This approach is something that's been planned for awhile now, taking a cue from other famous, or infamous, comic book deaths.
Then again, the freaking loading screen used in part 3 wasn't all that subtle either :\ How you guys advertise a mystery story then blow it up before it's done just baffles me. -

on another note, Sgt. Slaughter is rumored to have a cameo role and I don't see Marlon Waynes listed in the cast list, so I guess it's safe to say he dies off camera? ;D
