"I'm having trouble believing you. Why? Because my main hero side is claw/sr"
I don't want to hear from Scrappers whose only job is to do damage. You can't compare scrapper survivability to that of someone whose job it is to actually draw enemy fire. You don't get attacked as often as my brute does. You don't herd like I do. Stand in the middle of a herd that you grouped hitting the aggro cap and see how long you live. That's the job of a brute. SR brutes take more of a pounding than some scrapper who's only there for damage add.

OK, here is my Super Reflexes scrapper standing in the middle of 16 enemies letting them all pound on me while I take out an AV, solo, with no temporary powers and no inspirations. Anything else you think scrappers can't do because we're not expected to herd?
As far as your experiences, I recommend downloading Herostats, running it, and sending the results to the devs. Or just turning on the to hit rolls and sending them the text. That's assuming you're actually getting hit as often as you say you do. Because if you are, it's a bug. But I suspect what you'll see is observer bias it's easy to remember the hits, and hard to remember the misses. I suspect you'll see that over a long period of time, you're not getting hit all that often.

I can do similar things with my dm/sd brute. Its sad because it makes most other builds pointless after being so powerful. I'm only lvl 31 and only have basic IO's. Best character I've created so far. -

Wasn't it made clear by a developer that redraw has no affect on attack timing? I thought that the only drawback to redraw was aesthetic.

Wasn't it clear, that by the very nature of the question posted, that it was not clear to the op? -

The most fun powerset is the one used by whatever character I log into. If I don't find it fun, I delete the character. Some days I feel like scrapping, but my exact mood determines which scrapper will be the most fun for me. Other days I want to defend or corrupt, another day I might want to tank.
Take ANY combination of anything in the game and there is SOMEONE who finds it the most fun thing in the game.

Wow, you guys have really shed a lot of light on the discussion. -

Hello all, I wanted to make a superspeed themed brute.. so I was wondering out of super strength, electric melee, and energy melee, which has the fastest recharge?
[/ QUOTE ]
You could use sands of mu, dark melee's shadow maul, and flurry. All of them have super fast punches being thrown all in succession. -

I wanted to know do widows get the same benefits that scrappers/stalkers get with claws. Specifically the endurance/recharge discount that the set gives?
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Most attacks are low endurance. Somewhere in the range of 4-8 endurance or so. The attacks have different secondary effects though. The claws attacks from widows cause -recharge and -speed. The attacks have very fast attack speeds. Right around 1 second a piece except for the aoe type attacks. Hope this helps. -
Wasn't sure where else to post this...will Going Rogue have a graphical overhaul similar to what CoV had at launch?

So, I have this defender. Dark/elec, pretty fun on teams, and I'm about to hit level 30. Certainly I'm not the best at solo missions, and I'd like to be better. Electric blast is really not the best for damage, but I did like the idea of being a heroic sapper.
Do you guys have any build advice for a level 30 dark/elec? I have a fair amount of cash for IO's on various characters, so sets are certainly doable, though the rare ones may be out of my range.
Re-rolling is certainly an option. It wouldn't be the first time I've re-rolled a 30+ character, but I do want to keep the Dark/ primary.
Thanks!

I'm gonna have to agree with the person who mentioned re-rolling. I played a dark/electric defender up to lvl 39ish and its dreadfully slow. I picked the build purely out of concept.
Electric blast is not for the faint of heart. You have 2 mediocre attacks, a damage over time aoe which is low damage to begin with, short circuit, which is entirely unnecessary with the debuffs from dark, an unnecessary hold, and VS, which takes like 3 or 4 seconds to cast EVERY 60 SECONDS.
That being said, I think the set could instantly be brought up to par if they made VS perma.
You're welcome to give it a shot, but since my ill-fated dark/elec was retired, I've never seen a high level dark/electric. And I think its for good reason. -
We got our own guide thingy! Check out the "How not to suck as a dominator" thread in my sig! Very important if you're thinking of being a dominator.
