  1. ((-.- Well that just made running away a moot point. Of course, we're now minus a teammate...))
  2. ((Pfft, since when has logic ever applied here?))

    Hide Your Heart

((Plenty read, but few comment, from my experience here, anyway. It's appreciated, just silently. ))
  4. "Ah, crap..." Dusan said aloud, jerking his head over his shoulder to look at Energon-X. He glanced around the room and gave everyone he saw around him a speed boost, namely: Klaus, The Sword Colonol, The Sword Sorcerer, and himself. He then bolted, running back from whence he came.

"Damn damage dealers!" He screamed before exiting the others' hearing range.
  5. "Whoa..." Dusan simply said as he sensed Klaus's spirit faulter when he entered the cell. "This is either really good or really bad... Or neither... Hell, I dunno..." He said, trailing off after 'bad'. "In any case, I should check it out..." He muttered as he strolled over into Cell No. 3...
  6. Jake gazed at the two a moment, taking the time to scan their faces and, once that was done, completely and totally disregard them. What Jake had pulled up on them was essentially nothing. Not any record of crime, nor any record of employment in Arachnos. Jake had assumed the obvious, and disregarded them with a yawn and a wave of his hand.

"Whatever." He said, not concealing his disinterest. "Can we please get to the planet now? I'm getting impatient."
  7. "I agree with that guy." Jake said, gesturing in Grey's direction. "We gotta get down there a-sap. We're not gonna complete the objective sitting up here."

Jake folded his arms and looked upon the rest of the task force, awaiting a comment.
  8. "At least someone listens..." Dusan muttered as he heard the Sword Colonol agree to his proposition, only to get cut off shortly after by the Sorcerer.

    [ QUOTE ]
"Over here!" shouted the Sword Sorcerer as he emerged from the passage that led to the prison, waving to the group as the tracker slipped into the main chamber beside him, "I think you'll find this most interesting..."

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Alright then." Dusan said aloud, pushing himself off of the wall and onto his feet. "Now we're getting somewhere." He grinned and stepped forward. "Lead the way, captain."
  9. "Yeah, it'll be a fight I won't regret!" Dusan shouted back, clearly aggrevated with the two of them.

[i]Dammit, now look at me. That guy's frustration's rubbing off on me..."
  10. Dusan got what appeared to be an anime sweat drop on his brow as he watched the two barely cover their slaughter with an excuse as they nonchalantly walked into the teleport chamber.

"And they wonder why we're at each others' necks. They're off completely ignoring everyone!" He said, leaning against a wall and sighing. "Those damage types are all the same. 'Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill!' It's never strategy with them..."
  11. Dusan shook his head and dared to look into the now quiet room, taking note of the three exits the Council seemed to have been guarding.

"Call me crazy," He started, beginning to walk into the room, "But I think we should take the one labeled 'Cells'"
  12. Wirespike chuckled and nodded, glancing back over at his double to check his progress. "Yeah, Jake never really was good on a team..."
  13. Jake stopped and turned to Kip, eyeing him with a 'Are you serious?' type of look.

"A) I dunno how you heard me, maybe I said that a bit louder than I thought I did, but still. And B) That was sarcasm spoken out of aggrevation. You know, the thing that describes what people say when they're not serious?" Jake sighed. "I'm just saying, not like I'm criticising(sp? I'm tired right now.) or anything." Jake walked off again, leaving Wirespike sighing and shaking his head.

"You'll have to forgive him, he's not in his right mind right now..."
  14. Jake instinctively turned toward Lk'Onik as she came in babbling nonsense and incomprehensible syllables. He subconsciously rose two flat palms, the universal sign of 'Slow the Hell down!'. "Calm down for a second! What's the matter?" He said, trying to command as much attention as he could.
  15. Dusan took a few moments to regain his head, observing the situation, which honestly wasn't much considering the wall of bullets obstructed his view. Closing his eyes, he attempted to detect the souls of those deemed friendly, hostile, and Klaus. He mentally charted the locations of his allies and foes, and took note of the overly-hostile nature he detected in the Council. He focused again, and attempted to see through one of the Council's eyes so that he could get a better perspective on the situation.
  16. Jake scowled as the mention of further work entered his ear. "Ugh, why can't we just drop a nuke on them and get it over with?" He muttered, walking in the general direction of the teleporter.

