Well, just for a lark, we set the SF to Master of... specifications - that ended fairly soon into the SF. :smirk:
We pushed on...took out the AVs & spawned Reichsman.
We had a nice team wipe. Regrouped & fought our way back to the end room. No more ambushes, but with the MM Temp Power being borked it took a bit of time to finish off Reichsman.
The Team:
Mr E-Lectric: Elec/Elec Brute
Whitestar Scrapper: SS/Inv Brute
Rogue Cyborg: Bots/FF Mastermind
Gabriel Keats: Fire/Rad Corruptor
Robin Rogue: Dark/Kin Corruptor
Wild-Kard: Bots/Poison Mastermind
Mourir: Fortunata
Inducto: Elec/??? Stalker
Stat Box: Team Pic (most of the team)
Thanks for joining everyone - sorry it took a bit longer than I had thought it would - I know a lot of the team were starting to get tired.
Next Wednesday, we'll do something fast to get everyone to bed at a reasonable time!
I'll probably post a sign-up something today or tomorrow. -
He did - changed his name to Star Ranger then later to Wildstar if memory serves...

Quote:Did you watch Johnny Sokko too? lolI got hooked on Space Giants when WTBS would run it after school. The main problem I had with it was why the kid would bother blowing the whiste one time for Gam or twice for Silvar? If trouble was a brewing just blow the whistle three times for Goldar and he mops up everything.
Yes, that was my main problem, never mind that somehow the 50ft Goldar found a way to conceive with Silvar the normal sized human woman.
My friends and I actually tried to recreate Lugo men scene with army men food coloring and applesauce.
PS Silvar was aight but she was no Electrawoman.
I haven't thought about these shows in a while... http://www.hulu.com/johnny-sokko-and-his-flying-robot -

If we add in all of the Alternates (and if everyone shows up) we have 12 people - more than enough to run two teams if everyone is interested.
LMK
Also a reminder that this is tonight! :smirk: -

I personally am not running a "Come Crash with Mr E" weekend this time around - it was a bit too much short notice for me. Plus, I've been feeling crappy the past couple of weeks.
I will be on when I can, and figured I could just do some PUG TFing/SFing -or- start leveling up my tank for Luna's next set of Monday Night Horde TFs.
I'm making this a lite DXP Weekend. -
Updated the Known Issues list with this note:
- In the Barracuda Strike Force, the Power of Black Scorpion that is given to Masterminds does not currently strip Reichsman of his dimensional phasing power.
-
Just reconfirming that I will be there with Beauty & also that I should be good stealthing to the control room to TP everyone down.

