Quote:Walt Disney inspired actually and that'd be a real trivial thing to quit the game over w/out looking at the whole picture.Anime and manga. Most evil creations of Melkor. Yes yes I deeply hate all kind of anime and manga. They hurts my brains. So the first pages weapon is ugly as vultures place that I don't want to say. So hopefully there is some good looking weapons also. Actually I like Samuel Tows posted pictures.
Little bit more anime in coh and I'm out foreverSad end of five years of fun.

Quote:Even though giant swords exist in other mediums before Final Fantasy?Meh, in a perfect world, Final Fantasy would stay out of my comic book super hero game. Are there at least weapons that don't look like they came out of a jRPG?
In all fairness, I saw the sword and thought of Cloud from Final Fantasy 7, while others thought of Guts from Berserk or Nightmare from Soul Calibur. -

I never thought we'd get a bat aura...I'm happy...forever

my bad, forgot Invul falls a bit short before Tough (I think Invul used to cap itself w/out Tough, can't remember...)
but still...it's funny that Invul requires 1 toggle and 1 passive to hit 63% S/L, while DA requires two toggles to get about the same number for negative energy...
Quote:aye, IOs fix many many things, but the set by itself, the lack of KB can be the deciding factor if you kick the bucket because you can't activate your heal.Probably, other than the intense endurance consumption of DA, the lack of KB protection is annoying. I like hover with DA and of course I make room for KB protection IOs.
I think, overall, that problem is pretty easily rectified.
I want to roll a DA Tank...just can't decide on a secondary =\ -
I consider no knockback protection as a pretty big hole.

yeah, the final stories did end a bit abruptly...Master Midnight is the guy who took over the Midnighters and just...gets taken out so easily. I would have liked more development for Serene...they established she was a pretty big threat to Diabolique easily enough...then the finish just petered out.
overall though, I found First Ward to be nice to play through. -

I'd beat the crap out of my future self for not going back further and stopping my younger self from making bad decisions...

I always wondered about that...every other resist based set is capped to certain things...hell, Ice Armor is defense based and has capped resists to cold o_O

Quote:Titan Weapons is already on Test, or was yesterday, at least. The Paragon Store was down, however, so the set couldn't be purchased. The Test server has been down most of yesterday and most of today, so the set may be gone when it comes up. Personally, I hope both the set AND the store (and the SKU!!!) will be there when it comes back up.
so if everything pans out nicely...it would make a nice pre- or post-Halloween buy :3

It's better than Super Strength until Foot Stomp...then again, most sets are.
Despite people whining about the AoEs in StJ, I find them just fine, aside from purely ranged enemies, they'll gather around you easily enough.
I'm not quite sold on it for Tankers though...Brutes and Scrappers? definitely. -
Quote:and even when you leave the thread, you're filled with wrong.Oh, for f--k's sake, that's not what I said.
Just, you know what, forget it. You're right, clearly there is no difference between thinking a guy who goes looking for trouble with a camera crew in tow is a d-bag, and being a heartless ghoul who would watch someone kick puppies to death just to see them die. I don't know what I was thinking. Clearly we should all be roaming the streets administering pepper spray for justice and YouTube likes. To do any less would be inhumane and civically irresponsible.
Elvis wept.
on another note, apparently Phoenix Jones isn't really a "Average Joe" and was a MMA fighter.
there were a couple silly things about this...mainly the "keep my identity secret" thing, but overall...he's really just a good samaritan in a costume. -

wonder if anyone has tried to defeat that giant group of bosses in the Villain-side version yet...

Quote:I get the feeling we're going to have to free her again whenever they include 40-50 Praetorian content. Then we'll have some complaints about freeing her, trapping her, then freeing her againTell me something, if you would be so kind...
Would Golden Girl, the character you play as a hero, REALLY just walk away and leave Katie there because "it might be useful someday"? Knowing where she is and the kind of horrors she's going to be subjected to, knowing that you could get a bunch of people together and get her out RIGHT NOW, would Golden Girl really just leave and do nothing? Would she really think that's the right thing to do?
If she really thinks that the potential ends justifies what's going to happen, then congratulations. Cole would be proud of Golden Girl for finally coming to see things his way.
My HEROES, however, would not leave things like that. Hell, most of my Villains wouldn't, either. -
Quote:this has always been a issue w/ some players since the dawn of timeThese on-going tutorial missions must be pretty forgettable, since I run into players in their 30s, and it's almost as if they never ran them, because they don't know how to get to ATLAS PARK. Seriously, DFB seems to have completely negated any benefit these tutorial missions would've had.

Quote:It's been a few weeks since I finished the arc, but to take a stab at it...Warning: Spoilers in my reply!
Not really. We're told that he's been mind controlled by the Praetorians, but we never learn what he was tricked into doing, or why they bothered with this plot in the first place. For that matter, we never really learn who the hell the Praetorians are in this arc.
The ending to the story is a complete non sequitur. I was expecting much better.
-D
Mother Mammaries brainwashed him and gave him false memories, making him think he was from another time/dimension/universe, while sliding him into Primal Earth under the assumption the Praetorians are our saviors while having him build a portal to start another invasion under our noses. -
He's relatively easy, just need a few folks dedicated to taking out the seedlings, which also has a badge for defeating one of each.
