Quote:Not a great solution, but...
Transfer 8 million inf to the SG leader (or another character with both base edit and base upkeep rights) and buy 16K prestige. Yeah, it sucks.
Or get someone to help invite another of your alts to the group.Quote:*sigh* They need a new name for those. Once more I read that as bacon.
MMMmmm... bacon. -
I've got a couple of alts that I still need to add, at least two of mine and at least one of my wifes. I'll have to do that sometime this weekend.

Quote:I figured out (after doing this a few times) that if it doesn't move or open/close its doors, it's the wrong train... Though it's been a very long time since I've made that mistake. One thing that everyone has done (not that many will actually admit it) is thinking that the trains are broken because we're desperately clicking on the "exit" door instead of the entrance. In case you haven't yet seen the train there's a big entrance in the middle and a small exit off to the side.

I can see tabs being useful for organizing, say, hundreds of badges.
But not for dealing with 20 on-going transactions.
My three favorite features of the new market UI are;
Tabs
Auto-fill prices
Vertical layout for the bottom pane
The reason is this; I don't spend a lot of time in the market place. I run by, collect all the pending inf I have, review my bids (to see if I should cancel anything), then drop my salvage in there.
I drop all of my common salvage in for the same price; 250 or 300 inf. I drop all my uncommon in for the same price; 1000 inf. I also drop all of my rare for the same price (unless the going price is much higher than my default price which is slightly above vendor).
The three features above make this process take less time.
There are some times when I play the market a little (find stuff that can be vendored for more than 3x the market price or craft stuff to sell), but for the most part this is how I use the market.
I can see some of the problems that people are complaining about, but most of them don't affect me often enough to complain. Put me down for pro new market.
Oh, the one thing that I'd like to see changed the most is if the all tab actually showed everything at once, much like the previous version of the UI. -
Ah, didn't think of someone leaving, I deleted a character that was in the SG... dangit, now I need to come up with another 15000 or so prestige to get the teleporter working again.
-
In an effort to speed the building of my SGs first Teleporter room, I traded roughly 30mil inf for prestige. Afterwards I built a TP room and ended with very little prestige in the positve (1000 or something). I logged in today and found that I have -7416 prestige.
How is that even possible?
Edit: That was after selling the AP beacon I had so I could put in a Brickstown one. -
If this is your motherboard; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?EdpNo=3642074
Then that case should fit. I'm not sure the size of the liquid cooling system, but I've seen several cases where the cooling pump was actually located outside of the case, like so;
Good luck. -
Quote:I see, you were reverse hack jerked.Im telling u that I had a bunch of really expensive sets.. orange lettered special sets. that were mixed up and slotted like sorrocco ( of course wrong spelling). all the Mako bite stuff. Orange handcuff looking enhancements. every thing i had was some type of special enhancement.. Did u ever see the purple enhancement that u can only use as 1 slot. I think its for a pet. check the black market. some of things cost 50 million a pop. this was one of my early toons that i used and didnt know what half the stuff meant was just trying to get bigger overall bonuses.. 168 million at least i should of gotten back... go to the black market recipes for enhancements are very very expensive. 50 SO's are for rookies...
The price on the black market for the enhancement has nothing to do with the amount of inf you get for it during a respec.
Quote:Approx 96 slots on a L50 character. Plus 10 "inventory."
If you had a level 50 (normal) set IO in every slot you'd get back approximately 500K per
= 53 million inf. There is no way I'm aware of to get more than that.
If you had a level 50 SO in every slot you'd get back about 5.5 million.
Simplest explanation is, you misread a zero.
DO you have about 16 million inf?
Lets assume that you have the most expensive possible enhancement slotted in every slot you have, these have a crafting cost of 600,000 (there are none that I can find that have a higher crafting cost than that). 94 slots total (including sprint, brawl, and rest) x 600,000/2 = 28.2mil Note that it is impossible, or so close to impossible that it can reasonably stated that it is impossible, to have a build this expensive.
Based on that, I'm assuming that you didn't have nearly as awesome of a build as you believed you had, making 16 million a much more realistic number.
Edited to correct math. -
Quote:I should give that a try. It started to annoy me a little when they switched AVG so I could no longer just shut off the various pieces in my Task Master. Good program, otherwise. Macafee and Norton were good for their day, but their day was a decade ago and they've become these monstrous system hogs I won't even look at anymore.Quote:I've seen recent reviews that Norton is now lean, mean and efficient.
I have no personal experience since I ditched it years ago when the bloat started.
I've run a full system scan while playing CoH. It took a long time, but it completed and it didn't slow the game enough to be noticeable (except on load times, it added another 5-10 seconds to those).
As far as free; you get what you pay for. It might be functional, but it's not likely that it's efficient or effective. -
That was me... I was not mistaken about the AI. I've played this game a lot and know how it works, it just reminded me strongly of a few PUGs I've been on and their behavior. It was a joke that surprisingly few people caught.
-
Have you tried mapping them via the options menu? What do they show up as there?
-
This feature is very welcome. I can't count the number of times I've lost a handful of minions in a kill all mission over the years.
-
You can navigate the boards and you can move files from one drive to another. You've got more going for you than at least one sysadmin I've met.
-
Safe mode corrects your graphics settings, you can then change your settings.
If you didn't, it just picked up your settings when it loaded and fixed whatever was wrong. I've seen stuff like that fix issues in the past such as enabling debug mode or booting a machine into safe mode... it just forces it to recognize settings that it was missing before sometimes. *shrug* -
Quote:QFT BFE.What the others say is true, there's a wealth of information on Paragonwiki.com and other player driven sites linked to it to. And this games tutorial and way it guides you at the beginning is great. Just avoid sewer teams and the AE to start and do your starting contact to begin with, heck even solo for a bit if you feel like you would look a fool otherwise, and read all the stuff that pops up in the tutorial and your first contacts missions. Walk before you can run, many people have gone for instant gratification of levels and just completely missed how to play the game in recent times. You will find many old timers on each server willing to help out as althought there is phat lewt in this game, there is not as much emphasis on it till the later game and is not neccessary to do any of the content.
Welcome to City of Heroes, may your stay be as long and enjoyable as mine
Hawk, you need to change your avatar... it keeps jacking threads. -