Strike Force Info & Stats:
- This Strike Force requires an 8-person team to start & I will set it to No Temp Powers (which includes Veteran Reward Powers) & 0 Defeats
- 6 missions (1 talk to)
- Badge(s): Servant of Recluse, Master/Mistress of Olympus, Annihilator, Master of Lord Recluse's Strike Force for No Deaths/No Temp Powers (no guarantees of course :smirk: ) plus progress towards the Monkeywrencher badge for Zeus Titans
- Merit Reward: 25
- This Strike Force (by necessity) will probably be limited to just one team, and we have had overages the past couple of times we ran – I do try to be fair about holding spots based on the sign-up order, but it is not always possible & I hope there will be no hard feelings.
- Stick together, listen to instructions & do not be afraid to offer your opinion on strategy!
- First Mission: Completely clear to all of the doors - including the turrets. The Scientist location can be ascertained by checking the number of red objective points in each door (3 yes/2 no). Wait for & clear the ambushes (3) after kidnapping the scientist (you may need to move him to the door to get the ambushes to spawn. Clear the left side to Crimson - Pets on passive to avoid Hero agro until we are set.
- Second Mission: In the water to the Khronos Titan. Clear around the nearby mobs & take out the Titan. Clear the mob in front of the door. Stealth & TP to the end area if possible, if not stick together & clear. Clear the two areas before opening up the door. After aggroing the Slinger, try to clear the surrounding mobs before taking him down to make it less hectic for when he spawns his bots.
- Fourth Mission: After talking to Grillo (Third Mission), move to the base of the Atlas Statue. We may need to clear some nearby mobs first. Pull to the front foot of the statue (furthest from the Heroes). Pull/Kill order: Numina, Sister Psyche, Manticore, BABs subject to pulling circumstances.
- Fifth Mission: Clear to the Vindicator door, while the rest of the team sets up back down the hall, someone stealthy should open the door. Pull/Kill order: Malaise, Swan, Luminary, Mynx, Valkyrie (x2) subject to pulling circumstances. Clear to the glowie. Set-up & wait for the ambush (we usually go back to the main hall by the large room). Clear to Ms Liberty. Use the rifle on her & take her down.
- Sixth Mission: Clear to the right side of the Atlas Statue (to avoid any cross agro). Stay together & keep buffs/debuffs running. From this side, Pull/Kill order: Numina, Synapse. Clear to the left side of the Atlas Statue. From this side, Pull/Kill order: Sister Psyche, Manticore. From here, we can determine which side to pull from next & which hero to pull. Of course this is all subject to pulling circumstances. Apparently if Statesman is mentally undressing Numina, it will result in an “All-Pull” situation. If this occurs, we will determine a strategy - perhaps logging out to reset the mission & hoping for a better distribution of the heroes. Conversely, we my try the sleep & pull method if we have the right team make-up.
- This is still a work in progress…so please chime in with ideas!
Red Tomax Guide: The Future of Freedom Strike Force
Paragon Wiki: The Future of Freedom Strike Force -
Quote:Great post - I really only watched the original & I also remember one came on in the '90s that I tried watching, but it was just plain bad... (I'm thinking that it was Tiga). In 1996, for the 30th anniversary, Ultraman franchise was revamped and they switched to a new universe (much like the many GUNDAM series) and created Ultraman Tiga. Then came Dyna, Gaia and many others with the majority in their own universe/timelines separate from the rest. Some may mention Nebula M78 where the original hails from or rehash classic monsters like Zetton or the Baltans but they are in their own universe.
In 2006 for the 40th anniversary, they return to the original universe where Ultraman, Ultraman Zoffy (the one that saved original after he was beaten), Ultraseven, Ultraman Jack/New Ultraman, Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Leo, Ultraman 80 and Ultraman Father, Ultra Mother and Ultra King all hail from. The new Ultraman was named Mebius and was a rookie Ultraman with a lot of power that even he didn't know he had who was sent to Earth to defend it from evil. On earth it was peaceful since Ultraman 80 departed by aliens and monsters were returning. Many were rehashes of classics, even Zetton was used. Though sadly the Baltans were not. As the TV series progressed, in theatres came the Ultraman Mebius and Ultrabrothers movie which shows where Original, Seven, Jack and Ace have been and why. The actors that play their human forms all return (yes even Hayata) to counsel the new Ultra and give advice and yes, to transform and fight.
Later in the Mebius series, Taro appears a few times along with Zoffy and Ultra Father lends a hand in an episiode. After that, Ultraman Leo appears to give Mebius and the defense team a verbal and physical kick in their seats to make them realize how serious and important their mission is.
Ultraman 80 appears as they wrap a loose end from his series.
Ultraman Ace appears to aid Mebius against his old foe the Yapool (I'm not making that name up), and to wrap a loose end from his series as well.
Ultraman Jack and Ultraseven appear in episdoes to give advice and assistance.
Then came episode 47......and the one monster that got away from the original Ultraman has now entered the scene. Mephilias (named after Mephistophles) is playing his old mind tricks and Mebius and when they face off for the final fight (which Mebius WOULD have lost), we see Hayata observing the scene then transforming to lend a hand.
The final 3 eps were the three part finale against the ultimate darkness.
Then came the Super 8 Ultra Brothers, yet another alternate Earth that Mebius visits while pursuing a great evil. The main purpose of this movie was to unite for the first time Tiga, Dyna and Gaia with some of the classics, in this case, Original, Seven, Jack and Ace along with Mebius.
There is a another series currently in production, but its yet another alternative universe and another movie which I hear will have whatever current Ultra is around joining with original and Ultraseven.
Good to see Hyata made it back into the series. -
I loved watching the original Ultraman when I was a kid...
I also watched The Space Giants: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulDe_9cd-78 (what cheese!)
I had a thing for Silvar... :smirk: -
Ive been remiss in not posting up the after-action report for this sorry, I was a bit busy yesterday sorry.
It was a good run, up until we started pulling the AVs at the end we aggroed all three, but after many a death later, we were able to finish them off.
The Team:
Beauty in a Bubble: Ill/FF Controller
Myrdinn: Eng/Eng Blaster
Maiden of Thorns: Plant/Storm Controller
Umbral-Goddess: Warshade
Spectra Kitty: Ill/Rad Controller
Scruffy Muffy: Stone/EM Tank
Dead Again: The Stat Box!
Thanks for joining everyone, it was a lot of fun as always! -
Quote:He is referring to Siphon Speed which increases his character's movement & recharge speed while slowing movement/recharge on the target. How did you have Speed Boost on a controller is you were 19ish? You don't get access to it until 20. Did you mean Increase Density? It's helpful, but not as spiffy as SB
However, it does not increase end...
And if he was using the standard Transfusion, Siphon Power & Siphon Speed chain - not counting any attacks - end issues would be prevalent...
Such is life in the lower levels. -
Quote:No, I wouldn't disagree.Grav/Kin... And I know you love your grav toons E, but I've got a Grav/Kin as well, and it has been a very painful struggle in the low levels with her
So maybe I'm biased against the combo
My only experience is with Dark Willow: Grav/Psi Dominator & I do love playing around with some of the powers like Wormhole & Lift, but the holds are definitely not up to Ice or Mind standards. They are also a bit end heavy if I remember correctly. -
Quote:Now I am curious...what powersets was Myrdinn playing? Something /Kin I take it...As I kinda mentioned a minute ago Myrdinn, I don't think *you* were doing anything wrong. That's not a great combo. In my experience, it doesn't seem to lock down the foes very well. You can get good damage outta that set, but it's difficult to get a good lockdown with it.
If you *really* want to lock them down, go Earth, Fire, Plant or maybe Ice.
Plus at that level, you should not have had Speed Boost, which is a key part of the Kinetic set. Also, make sure you double slot for accuracy in transfusion. Even with the "beginner's luck" increase in Accuracy, it still misses a lot.
*Also* Vahz and CoT ghosts are very resistant to being locked down.
Posi is just a hard hard TF, and it only gets worse the bigger the team. -
