Nevermind the fact that water effects on ATi GPUs have been broken for over 2 years. -
There could be a compromise to the size thing.
You could have the activation of Granite inflate your height to that of the original model, yet have the costume overlays. The maximum height you're willing to be could be an auxiliary slider. I don't know if your animation system allows tweening heights like that, but that would be a cool replacement. -