/quit
That'll exit the game completely.
There's one to log out to the login screen as well, but I can't remember it off hand.
EDIT: Same rules apply as normal log out, prompt for you to log out immediately, 30 seconds of online before your character poofs. -
Good idea on bringing lunch to work, however I do that already... and it really only saves me about $2 a day.
I'll probably do a transfer, but I doubt I'll do it within the next month or two... the toon I want to transfer is a lvl 34 version of the lvl 50 I have on Freedom, but he was one of the first characters I made (never got isolator because badges didn't exist yet when he was in the tutorial). I'm pretty sure I would even lose his name, and it's a really cool name.
Oh well, I guess I wait. -
CityBinder is the best one that I'm aware of, but I think this question is in the wrong forum.

Quote:And only running into one or two crazies in an online community that consists of gamers is not likely. Not a lot percentagewise, but it only takes one or two really crazy people to ruin your year. (I've seen it happen in online communities.)
Odds of that many posting in a thread rapidly approaches 1 when things like AE or nerfs are mentioned. -
-
I *barely* missed the free character transfers and I have a character on Victory with the Celebrant badge that I'd like to move to Freedom... The problem is; I can't find the cost of a character transfer anywhere.
I see the instructions on how to do it, but I can't seem to find the actual price.
Anyone know? -

Mine's currently fixing pigg files as well, it took well over 3 hours to fix the sound.pigg file. It got through that one and is moving on at a slow but steady pace from there. I think there were some major changes to the sound.pigg file which it is changing one at a time... irritating really.
