Plus his real job is being a baby sitter for Dr. Aeon. That would make anyone grumpy.

It's certainly true that Reactive is the best choice for almost everyone (the exception being those that rely on sleep abilities) when soloing, it's less true in groups and especially less so in itrials. If a lot of people have reactive slotted (and they probably will) then a fair chunk of the damage procs league wide will be lost due to the stacking limit. Having a less popular inferface ability makes it more likely that your procs will actually effect the mobs.

Quote:The 11/15 patch broke them for blue side. For some reason, it didn't affect any of my blue sided based until this past weekend. FoJ didn't turn bugged until Friday night, iirc.
From Zwill:

The issue which was causing VG Bases to attack players has spread via the Paragon City internet to SG bases, causing Hero side bases with defensive objects to be...defensive...against Heros. Note, this isn't live yet, however it will start happening after tomorrow's publish. So please, if you don't want your base attacking you, remove these defensive objects from your base. While I know that some of you will enjoy this bug, there will be some who do not appreciate the sudden base related aggression. To those who may be upset by this development, we sincerely apologize.
We're working on publishing a fix for this issue ASAP, however please be aware that this may persist through the holiday weekend.

I'm in favor of having a leash power that lets you tie the escorted npc to you so they have to keep up. Either that or a Little Red Wagon that they can sit in while you pull them out. Or if you're a strong enough character throw them over your shoulder.

If you have a single person supergroup buying this second account is a good way to be able to invite your own characters (from the primary account) to the SG in the future. Just create one character (or two if you need groups on both sides) and (with two sessions running) invite that character to the SG and promote him to the second highest rank. Once you lapse back to premium that character will still have the ability to invite and promote new members. It's what I did when they had the same sale for Freedom's Pre-Launch.

The Rikti became Rikti at a vaguely defined point in the past (thousands of years) due to the intervention of an unnamed alien race. The world wide psychic network they have leads to a society where individuals rarely become seen as outstanding individually. Hro'Dtohz is an important exception, having characteristics such as personal ambition that most Rikti don't really understand.
The conflict with the Battalion occured approximately 100 years ago causing the Rikti to increase the size of the military, which normally had only small ceremonial roles in their society. After defeating the Battalion the Lineage of War again became a small part of the population and remained that way until shortly before the invasion of Primal Earth. The Rikti war machine was put in full force for that meaning most Rikti soldiers were not part of the Lineage of War prior to the conflict. Hro'Dtohz, for example, had been a historian before showing his military leadership potential in the current conflict. -
We had some in game discussion on the timing of the SSA rewards and debate over how it's supposed to work. Here is Positron's answer:
Quote:Here's a link to the source of the quote. To clarify the rewards on the SSA's.
There is a "First Time Played" reward, that is independent of the 1-week cooldown. Thus when you first play an SSA, it will seem like you can get two rewards. In the following weeks it will only be one.
All SSA's share the same week-long cooldown, so when you have SSA 1.1 and SSA 1.2 and SSA 1.3, you can only get one week-long cooldown reward, not one for each.
The above is the reason for the "First Time Played" reward. A player who starts playing SSAs in the middle or the end of the arc isn't gated by the week-long cooldowns. They can play each SSA and get the good reward table every time. Only after they have done the "First Time" will they be gated further by the week-long cooldown.

Atlas Park isn't crowded because it's the starting zone. It's crowded because that's where people hang out looking for DFB groups.

AM also provides a strong damage buff, status effect resistance, and movement speed increase. And it's always good to have when you're on a team regardless of archetype.

So if you hire MP and her crack team of commandos to help get badges and you don't get them, it's your own fault. ;-)

Quote:I'd say that this is a matter of what your specific archetype or build needs. Not worth it unless you're going for theme:
IDF
Rikti
Arachnos
Nemesis
Robotic Drones
Vanguard
Clockwork
Carnival
The Rikti support pet, for example, has Accelerate Metabolism which is hugely useful for Masterminds (not to mention teammates). -

This praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery
if inscribed over human Ashes,
is but a just tribute to the Memory of
BOATSWAIN, a DOG....

Quote:Or maybe he's still a conniving scoundrel. The Letter Writer (not that we have any reason to trust him/her) certainly implies that. And he isn't too happy with Ramiel helping the player to become an incarnate. He's also violating the the (supposed) inablility to travel further back in time than one's tether. On the subject of Mender Silos/Nemesis, why doesn't he go back and "mend" starting the Rikti war in the first place? Surely this one event would have a much greater impact and Swell the amount of defense available against the "coming storm".
Or perhaps it would prevent people from seeing the need to invent an emergency medical transport system? lol
Alternatively, the current Nemesis wouldn't actually listen to someone claiming to be a future version of himself. Or maybe we need the Rikti war machine running at full speed so that they can assist in fighting a greater threat. -

Here's a follow up that I can't find on that timeline: When was the first contact with Rikti Earth? I know when Portal Corp first established contact they were not considered to be a threat. Of course they really weren't a threat until <Redacted: Omega Level Clearance Required>

I think you have all of them listed except that you got the Infected (the guys in Mercy Island) mixed up with the Contaminated (the guys in the old tutorial.)

Quote:An example of the strength of the power: I've seen Marauder hit by it and start puking in Lambda because of it. It would be nice if it could be cast on teammates instead of just henchmen. Being able to put it on a main tank would be more effective than using a henchman who may or may not decide to stay close enough to the mobs to make it work.I'm going to say no to this idea, what you don't know is that the NGas has a VERY powerful mag hold vs Humans only, it checks about every second and last about 1 or 2 secs to animate the barfing.
If it got turned into a toggle that would go bye bye and i don't want that. It's why i love my Poison. Its unique.
"The vomiting Hold effect is rare (less than a 1% chance of occurring per half-second), unaffected by Enhancements and buffs, and applies only to human critters and to other players in PvP, but it has enough magnitude to surpass any protection in the game and is unaffected by status resistances and PvP mez suppression.
The debuff values vary depending on the tier of henchmen the power is used on; the debuffs seem to be at 75% strength on a tier 1 pet, 100% strength on a tier 2 pet, and 125% strength on a tier 3 pet."

This is hardly the first arc where you're stuck with doing things in a way that make you think, "I wouldn't do it that way." The engine just isn't flexible enough for you to have more than a very few limited options. It isn't like a pen-and-paper game where a real live human game master is sitting there to hear your idea of an alternate approach and rule on how well it would work.
As far as this particular arc it's explicit (even on the hero side it you bother reading the debriefing) that Miss L was dead before you started fighting Blitz, so bypassing him wouldn't save her. Red side it's made clear that Malaise makes her appear to die just as the heros get there solely to make Manticore (and the blue player) feel that they could have saved her if they'd only been faster.
Since this arc is not a fully story by itself, Alexis' death must occur to drive the plot. And even though we know that one of the Surviving Eight will die, we don't know that that will mean a victory for the baddies in the end. We still don't know what they REALLY want. At this point it looks like they want to steal Statesman's powers, but that may be a red herring. And they may not get him anyway. We know someone is going to die, but we don't know that it will be the target the villains are after. Maybe someone else steps in to make the heroic sacrifice that ruins the baddies' plans once and for all.