"Rest assured, we'll take care of things." Wirespike said curtly, smiling as he walked only a few steps behind his double.
  17. Jake's eyebrows rose as he witnessed the turn of events on the screen. "Well..." He simply said. "That's a sudden turn of events."

"No kidding." Wirespike muttered, folding his arms.

"So what does this mean for us? Forgive me, I'm not up on my current events."
  18. Dusan! Dennis thought frantically as he saw the horribly bad position his buddy was in. He immediately abandoned his hopes for attack, and suddenly rematerialized in front of Dusan, appearing just in time to take the fire for his friend. Dusan, expecting a wave of hurt, was taken by surprise when he heard the familiar sound of bullets making contact with something, but the painful part of that experience being amiss. As he looked up, he simply saw Dennis shooting daggers at him with his eyes, telling him to roll off to the side before the force of the bullets forced him back to the afterlife. Nodding, he quickly rolled to the side just in time to watch as Dennis faded from view, presumably back to the afterlife, awaiting until Dusan had the energy to summon him back to the physical plane.

"Thanks bud." He said. "I owe you one."
  19. Jake's face registered surprise when the his goggles flashed 'RESTRICTED ACCESS' at him, making their presence visibly known to all who were looking at his eyes. Critically analysing the reptilian-esque creature for the first time, he noted that there were several key differences between him and the raptors he looked so much alike, mainly the humanlike characteristics he held. His brow furrowed with thought, and his mouth moved from its usual smirk to a straight line.

This guy was going to be a complication.
  20. Dennis's eyes widened as he suddenly faded from view, sparing the one soldier a painful experience to the head. As of now, he was still barely tied to the physical realm, waiting for a convienent moment to become yet again corporeal.

    -----

Dusan wasn't in such a convienent position, however. He, being toward the back of the group, only had about half a second more of reaction time before the bullets made contact with his fleshy vessel, however, didn't have the convienance of cover.

But surely there was a way out, wasn't there?

Dusan saw none. He simply dove to the floor and hoped for the best, expecting them to fire levelly in a horizontal line.
  21. Dennis floated up towards the ceiling of the corridor, hoping to avoid being immediately spotted if enemies happened to be behind the door. Aside from this automatic precaution, he was pretty lax, even going so far as to glance at his watch as E-X slammed the door.

    -----

Dusan, however, was a different story.

    [ QUOTE ]
He gave an irritable shrug and drew back one red-glowing fist.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    "Wait a minute! I wouldn't do-"

    [ QUOTE ]
The energy-backed blow rang the blast door like a gong, slamming into it with enough force that, unless there was something odd about it, it would be sent scything through the air to embed itself in the far wall.

    [/ QUOTE ]

"...-That..." Dusan grimaced as the ambush he had sensed sprang into action. He proceded to 'convince' a few soldiers to fight for them instead of against, but if anything, he was glad that he was relatively useful again.

He sent a wave of pain to the souls of those he deemed hostile, which should hold them in place, unless they had some terrific spiritual defense. (Most don't.)

    -----

Dennis's eyebrows perked when he saw that there were actual enemies behind the wall, and quickly decided that instead of floating up there counting the casualties, he should be down there causing some.

Frowning, he blasted forward, slamming a fist into the face of some poor sap.
  22. Jake raised his eyebrows a bit. "Well, guess I have some pretty limited experience..." He muttered upon hearing Ineffable's explanation. "But then that leaves the question as to why they would have even been in contact with such an acid..."

(((If it's a stupid question, blame it on my ignorance, not Jake's. >.&gt)
  23. Jake stepped forward, awarding Toy with a courteous nod for his politeness. Giving Acid a good once over and scanning his... er... 'face' for any files Arachnos may have had on him, Jake got actively involved in the conversation.

"But what only dissolves organic things?" He simply asked, wanting to know at least an example before he was willing to accept the idea.

"No use in accepting an idea that isn't plausible."
  24. Dusan sighed and muttered something about that being the plan he had suggested, while at the same time putting up a field that would avert one's attention away from the group. He followed rougly fifteen paces behind Martin, planning on sticking to the rear.

    -----

Dennis simply shrugged at Martin's renewed outbreak and hovered his way toward the front of the pack, getting almost shoulder to shoulder with the squad leader and the undead brute.
