I sense a more fundamental change than just another post-process effect and a mix of old and a handful of new world objects. Other than that I went to turn on my car today (1989 Camaro) and the radiator fan did not turn on as I had expected it to.

I pop up the hood, and the wires leading into the relay were all fised together in this bumpy mass that looked like different colors of chewed taffy smushed together.
I found an old relay in the back of the garage and spliced some wires together. The color just didn't match up, meaning there was a 50% chance that I would be witness to a wondrous explosion of electronics.

It worked, though, so here I am. No, I don't get scorched with bitchin camaro energies and come back as some vigilante with powers I never asked for.
