. Another bucket for Madame? And the cleaning woman.

Edit: At 5:30-5:40, one of the actors in the scene actually does throw up from being so nauseated. Bottom right corner for those with a strong stomach.
  16. It's to make sure that if the credit card is stolen, it gives the company and owner time to find out and stop it before the bills get racked up.
  17. Just wait until you get to 50, and can jump into a spawn set for 8, hit Eclipse, Mire, Nova and rain death upon the next two spawns!

Only to have it recharge in time for spawn four to do it over again. Teams? What's that? Those are those things that increase the spawn sizes, right? How nice of them!
  18. Can I change my answer?

If my Kheldians can get access to PPPs, then yeah, I might send one over to do that. >.> Extra powers I don't need FTW!

One would presume, due to various differences in the dimensions, that Praetoria has not had to deal with Rikti invasions and villain sabotage. When you rule with an iron fist, you can keep things as clean as you want to in your HQ. I would presume there are slums and hovels where the freedom fighters of Praetoria reside.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Praetoria did have a Rikti invasion. But the general assumption is that they fended it off much better, being ruthless and all.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is there evidence of this? Given the scenario that lead to our Rikti invasion (I'm trying to avoid spoilers) I sincerely doubt the Rikti would have invaded - unless it was for another reason entirely...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Without giving out spoilers, and keeping in mind how Parallel Worlds work in the CoH universe (a much greater range of differences between worlds, and fewer 'omg they're just like us but coin flips have opposite outcomes!'), it seems to be that it would be VERY unlikely that Preatorian Earth suffered a Rikti Invasion, let alone even got the attention of the Rikti.
  20. (actually, I really liked the play off titles. Especially because it wasn't what I was expecting. )

I've only got two Kheldians, a level 50 WS, and a level 24 WS. I don't see either of them going Rogue. My 50, "a little bunny" is just naturally good, though I could see taking her Neutral. The level 24 one is part of a set, so won't be going anywhere without the five others who share her name.

But really, I can see the appeal of taking one Rogue. I might take a VEAT Rogue though. Just for kicks and giggles.
  21. No, you just stumbled upon a decent suggestion. I know, I know. They're rare and elusive. Don't scare this one away!

However, I also agree with the OP's suggestion and desire for more Targeted AoE Recipes.

Are you getting tired of the game nerfs? If so, plaese speak your mind here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I got tired of the Nerf a long time ago. There comes a point when shooting your friends with foam pellets just ceases to be fun.

    [/ QUOTE ]

LIES! There is NEVER a point where it just ceases to be fun. There is, how ever, a point where you Grow Up.
  23. Tying an Inherent to health is, in my opinion, a universally "Bad Idea". Similar to Defiance's tactics of "hurt yourself before the fight for maximum damage" and "run in before the Tanker gets aggro so you can get a damage boost", so would we see instances of "everyone jump off the building before we start, so I can apply mad bubbles"

Instead, I would suggest ways to enhance what Defenders do that do not rely on the relative HP of their team. Perhaps a form of Supremacy that stacks with other Defenders. Or a reverse Cosmic Balance, where for every Blaster on a team, everyone there gets a boost to Resistance, every Tanker on a team, everyone there gets a boost to Damage, etc, etc. And of course, Defenders would, simply by being there, give their own boost to Damage to everyone there, including themselves. The specific amounts can be debated (perhaps a 5-7% range), but I kind of like either of these ideas more then tying their Inherent to HP of anyone.
